Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

To be honest, when Fang Zheng heard from Kato Megumi that Chumi Hodashima wanted to talk to him, he was a bit confused.

”What did you say to her?”

”She asked me why I broke up with Aki Tomoya, and... it’s hard to explain.”

”......”

This was understandable, because saying something like ”that guy can’t fulfill certain needs, so I had to break up” was obviously not something Kato Megumi would say. Plus, to be honest, half the reason she’s with Fang Zheng now is that she’s attracted to him... well, that’s even more of a reason to keep quiet.

”Alright, leave it to me, I’ll take care of it for you.”

After all, she’s considered his woman now, and since this trouble is coming towards Kato Megumi, Fang Zheng naturally could help resolve it, right?

So Fang Zheng pushed open the door and walked into the room.

Seeing Fang Zheng come in, the Red-Haired Girl who had been sitting on a chair quickly stood up. She was still in her ragged clothes, though she had tossed a jacket over them, which helped somewhat. But even so...

Oh, I see.

Fang Zheng glanced over the girl’s chest and nodded thoughtfully. Earlier, when Eiriri talked about this girl with an unhappy face, he wondered if she and Eiriri had some sort of grudge. Now it made sense... this girl was younger than both Eiriri and Kato Megumi, yet her chest was just as developed as Shiyu of Misty Hill’s...

Turns out she’s an enemy by default, so there’s no problem.

”Hello, I’m Fang Zheng.”

Fang Zheng nodded at the girl in front of him, and the Red-Haired Girl also quickly nodded back in greeting.

”Hello, nice to meet you, I’m Chumi Hodashima.”

”I heard from Megumi that you wanted to see me?”

”That’s right, um... Mr. Fang Zheng, are you dating Senior Kato?”

”Pretty much.”

Facing Chumi Hodashima’s question, Fang Zheng nodded.

”Is there a problem? And not to mention Kato Megumi, I’m also dating Eiriri.”

”... What?!”

Confronted with Fang Zheng’s explosive revelation, Chumi Hodashima was dumbfounded.

”Are you saying you’re dating both of them at the same time?”

”Correct.”

”But, but they both like Senior Tomoya, and Senior Kato is his girlfriend!”

”So what?”

However, upon hearing this, Fang Zheng snorted lightly.

”When it comes to beauties, the capable ones should have them. Eiriri is so pretty and doesn’t have a boyfriend; what’s wrong with me dating her?”

”But Senior Kato does have a boyfriend!”

”If he can’t even keep his girlfriend, that’s his own fault for being inadequate.”

Fang Zheng chuckled, watching Chumi Hodashima clench her fists in front of him.

”Isn’t that how love works? Whoever has more to offer will win over the beauties. In terms of looks, talent, identity, status, and wealth, which part of me is worse than that shut-in Aki Tomoya? The scenario where an average otaku defeats a rich and handsome guy to win a beauty’s heart only happens in anime and novels; real life isn’t that easy. Not to mention that loser is simply no match.”

”No, you can’t talk about Senior Tomoya like that!”

Upon hearing this, Chumi Hodashima immediately clenched her fists, glaring at Fang Zheng like a furious little squirrel. However, Fang Zheng wouldn’t... just listen to her.

”Isn’t it true? Just because he got dumped, he gives up on himself and even attempts a crime. What’s ridiculous is that he even failed. Such a loser is someone I can’t respect. Aki Tomoya has no value at all, just a waste.”

As he said this, Fang Zheng spread his hands, revealing a cold smile. Hearing his words, Chumi Hodashima’s eyes turned red with anger. She clenched her fists tightly, yet had no way of refuting, because Aki Tomoya indeed became a shut-in after breaking up with Kato Megumi, and even... thinking about that, Chumi Hodashima couldn’t help but recall the things he said when he attacked her. At that moment, he didn’t look like the Senior Tomoya she remembered, but a complete stranger!

”You... you...”

”And besides, what does the fate of that loser have to do with you?”

”Huh?”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s reply, Chumi Hodashima was momentarily stunned.

”What are you... saying?”

”I’m asking, do you have deep feelings for that loser? You have to know that guy attempted assault, and you’re the victim, yet you’re so concerned about the perpetrator? What’s your relationship with that loser? Are you one of those secretly in love with him?”

”Of course not!”

”I thought so, otherwise that loser wouldn’t have been arrested for his crime.”

”No, that’s not what I mean...”

At this point, Chumi Hodashima was also dumbfounded, unsure of what to say, whereas Fang Zheng clearly didn’t care.

