Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Sakuya felt like she’d lost her mind.

Logically, upon discovering intruders, she should either report them immediately or chase them out, but right now...

”Is what you’re saying true?”

Recalling what she’d just heard, Sakuya felt completely dumbfounded.

The boss wants to destroy the world?

How could that be possible?

”Of course, but since there’s no evidence, bringing evidence would be too troublesome. But since Ms. Sakuya, you’re on the inside, can’t you just confirm it yourself? This way, in case the enemy removes the evidence, at least we won’t be making a wasted trip.”

”But... even if that’s the case, why are you all so sure it’s the boss who’s doing this?”

In face of Sakuya’s inquiry, the adventurers exchanged glances.

”Because he’s handsome.”

”And he’s a high-ranking leader with untold secrets.”

”He also framed Miss Alisa.”

”It must be him!”

............

What a load of nonsense!

Initially, Sakuya thought these adventurers were just brushing her off with ridiculous claims, but from their expressions... they were actually serious?

”Do you really think that?”

”Of course, Ms. Sakuya, you might not know this, but let me tell you, usually guys who are good-looking, always smiling with blond hair, are definitely no good!”

The leading adventurer spoke to Sakuya with a tone suggesting she’d seen too little of the world, leaving Sakuya feeling entirely out of step with their thinking.

”But don’t you think there’s a possibility that Alisa’s misleading you?”

Sakuya frowned slightly. Although she wasn’t fond of the boss, she felt she should do something from Fenrir’s standpoint... at least offer some defense.

”Maybe she has a grudge against Fenrir, so she’s using you...”

”It doesn’t matter.”

Yet, the adventurers’ response once again left Sakuya flabbergasted.

”After all, Miss Alisa is beautiful.”

”I don’t think Miss Alisa is that kind of person. She seems like a natural airhead, not someone who’d plot intrigues.”

”Exactly, exactly, after all, we’ve come a long way.”

”But... could it be her disguise?”

Sakuya desperately tried to persuade them, but the adventurers’ response was...

”Isn’t that great too?”

”Darkening is a charm point too!”

”If Alisa is really using us, it means she must have her reasons.”

”Yeah, yeah, isn’t it generally like this? A cute girl with a tragic past is forced into darkness. But honestly, I don’t think Alisa fits that role, she seems quite pure.”

”Exactly, at first, she seems especially cold, but once you get to know her, you realize it’s just because she’s not good at communicating with people. Such a cute girl is just awesome! If she becomes straightforward, she’d be absolutely adorable.”

And so, as they talked, the adventurers got all hyped up on their own.

”Speaking of which, what kind of event do you think would change Alisa?”

”A love event maybe?”

”And who would be the other party? Could it be the boss?”

”The boss, huh... they do look good together, but isn’t it a problem? The boss already has quite a few girls by his side.”

”It’s a harem, they’re all like this.”

”But there can only be one main queen, right? Who do you think has the best chance?”

”I think Ruiko is great, she’s beautiful and cheerful.”

”But Ruiko is obviously paired with Lei, didn’t you see how they interact? It’s totally a yuri couple.”

”Maybe it’ll become a threesome?”

”Seducing one equals seducing both? That seems advantageous. And Lei is quite chummy with the boss as well.”

”Speaking of yuri couples, isn’t Kuroko and Mikoto also a pair?”

”That’s no good, Kuroko kicks any man who gets close to Mikoto.”

”I think Feli has a good chance. You know how they say fighting means closeness, Feli’s always touching and hitting the boss, that means she likes him, right?”

”Her being a tsundere with a stoic personality is quite the charm too.”

”You guys...”

Listening to this, Sakuya was completely at a loss for words.

The values of these people were entirely on a different wavelength from hers, and they didn’t seem like they were just dazzled by Alisa, so what on earth was happening!

Weren’t we discussing something extremely serious just now? Why has this conversation turned to love topics?

But speaking of which, where does this passage lead to?

