Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

After leaving the mess Feli had created for Feli to handle (though Feli adamantly refused to admit it was her mess), Fang Zheng quickly moved to Alisa’s location.

”It should be around here...”

Glancing at the dilapidated, long-abandoned village before him, Fang Zheng frowned and walked forward. As soon as he entered the village, he saw a petite figure flicker past not far from him.

Hm? That is...

Taking two steps forward, Fang Zheng sensed a little girl secretly peeking at him from behind. As Fang Zheng turned his head, she immediately shrank back.

So Fang Zheng continued forward, but the little girl peeked out again... Fang Zheng stopped, and she shrank back again.

What an amusing little creature.

Fang Zheng chuckled and continued forward. If he were simply out for a stroll, he might tease the little girl for fun. However, Alisa’s situation wasn’t good... it was better to deal with the trouble on Alisa’s side first.

Thinking this, Fang Zheng quickened his pace, heading toward the source of Alisa’s aura.

Soon, inside an abandoned house, Fang Zheng saw Alisa leaning against the wall, unconscious.

”Hm, this is quite pitiful.”

Seeing Alisa’s completely transformed monster-like right hand, Fang Zheng shook his head, then walked over to Alisa and raised his hand. But in the next moment...

”Whoa!!”

A petite figure suddenly rushed in from outside the door, slamming toward Fang Zheng. Fang Zheng extended his other hand, pressing down on her little head while snapping his fingers. Soon, a Holy Light quietly emerged, shining on Alisa’s right hand. Shortly, Alisa’s previously pained expression gradually became calm, and her originally transformed right hand gradually returned to its original form under the Radiance.

Seeing this, the little girl who had been headbutting Fang Zheng gradually relaxed, while Fang Zheng glanced at her and smilingly patted her head.

”Alright, it’s over, no need to be nervous.”

”......”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s words, the little girl tilted her head, looking at him.

”Nervous?”

”Yes, don’t be nervous. Wait, let me administer something first.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng opened his personal terminal and applied a dose of medical gel to Alisa. Moments later, Alisa finally began to awaken.

”...Ugh...Fang Zheng...Mr. Fang?”

Seeing Fang Zheng in front of her, Alisa was momentarily stunned, then suddenly widened her eyes, sitting up.

”Ah? Is it Mr. Fang? Am I dreaming?”

”Yes, it’s me. Come on, eat something first; you look like you haven’t eaten in days.”

While speaking, Fang Zheng retrieved some water and bread, which Alisa took without hesitation, quickly devouring and guzzling down a bottle of water, gradually regaining some vitality. Only then did she notice her right hand.

”My right hand...?”

”Yes, I’ve already healed it; for now, you don’t have to worry about major issues.”

”Healed...”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s response, Alisa seemed a bit unable to accept it, but having traveled with Fang Zheng for so long, she knew the man before her possessed power beyond her imagination, so possessing such strength... well, it’s not surprising.

By the way!

”Mr. Fang Zheng, this isn’t the time to discuss these things!”

Realizing this, Alisa’s face changed dramatically.

”The director... he’s planning a conspiracy, we must stop him!”

”Oh, I kind of expected this. By the way, we should head back, or the whole Fenrir might be turned upside down.”

”...Ah?”

When Fang Zheng returned to Fenrir with Alisa, Alisa finally understood the situation.

”Alisa!!”

Seeing Alisa’s arrival, Feli and the others finally sighed in relief.

”Great, you’re finally back! We’ve been worried about you all along...”

”Sorry, Miss Saten, for making everyone worried.”

Facing Saten Reiko, who rushed over and held her hand, Alisa felt a bit embarrassed. Saten Reiko blinked and looked beside Alisa.

”Eh? Who is this child?”

”Her name is Hio, she saved me...”

When Fang Zheng left with Alisa, Hio naturally followed along, and Alisa certainly wouldn’t forget the cute child, so she brought her back here.

But...

”What’s going on here?”

Seeing the crowd of adventurers surrounding Fenrir, Alisa was baffled, especially noticing they had surrounded Fenrir, making her completely clueless.

”Everyone heard Miss Alisa was framed by that director, so we’ve come to help!”

”Ah... is that so?”

”That’s right!”

”Miss Alisa, you’re finally back, lead us to take down that wicked scoundrel!”

The players watching the commotion began shouting, which left Alisa speechless. Initially, she had prepared herself for disbelief upon returning to the group, but what surprised Alisa was, why do so many people believe her?

”By the way, what exactly happened?”

Now, Feli also arrived before Alisa, amidst the crowd, and seeing Feli, Alisa’s expression changed slightly.

”Miss Feli? How did you...?”

Seeing Feli in a wheelchair, her right leg still in a cast, Alisa felt like she’d seen this scene somewhere...

”She brought it on herself.”

Fang Zheng chuckled, while Feli glared at him in frustration.

