Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

The target of the Azure Fleet might be the alien invaders, but Fang Zheng does not plan to deal with all these creatures by himself. Of course, he is capable of handling them by himself, but doing so would leave nothing for the people of this world.

After all, Fang Zheng’s Primordial Fire is a flame that burns everything to ashes, leaving no trace of wreckage except dust.

Moreover, besides these, the aliens’ ground forces are equally troublesome.

Fang Zheng does not plan to deploy ground troops; after all, doing everything for them would be mere pampering. They need to fight, advance, and embark on their journey themselves. Even if there will be sacrifices or mistakes, as long as they can endure, it should be fine.

Now, he only hopes they can solve the ”exam question” quickly so he can fully focus on the impending enemy.

Fang Zheng gazes at the infinite starry sky before him, slightly furrowing his brows. According to Fang Zheng’s prediction, once the mastermind notices the situation is unfavorable, it will act immediately. The Azure Fleet is an unprecedented force in this world, so when these alien invaders sense a stronger enemy’s presence, they will certainly become more cautious.

The Black Forest Theory.

The universe is a forest, each creature having its own way of life and hunting behavior. When any creature encounters a new species, it will first test to determine if the opponent poses a threat, and then consider if hunting it would be profitable.

Thus, to propagate and survive in the forest, each species has evolved different abilities.

Some creatures choose to intimidate others by showcasing their bodies immediately, while others, like snakes, hide in leaves, cautiously watching their surroundings, ready to strike at unsuspecting prey. Some animals opt to feign weakness to lure prey, much like the deep-sea anglerfish that attracts others with its luminescence only to swallow them whole.

In Fang Zheng’s view, America on Earth has committed nearly every taboo of the Black Forest Theory.

Broadcasting radio signals outward—like a sheep loudly bleating on the grassland, afraid lions, tigers, and eagles won’t notice its presence.

Charging toward incomprehensible things without hesitation—as if seeing a shiny fish, unaware that waiting ahead might be a bloodthirsty mouth.

Most importantly, underestimating real strength between friends and foes.

Why does a chicken on the ground think it can soar like an eagle in the sky? A civilization that can’t even traverse the Earth-Moon orbit, what makes them so arrogant to assume equality with galaxy-spanning civilizations?

If it were the likes of the Heavenly Dao Palace now, seeing such a civilization would be akin to seeing a pesky, barking dog by the roadside—inconsequential and tedious.

More kindly, I’d simply drive away without bothering.

Yet, if irritated—why not run over the dog with my car?

What business does it have barking frantically before me?

The current situation is like predators in the forest joining forces to share the foolish yet delightful lamb they see before them. But suddenly, a prey they’ve never seen appears, driving them away. In such circumstances, the predators are bound to want to figure out what this newcomer is and if killing it would yield even greater rewards.

This is why Fang Zheng only deployed the First Fleet and visibly put up defenses—to lure the others.

If sheer strength is notable but lacks numbers, predators will obviously see it as prey, especially collective hunters. Like a wolf pack, although most people think animals like wolves and jackals aren’t as intimidating as tigers or leopards. In reality, even an adult tiger is helpless against a wolf pack.

And jackals roaming the plain might consider a lone lion as a huntable target.

Indeed, the invisible confrontation began the moment Fang Zheng intervened in the cosmic dark forest.

After the initial direct hit, the invaders immediately started analyzing the mysterious force’s goals, power, and intent. In fact, Iona had already sensed multiple information signals from different directions of the Milky Way—the invaders were trying to assess this mysterious fleet’s methods and potential follow-up actions.

Like the previous cube, if using super-light travel or hyper-space navigation, it would leave traces amidst cosmic information interference, just as any interstellar method requires fixed start and endpoints, like if one wants to climb a cliff, they must toss a hook up and then climb along the rope.

As long as they can detect the existence of a ”start” or ”end,” they can determine the fleet’s power specifics.

However, since Fang Zheng summoned the fleet directly from Another World, they hadn’t noticed this aspect, hence it’s clear these invaders perceived this sudden fleet as ”solitary.” Precisely for this reason, they attempted to use this opportunity to crush this sudden ”prey.”

Even if they fail, it doesn’t matter. Earth’s not their nest; if they fail, they can simply leave it to lick their wounds back home. But a success will mean tastier food far beyond feeble and moronic lamb.

Fang Zheng now uses this method to lure those baits as well.

He hopes Earth learns how to genuinely survive in the universe.

At least until sprouting horns, it’s merely a delectable ham, ripe for casual chewing.

Thus, three days have passed.

”Are there any results from the decryption work?”

The old man back in the office during downtime, fondly kept attention to the issue—though their country suffered little harm, circumstances weren’t satisfactory.