Abandoning trying to communicate with the adventurers, Sakuya began focusing on the ”serious” issue at hand.

According to the adventurers, the clue provided by Alisa mentioned a secret passage for transporting supplies, and these adventurers came to find it.

It now seems this passage does exist, and it indeed appears to be for transporting supplies.

This was what puzzled Sakuya the most; she never knew Fenrir had any internal secret plans, let alone world destruction... how could that be possible?

However, at this moment, everyone reached the end of the passage, where a giant iron door blocked their way.

”Ah, we’ve reached the end.”

”As expected, we can’t get in.”

After saying this, a few adventurers quietly approached the iron door, and then Sakuya saw them pulling out some paper packages from somewhere and sticking them onto the door. Seeing this, Sakuya suddenly had a very bad feeling.

”Wait, what are you going to do?”

”We’re going to blow the door open, of course.”

Yet, in response to Sakuya’s inquiry, the adventurers carelessly gave her an answer that made her go black in vision.

”You can’t do this, there might be Fenrir’s top secret inside!”

”Tsk tsk tsk, that’s where you’re wrong, Ms. Sakuya.”

”...Wrong about what?”

”The so-called secrets are generally things you don’t want others to see, right! Because if someone sees them, it will cause trouble, which is why they become secrets. So, there must be evidence hidden inside!”

”What if there isn’t one?”

”There must be, it’s all part of the plan, absolutely no problem!”

How could there be no problem!!

However, at this moment, no matter what Sakuya said, it was useless, because those adventurers had already swiftly installed the explosives and immediately retreated back, and the next moment, a dazzling flash mixed with a deafening burst resounded, filling the space in front of Sakuya’s eyes. When the radiance faded and the smoke dispersed, Sakuya could only watch the massive hole blown open in the twisted steel door, while the adventurers enthusiastically clapped their hands.

”YEAH!”

”The explosives I exchanged from the Azure Fleet were totally worth it! The power is really extraordinary! I was originally worried it wouldn’t explode!”

”That’s the benefit of the Free World, in other games, if we can’t open the door, we might even have to find a key......”

”Right, right, why bother finding a damn key and password, if we can’t find them, just blast it open! Besides, we have Miss Sakuya here, as long as she sees the evidence, then we don’t have to look anymore, right?”

Wait, is it my fault? Is this my fault?!

Hearing these adventurers’ words, Sakuya’s face turned pale. However, before she could say more, those adventurers had already ventured inside. And at this point, Sakuya had no way out, she could only grit her teeth and follow the group into the room.

”I need to see what you’re all talking about......”

Yet, upon entering the room and seeing the scene before her, Sakuya was stunned in place.

In this round room, there were glass jars all around that appeared like specimens, and these glass jars were connected by vein-like things extending to the center, and in the center was......

”What is......this?”

Seeing the enormous Wild God in front of her, Sakuya was completely dumbfounded.

Though only its head was exposed, the body entirely covered by cold steel, just the sight of such a head was enough to leave Sakuya deeply shocked. Why? Why does Fenrir have a place like this inside, and what is with this Wild God? Why is there such a huge Wild God here, and......looking at the Wild God cores floating in those glass jars beside, is this Wild God being nourished all along?

Thinking of this, Sakuya suddenly realized that every time they completed a mission, they were asked to hand over the defeated Wild God cores, originally no one questioned it, but now it seems, the Wild God cores handed in weren’t simply for research purposes!

However, it was at this moment that a voice rang out.

”Truly didn’t expect this place to be discovered, it seems I underestimated you all.”

With these words, a figure slowly appeared, and seeing his presence, Sakuya widened her eyes in surprise.

”Minister?”

”Unexpected indeed, Sakuya-kun, I originally thought only Alisa and Gentian were probing for intel, turns out you are the mastermind?”

”No, this is.........”

Hearing this, Sakuya felt like she was getting hit while lying down, yet at this point, she couldn’t say much. And since things have come to this......

”Minister, what exactly are you planning to do?”

