Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

”I feel like my back is about to break.”

Lying on the sofa, Fang Zheng swung his neck back and forth while muttering to himself.

”It’s been a long time since I tackled such a big project, it almost killed me... ugh...”

Saying this, Fang Zheng glanced at the Dimensional Codex in front of him, where the Third Coordinate Point was shining brightly.

But for Fang Zheng, this was a very painful process.

Just as every deity sees the world from a different perspective, Fang Zheng and the Order clan also have different views on perceiving and using Divine Power. Take the coordinate point, for example; Fang Zheng simply couldn’t learn the methods and techniques used by the Order clan to create coordinate points, because he had no idea about the Order clan’s civilization, nor did he understand their technology.

Fortunately, Fang Zheng possessed the Order Seal, which could transform its information into something comprehensible to the user. This is why Fang Zheng was able to use programming to recreate the Third Coordinate Point. However, even so, it took Fang Zheng a lot of time. Although most of the content was kept intact, what Fang Zheng really needed to do was akin to restoring a broken antique.

But still, this consumed a lot of Fang Zheng’s energy, as realistically repairing a world is completely different from creating a video game.

”Anyway, now I can finally take a break... ugh, yes, there, a bit harder... well done, Midori.”

”How is it, Brother Fang Zheng? Does it feel good?”

Standing on Fang Zheng’s back, Fumie Busei gently stepped on him while inquiring, and Fang Zheng nodded.

”Yes, very comfortable. A bit harder down there... ugh, constant programming is making my body feel rusty... so many BUGs... BUGs... it’s driving me crazy...”

It would be great to have a few more assistants!

For this reason, Fang Zheng also complained to the Goddess of Order, only to be told by the Goddess of Order that the Order clan is born with the Order Seal, so they can, as Fang Zheng imagined, work together.

However, the problem is... the Order Seal cannot be transferred to others, Fang Zheng was just an exception, and the others... as seen before, all failed.

MMP, making me do the work of a whole company by myself and not even paying me?

And since that Goddess of Order is just an entity, she can’t help either, and although Fina possesses the Order Seal, she doesn’t know programming...

Headache...

”Master.”

As Fang Zheng was enjoying the cat-eared little girl’s massage, Nymph walked into the room.

”Hmm? Is there something you need, Nymph?”

”Yes, someone wants to meet you.”

”Meet me? Who?”

”The person claims to be from Hell and is a messenger of the Lord of the Nine Hells.”

”........ Huh?”

Upon hearing Nymph’s response, Fang Zheng was stunned.

As for Hell’s situation, Fang Zheng also heard from the Golden Dragon Girl that, unlike most people’s imagination, Hell in the Main World actually bears the frontline mission of combating Chaos. However, although on the surface Hell and the Main Dimension seem to have aligned interests, this isn’t always the case.

Although Hell’s mission is to oppose Chaos, unlike the Main Dimension, they need to use all means to fight the Chaos. Therefore, Hell also needs manpower, and their source of manpower is the Main Dimension.

It’s not easy for Hell to recruit forces from the Main Dimension; it’s not as simple as filing a report and then waiting for others to come knocking in response to a job ad. One must know, the battles in Hell are hell in the truest sense, not even offering full benefits would make anyone agree, so Hell must use various deceitful tactics to trick beings into falling to Hell and bolster their forces.

And in this aspect, there are several factions within Hell.

Utilizing Devils to secretly tempt and lure mortals to fall is considered the mainstream faction. However, there are other Devils who think this method is inefficient; they prefer to directly conquer the Main Dimension and utilize its beings as livestock to provide combat power.

After all, the Main World’s Goddess of Order only needs the presence of Order, be it good order or bad order, it doesn’t matter.

Having humans lead order is fine, but Vampires or Undead Creatures work too, and Devils can also be guides of Order, even Mind Flayers are acceptable.

Because of this, the relationship between Hell and the Main Dimension is relatively complex, but generally their interests align.

For instance, when the Kingdom of Flame secretly obstructed the Order restoration, the Order Sanctuary and Golden Dragon Girl immediately contacted Hell, ”allowing” them to take action against the Kingdom of Flame.

If the Kingdom of Flame won’t serve in restoring order in the Main Dimension, then let their souls fall into Hell to fight on the frontline.

The Kingdom of Flame now is but a shell, riddled with Demon Monsters running rampant. Devils have secretly manipulated and developed evil cults that occupy significant areas, while in other places, Liches lead Undead Creatures to turn large expanses of villages into wastelands.

The Kingdom of the Holy Church neither cares nor pays attention to this situation since they are separated by a Sea of Infinity. Not to mention, on that continent, Fang Zheng’s Swarm watches closely, and if the Devils overstep, they’ll quickly learn the meaning of a Scourge descending.

However, Fang Zheng himself had little interaction with Hell, so why would someone from Hell come looking for him now?

Could it be something happened to the Swarm I sent to Hell?

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng felt through the Swarm Network, discovering that the Swarm troop he dispatched to Hell were still living leisurely, eating, drinking, and occasionally battling little monsters.

And no one bothered them.

”Alright, I better see who came to find me...”

Reluctantly, Fang Zheng got up, changed clothes, and left the room.

When Fang Zheng arrived at the reception room, he finally understood how that Devil sneaked in.