Speaking of which, this is already the third time...

”Anyway, tell us what happened first.”

Kuroko Shirai also came over, and hearing this, Alisa nodded, her expression becoming much more serious.

”Indeed, actually, I originally needed everyone’s help with this matter.”

After that, everyone brought Alisa back to the cabin, where she quickly explained the situation to them. Under Alisa’s explanation, the group finally understood the whole story.

According to Alisa, after she returned to Fenrir, she immediately found Minister Kalian to explain the situation regarding the Seed of the World. Initially, Alisa thought Kalian would act immediately, but Kalian said he would conduct an investigation before making a decision. At that time, Alisa didn’t think much of it and quickly left.

But after this, the situation changed. Kalian told Alisa not to tell others about the Seed of the World, which struck Alisa as strange. The news about the Seed of the World had already spread from Jernie, and even if she didn’t say anything, people within Fenrir would know. Yet Kalian still insisted on secrecy, and he didn’t seem to have any intention of obtaining the Seed of the World.

At first, Alisa just found it odd, but by chance, she overheard Kalian talking to himself.

”I never expected such a thing as the Seed of the World to exist, but I won’t stop my plan because of it!”

What plan does the Minister have?

Curious about this, Alisa began investigating secretly and discovered a shocking secret!

”The Minister is conducting a plan called Holy Shield, and I don’t know the specifics, but he seems to want to destroy the world!”

”Huh?!”

Upon hearing this, everyone was stunned into silence, except Fang Zheng, who was expressionless, feeling no emotional upheaval—he even felt like laughing.

”So, what are the specifics?”

”I don’t know the specific situation either. I’ve discussed it with the Minister, but he only told me it’s to save the world... then refused to converse further. I originally wanted to investigate more, but due to a task I...”

”I see, but what do we do now?”

”Up to now, I have no evidence, and confronting the Minister is out of the question...”

Speaking here, Alisa also helplessly lowered her head, while Fang Zheng chuckled and clapped his hands.

”Well, no need to be so tense.”

”Mr. Fang Zheng, do you have a plan?”

”Without evidence, we just need to find it, right?”

”But... how can we find it?”

”Do you have any clues?”

”There are some clues, but they’re not sufficient, right?”

”Having clues is enough, leave the rest to them.”

While speaking, Fang Zheng glanced outside at the adventurers curiously peeking by the window and doors.

”........Huh?”

In the base area, a short-haired woman was executing a patrol task.

During this period, various undercurrents were surging inside Fenrir, and the news brought by those adventurers was making her restless. Yet in such circumstances, Minister Kalian took no action, which was strange. She wanted to talk with Amamiya Ryōtan, but he was nowhere to be found... where has he gone?

”Knock, knock, clang, clang!”

At this time, she seemed to hear strange clashing sounds coming from the distant warehouse, causing the woman to frown as she walked over. There, she saw several adventurers with their backs turned, tinkering with something.

”What are you doing!”

Seeing this, the woman shouted angrily, scaring the adventurers into turning around. Upon seeing her clearly...

”What, it’s Miss Sakuya, don’t scare me like that.”

”Really, almost gave me a heart attack.”

Facing the woman, the adventurers displayed an ”you’re bored, scaring people for fun” demeanor, leaving Sakuya unsure of how to react.

”Wait, why are you here? Weren’t you banned by the Minister from entering Fenrir?”

At this point, Sakuya also realized, these people being here... it’s clearly suspicious!

”Indeed, we snuck in!”

”Snuck in?”

Is this your idea of sneaking in?

Facing the bold adventurers, Sakuya was dumbfounded.

”Aren’t you worried I’ll report you?”

”Huh? But Miss Sakuya is an ally, right.”

”As long as the Minister doesn’t find out, it’s fine.”

”Miss Sakuya’s name is green, don’t worry. If it was that red-name creature, we’d definitely run.”

”..........”

What are they saying?

Though Sakuya already knew these adventurers had a habit of speaking nonsense... she couldn’t understand anything they were saying!

”Ah, found it!”

At this moment, another adventurer shouted, reaching out to press on the side of a wall, which then began cracking open, revealing a cavity. Seeing this, Sakuya was dumbfounded, while the adventurers were elated.

”Great, we found it first!”

”Keep going, keep going!”

As they spoke, they prepared to enter. However, at this moment, Sakuya hurried to stop them.

”Wait, what is all this?”

She urgently stopped the adventurers, her voice seriously inquiring. Seeing Sakuya’s expression, the adventurers exchanged looks. Just when Sakuya thought they intended to kill her...

”We’re here to save the world!”

”......Huh?”

”Miss Alisa said that the Minister plans to destroy the world, but she only has clues, no evidence. So she asked us to find evidence. Miss Sakuya, want to join us?”

”..........”

Faced with the adventurer’s invitation, Sakuya’s mind froze, leaving her stunned on the spot.

What’s happening here?