Due to a massive influx of refugees.

Originally, the world should have unfolded with ”America and its allies saving the world amidst alien invasion,” thus Japan and Korea were struck first, understandably collapsing without resistance. Furthermore, subsequent attacks forced Southeast Asia and Middle Eastern people to flock here.

Adding to the headache, initial refugees discovered this area was protected by a mysterious fleet shredding any daring alien warship mercilessly, making the news spread even wider, increasing the number of people using every means to rush into this protective zone to evade alien invaders.

Planes were mostly crippled, but ships, cars, trains remain usable, even other countries’ nuclear submarines once in the Far East rushed here seeking refuge.

For them, it was certainly a boon, albeit bringing extensive trouble; though these can be tolerated, the crux lies in......the fleet’s true plan?

Three days have passed, and aiming to crack the spherical enigma completely, not only have they gathered the country’s top scholars but also invited others seeking sanctuary here from abroad, plus foreign luminaries on business trips guessed miraculously spared, to join in. Upon realizing it’s a vital step for communicating with the mysterious fleet, everyone was thrilled, throwing themselves full-heartedly into the task.

But now.........

”When asked earlier, they said results will come soon.”

”Hmm, that’s good...”

Hearing the reply, the old man nodded and then sighed involuntarily.

Who knows whether this is a blessing or a curse.

At this moment, in the secure laboratory, ”decryption” is still underway.

”Over there is red, then green, and finally blue...”

”Wait, is there no problem over there?”

”But considering the next step...can even a small nation’s border be counted?”

Although the supercomputer had given an answer, top scholars from various countries were still engaged in heated discussions here. After all, this silver-white sphere might be humanity’s only straw of salvation, and no one had informed them if there was only one chance for decryption.

Precisely because of this, the debate among the crowd was unending.

However, regardless of their debates, the old man reached out his finger again and gently tapped, quickly connecting another piece of the puzzle.

Now, only the last three pieces remain.

”Please, do not make a mistake.”

Glancing at the diagram next to him, the old man took a deep breath and extended his finger again. Although others were extremely nervous at this moment, they could do nothing. They had gathered manpower and the power of the supercomputer for maximum correction according to the four-color distribution diagram above. Logically, everything should be fine.

But what if there’s a mistake?

Even though this is the final result, they couldn’t help feeling uneasy. Under everyone’s watchful eyes, the old man filled the last blank with blue.

The next moment, the previously faintly glowing silver-white sphere went silent, hovering in mid-air as if it had been turned off.

”How could this be?!”

”Did we fail?”

”No, could it be our calculations were wrong?!”

Seeing this, everyone around was dumbfounded. However, before they could finish their words, as if to refute them, the silver-white sphere suddenly lit up and transformed into a large holographic Earth model, spinning continuously. Simultaneously, lines of text and information quickly emerged on the model.

Seeing this information, the crowd was initially stunned, then overjoyed.

”Is this... the intelligence on those aliens?!”

”Is it actually this kind of thing?”

To be honest, no one knew what information was hidden in this silver-white sphere, but now it seemed the situation was very clear.

”Immediately report this to the higher-ups; we have a way to counter those invaders!”

Indeed, humanity had been powerless against these invaders, not only because of the vast difference in strength but also because they knew nothing about these aliens. However, these aliens were different. Whether it was the massive warships from Independence Day, the tripod robots, or the blue-light aliens and even the octopus creatures coming from the east, they had thoroughly and meticulously monitored and investigated Earth. Precisely because of this, they joined forces in carving up this juicy piece of meat without worrying about any unexpected events.

But now, for the first time, both sides were finally on equal footing in this aspect.

”Phew...”

Meanwhile, Fang Zheng finally breathed a sigh of relief.

He had been a little worried before, but now it seems...everything is going smoothly. So next...

Just as if echoing Fang Zheng’s thoughts, suddenly, a massive cube appeared between the Earth-Moon orbit, and then an emotionless, mechanical voice abruptly surfaced.

”We are Borg, lower your shields and surrender. We will assimilate your biological and technological characteristics. Your people will serve us; resistance is futile.”

Well, you do know how to talk.

Hearing this, Fang Zheng grinned, revealing a sinister smile.

”Begin.”

”Yes, Commander, the jump engine is activated, ready to jump to the designated location.”

With Iona’s words, everything in front of them instantly turned into dazzling meteors, compressing the infinite distance to the extreme in the blink of an eye. Then the brilliant blue planet, along with the giant cubes and motherships surrounding it, appeared before Fang Zheng.

”Doomsday Weapon online.”

At this, Fang Zheng smiled slightly.

”All fleets, fire at will!”

Come on, let’s fight fiercely!