”Yo, long time no see.”

”Yeah, long time no see.”

Seeing the grinning Golden Dragon Girl wave at him, Fang Zheng sighed.

Apparently, this Golden Dragon did indeed have connections with Hell.

”So, is it this person who has business with me?”

While speaking, Fang Zheng glanced at the man next to the Golden Dragon Girl. He appeared to have brown skin, a rather handsome face, dressed in formal attire, giving off the vibe of a family butler. However, Fang Zheng could identify his identity through the strong sulfurous smell emanating from him.

This was a Great Demon.

”Hello, Lord Fang Zheng.”

Noticing Fang Zheng’s gaze, the man stood up and gracefully bowed to Fang Zheng, his every movement giving the impression of a noble gentleman.

”My name is Mephistopheles. It’s truly an honor to meet you.”

”Mephisto?”

Hearing this name, Fang Zheng was momentarily taken aback.

”Isn’t Mephisto never supposed to come to the second layer?”

”......?”

”Oh, nothing, just speaking at random.”

Fang Zheng waved his hand and looked at the Mephisto in front of him.

”So, what brings a great demon from Hell to seek me out? I presume you’re not here for tea.”

”Yes, it’s quite presumptuous of me. I had to ask the Golden Dragon for a long time before she agreed to introduce me. I’m aware that you all don’t have a good impression of Devils, and I have no intention of changing your views either.”

Mephisto spoke calmly and courteously, and if one ignored the aura around him, this man before him seemed just like a cultured gentleman.

”Let’s get straight to the point then.”

”Alright, so... Honorable Lord Fang Zheng, may I ask if you are interested in making a deal with us?”

”... A deal?”

”Yes.”

Mephisto nodded with a smile.

”As you know, recently Hell acquired a batch of extremely capable individuals.”

Referring to those fools from the Kingdom of Flame, I suppose.

”However, we hope to further advance. The despair inherent in human nature and souls is so delectable. It seems wasteful to merely enjoy it. Therefore, we hope to establish a new country that can provide us with more souls and support.”

”So, I suppose you don’t mean the territory of the Kingdom of Flame then.”

Upon hearing this, Fang Zheng raised an eyebrow, and Mephisto hastily waved his hand.

”No, please listen to me.”

”Alright, I’m listening.”

”Hell has always had plans to invade the Main Dimension. As for the reason, I think you are well aware—we need those souls to resist and eliminate Demons. However, mere private temptations and corruption are too time-consuming. Thus, we’ve always desired to occupy a piece of land to achieve our goals.”

In plain terms, it’s like raising pigs, but the Main Dimension certainly wouldn’t allow such a devil-ruled country to exist.

”But recently, we’ve only just realized that this world isn’t the only piece of land. What we call the Main World is actually just a... how should I put it? Planet? A giant, floating sphere in an environment akin to the Star Realm... I believe I’m correct in saying that.”

”You’ve done quite a bit of homework, haven’t you?”

At this moment, Fumie Busei entered with tea, placing it in front of the three of them before bowing politely and leaving. Fang Zheng picked up a teacup and took a sip of the red tea inside.

”Of course, though it’s impolite to say it openly, the influence of Devils has deeply infiltrated humanity. Besides, you weren’t exactly keeping it a secret either, were you?”

So among those people sent by other forces, there were Devil’s believers, right?

Fang Zheng wasn’t particularly surprised by this; rather, he was quite calm about it.

”So, what is your intention?”

”We’ve come to know that the Main Dimension isn’t just comprised of this single sphere. Therefore... we hope that you could sell us another sphere of sorts... the harsh environment wouldn’t be an issue, and the price wouldn’t be a problem either. If you wish, I can make the decision to include some of the young girls currently used as goods and merchandise in Hell as part of the transaction. I’ve heard that, as the ruler of the Heavenly Dao Palace, you’ve always been protective of those frail girls. I believe this deal would certainly satisfy you.”

”Hmm, well... ahem.”

That was close; I almost agreed. Truly, it’s a Devil.

But...

”Interstellar development, huh... I never thought you guys would come up with such an idea.”

Fang Zheng clasped his hands together, staring at the great demon in front of him. He had to admit that Mephisto, as a Devil, considering such an idea was indeed unexpected for him.

Although it sounds chaotic at first, on careful thought, it actually wasn’t a bad proposal.

Hell can’t survive on the Main World planet. What they’ve been doing so far is essentially scavenging. But mere scavenging is clearly not enough for Hell. However, if they were to establish a country in the Main World, causing trouble, it would surely displease others and serve as a threat to other countries.

But if placed on another planet, then it wouldn’t be a problem.

Except...

”I understand your point, but regarding this matter, I will have to discuss it with others before making a decision.”

”Of course, I understand your concerns. I hope we can reach a perfect agreement.”

Saying this, Mephisto stood up, respectfully bowing to Fang Zheng, and then fire erupted from under his feet. In the blink of an eye, the great demon from Hell vanished without a trace.

”This is quite troublesome as well...”

Gazing at the spot where Mephisto had disappeared, Fang Zheng pondered for a moment and turned to the Golden Dragon Girl.

”Is Fina available?”

”Of course, she is waiting for you, Lord Fang Zheng.”

That’s good.

Perhaps, this might be a good opportunity.