”Don’t you know yet? You came here to sabotage my ’Final Predation Plan’, even to use such a method, seems like I really was too careless.”

No, I was just brought here by these people! And these adventurers came only because they didn’t feel like finding keys and passwords to open doors!

Sakuya felt nothing could clear her name now, it looked like Kalian completely saw her as the knowledgeable enemy side, from his words, even potentially believing Amamiya Ryōtan and Alisa were coordinating with her to conduct investigations?

This blame......Do I have to take it even if it’s not mine?

I was just passing by!!!

But compared to this, there was something more important.

”Final Predation Plan?”

”That’s right.”

Hearing Sakuya’s query, Kalian nodded, then extended his hand.

”The Final Predation induced by the Wild God will lead this planet towards complete destruction and rebirth, and this is my plan.”

”You, you’re actually.........!”

Faced with this completely unexpected answer, Sakuya’s face turned pale, she certainly understood Kalian’s meaning. Which means, Kalian intends to use this absurdly massive Wild God to devour the entire world?!

”Why do you want to do this?!”

”Because only this way can save this world, completely reborn! First, completely extinguish all species, then reconstruct the history of life. Humans will board the Ark, bringing their heritage into a new world! This way, everything can be saved!”

Hearing this, Sakuya was dumbfounded.

”You, you’ve gone mad? Didn’t Alisa say there’s the Seed of the World? If we use that......”

”Hehe, I won’t believe such talk that sounds like a myth, besides, according to Alisa’s description, even that Seed of the World cannot save the entire world, right.”

”Ah, confessed.”

”Confessed, preparing for the BOSS battle, it is.”

Unlike Sakuya, who was dumbfounded and at a complete loss, the other adventurers seemed to have anticipated this, speaking as they drew their weapons, and even one of them took out a small crystal from their pocket and threw it on the ground with force.

”Boom!!!”

In the next instant, a magic circle suddenly appeared on the ground, and then a group of people instantly emerged from within.

”Damn, found the BOSS so quickly, you guys are something!”

”Hahahaha, that’s why when your actions are slow it turns out like this, plus this guy has completely explained his plan! I knew that Miss Sakuya’s appearance wasn’t random, she must have been secretly watching and gathering intel all along!”

”Eh? Really?”

”Is that so? Sakuya? Did you also sense the Minister’s plot?”

Hearing these familiar voices, Sakuya then realized that among the crowd, besides adventurers, Alisa and Amamiya Ryōtan were also present, they too, were looking at her with surprise.

”Truly unexpected, that you’d already sensed something, Sakuya......”

I really just happened to be passing by ahhhhhhh!!! I was brought along with them, I know nothing ahhhhhhh!!!

Hearing Amamiya Ryōtan’s comment, Sakuya felt an urge to find a place to bang her head.

”But why are you doing this!?”

Misaka Mikoto glared at Kalian standing on the other side, unable to understand, and at this moment Kalian’s face was also gloomily dark, apparently, he didn’t expect the opponent to bring in so many people in an instant.

”Clearly, once we have the Seed of the World, the contaminated lands can be restored, and the Wild God will disappear too?”

”So what?”

”Eh?”

Faced with Kalian’s unexpected response, everyone was startled.

”For this day, do you know how much I sacrificed? For what reason did I go to such lengths? Only I can save the world, only through complete Final Predation can this planet achieve redemption!”

Saying this, Kalian leaped forward, reaching beside something, it was only then everyone saw there was another Wild God’s body there, and Kalian directly leapt into it, quickly merging with the massive Wild God before them.

”I won’t let anyone interfere, you all have to die!”

With Kalian’s roar, the ground around them began to tremble, then mutated-looking Wild Gods emerged from the shadows, encircling everyone.

”Oh ah...... another Emiya Kiritsugu, truly hopeless.”

Fang Zheng yawned and snapped his fingers.

”Alright, start the BOSS.”

As Fang Zheng’s voice fell, the players rushed at the enemy like a swarm of locusts.