”Whatever, anyway, that guy is done for life. Hahaha, an obese nerd playing 18+ games and then assaulting a junior who came to visit—those are the kind of stories the media love. I bet it won’t be long before they even dig up who his mom is, though to be honest, he brought this upon himself.”

”This...”

Upon hearing this, Chumi Hodashima finally seemed to react, and instantly turned pale.

Just as Fang Zheng mentioned, there is indeed a tradition of collective discrimination and bullying in Japanese society. Like in the previous Death Game incident, those victims were shunned by society afterward. It was only thanks to Fang Zheng’s influential intervention that the matter was ultimately suppressed.

But criminals like these are different.

The Japanese media have always been fond of the shut-in + criminal narrative, much like America’s obsession with political correctness. It’s unavoidable to report it, and once they do, the criminals and their families inevitably face social death. At that point, not only are there endless harassment calls, but people might even paint accusations like ”criminal” outside their homes, and even their parents could be implicated and lose their jobs. Ultimately, they might either flee to distant places or choose family suicide — such incidents are not uncommon in Japan!

Honestly, even Chumi Hodashima herself was so shocked by this matter that her mind is still a mess. It was not until Fang Zheng spoke up that she finally realized what the consequences could be if things continued like this.

What should we do!?

”What’s wrong with you?”

Seeing Chumi Hodashima in this state, Fang Zheng slightly raised an eyebrow, while Chumi Hodashima hurriedly spoke.

”If things go on like this, Senior Tomoya will be completely doomed!”

”Yes, serves him right.”

”No, but, but I wasn’t planning to...”

”Telling me this won’t help, speak to the police... oh, it might be too late.”

While saying this, Fang Zheng looked up at the window, and at this point, Chumi Hodashima finally noticed several media vehicles parked outside, with many reporters holding cameras and microphones approaching. She then saw Aki Tomoya’s fat figure being escorted out of the police station by officers. Though the police covered his head with a layer of clothing according to protocol and he was wearing a mask, it was completely ineffective. Upon seeing Aki Tomoya appear, the media reporters instantly crowded around like cats smelling fish, and the flashlights kept going off.

”Mr. Aki Tomoya, may I ask why you assaulted your junior?”

”The police found thousands of 18X game discs in your home. Did these games lead to your intentions?”

”Anything you’d like to say to the victim?”

”Have you considered how your parents would feel knowing this...”

Of course, when faced with the media’s questions, Aki Tomoya did not answer a word and was taken into the police car, which then drove away.

Seeing this, Chumi Hodashima instantly turned pale, knowing that with the media present, they definitely wouldn’t let it stop there!

”Oh wow, the media is fast, there’s already a report.”

At this moment, Fang Zheng also picked up his phone, glanced at it, and chuckled, while Chumi Hodashima quickly grabbed her phone and entered the news website. Sure enough, she immediately found the news titled ”Otaku Arrested for Attacking Junior” in the social news section. It detailed the incident and specifically noted, ”During the search, the police found a large quantity of 18X game discs at the suspect A’s home, which might be related to the suspect’s motives. Investigation is ongoing...”

Below the news in the comment section were numerous replies insulting Aki Tomoya, and some even provided specific information. After all, the apartment where Aki Tomoya lived was already in a dilapidated condition with poor soundproofing, and the person who reported the incident certainly had no obligation to keep the suspect’s information confidential, so things were already being exposed.

”What do I do, what do I do!”

”Why are you so anxious?”

Watching Chumi Hodashima run around with her phone, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow.

”Your personal information hasn’t been leaked.”

”But, but Senior Tomoya did it for me...”

Your thinking is quite unconventional, little girl.

Seeing this, Fang Zheng suddenly felt a stir inside him, then let out a cold laugh, pressing against the wall beside Chumi Hodashima and cornering her.

”What? You still want to save him?”

”Yes, yes...”

”Clearly, it’s because of you that he’s caught, right.”

”But, but because of that, I want to... go to the police and say there’s no need to investigate, they’ve got it wrong...”

”This is a criminal case, not a civil one where you can withdraw charges.”

”...”

”Given the situation, let me give you some advice.”

Seeing Chumi Hodashima like this, Fang Zheng coldly laughed.

”I can help you get that waste released, even erase the information online, but I have one condition.”

”What condition?”

”That is...”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng reached out, tilted Chumi Hodashima’s chin, forcing her to look at him.

”Become my woman.”

”... Eh?”

”How about it? If you’re willing to be my plaything, then I’ll help you protect that waste. Do you have such resolve?”

Looking at Chumi Hodashima, Fang Zheng spoke.
