Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

When the pure white fleet appeared on the battlefield, the one-sided situation finally started to change.

Light beams, like a torrent of flames, easily pierced through the shields of the giant warships, utterly shattering them mercilessly. As the giant warships fell, the small ships originally protected by the shields also lost their barriers. Although we did not know what was going on, upon receiving the intelligence, the military immediately made a decision!

Strike while the iron is hot!!

The reason we previously could not inflict damage on the Aliens was because the shields were too bugged. But now, with the shields gone, the Aliens are targets the military can eliminate!

Immediately, air, sea, and land anti-aircraft fire erupted together, quickly counterattacking the Aliens who were previously flaunting their power, effectively curbing the Aliens’ offensive for the moment.

”No matter how you look at it, it’s good to have a fight.”

Seeing the latest battle report, the General’s expression relaxed slightly compared to before, though only slightly. At least once the originally invincible enemies became killable, the situation had clearly changed.

”Now it seems that as long as we can crush those enormous Alien motherships, we still stand a chance.”

”That’s true, but......”

A consultant next to him sighed.

”We simply have no way to breach those enormous Alien motherships.”

”......”

Hearing the consultant’s sigh, the General remained silent for a moment and then furrowed his brow.

”Regardless....... have we established contact with those mysterious newcomers who appeared suddenly?”

”Report, no contact.”

Faced with the General’s inquiry, another soldier quickly responded from the operations command.

”We’ve sent signals in various ways to the opposing side, but there’s been no response. However, as our fighter jets approached them, they didn’t encounter any obstruction or attacks; they even took some photos, please take a look.”

One soldier said while quickly bringing up the photos taken by the front-line fighter jets. As he looked at the luxurious, dazzling warships and their enormous barrels in the photos, the General also furrowed his brow.

”Immediately pass on these intelligence reports to headquarters! Ask them about the next steps.”

”Yes!”

It was expected that when these intelligence reports reached the headquarters in the rear, they would trigger substantial shock and upheaval.

”Can the authenticity of the intelligence be confirmed?”

Furrowing his brow, looking at the intelligence before him, an elderly man lightly asked, and another person nodded.

”Yes, it can be confirmed.”

”How unexpected, first attacked by Aliens and then saved by Aliens? Sounds just like the bizarre movie plot my Grandson watches.”

Another elder removed his glasses and massaged his forehead.

”Ah, getting old, the world’s changes are happening too fast......”

”Who’s to say it’s not...... could we establish contact with the opposing side?”

Perhaps due to the imminent crisis of doom having been alleviated, several elderly figures who were seriously assessing the situation in the underground bunker now joked a bit.

”Report back from the front; there has been no response from the opposing side.”

”No response..... don’t know whether they’re friend or foe.”

”At least, they’ve attacked our enemies, should be considered friends of enemies, right? Since they haven’t attacked us, that makes them...... allies?”

Fang Zheng had no intent to engage in intimate interactions with his compatriots in this world. It would be good if this were the Free World, but ultimately this was just a pet-food world, so he planned to quietly finish consuming the dog food and then leave. He didn’t want to get too entangled with the forces here. Just like now, Fang Zheng commanded the fleet to encircle the entire East Asia, simultaneously constructing a steel Great Wall, keeping all enemies at bay.

For communication requests coming from this side, Fang Zheng had no intention to respond. After all, if both sides don’t establish contact, it’s easier to handle, but if they do, it gets a bit troublesome.

Besides, even here, the pet food is something Fang Zheng could consume at will.

Seeing this, some might ask, if Fang Zheng himself is not taking action, then how is he consuming the dog food?

Naturally, it was......

”Divine Fire Crystal loaded, target locked.”

”Fire!”

At Iona’s command, light beams condensed from burning flames were fired from the barrels, sweeping across the battlefield, causing Alien ships to ignite and explode, disappearing into the flames and vanishing without a trace.

”I really should nickname the Azure Fleet as the Burning Legion.”

Watching the battlefield, Fang Zheng put his hands on his hips and smiled helplessly. The reason things had turned out this way was quite simple: the Azure Fleet was Fang Zheng’s fleet, in other words, the Divine Envoy’s. As long as Fang Zheng gave a Divine Domain blessing, all warships under his command would acquire the Primordial Fire attribute during their attacks.

Put simply, like many armies blessed by deities, after activating the blessing aura, even their basic attacks carry Holy Light.

However, since Fang Zheng stacked the Primordial Fire, the Azure Fleet’s attack mode transformed into ”attack hits—Primordial Fire bursts—devouring and burning—turns to Firewood.”

From this perspective, the Azure Fleet burns more genuinely than the hypocritical Burning Legion.

At present, Fang Zheng has also roughly surveyed the global situation.

Perhaps because this is the Europe and America science fiction disaster movie world, most Alien infestations happen in Europe and America. Particularly, America and Europe are heavily hit zones, while other areas fare relatively well. Like East Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, they escaped initial strikes unscathed.

Conversely, NATO has been pummeled so hard it doesn’t recognize its own grandmother.

The most unfortunate are the Russians, perhaps due to Euro-American sci-fi disaster movies, which like to use Russians as scapegoats, the Russians have met with the same unwarranted disaster as Europe and America, being pummeled so severely, they couldn’t escape the onslaught in the air or on the ground.

If we were to grade the attack severity of this ”Alien Joint Invasion Legion,” Europe and America would be First Rank, Russians Second Rank, Afira Third Rank......

So it seems that third-world countries benefit a bit, at least they don’t perish so disastrously.

As for North America......

Fang Zheng glanced over moments ago; there’s basically no one left alive.

This is understandable, knowing that in the original Independence Day, Alien warships’ primary targets were major global cities. Hence, the countryside somewhat escaped disaster. But in this pet-food world, it’s a mixed urban model, so not only major cities turned to scorched earth by Alien warships, but small and medium cities couldn’t escape the calamity brought on by robot octopuses and blue beams, dying in horrendous fashion. Within a day, all of North America was entirely decimated.

What about Canada?

Uh...... who cares?

Nonetheless...... could this difficulty be called Nightmare IV?

Looking at the completely one-sided battle situation, Fang Zheng furrowed his brow. To the people of this world, it may seem like a nightmare. But for himself, isn’t this something he could easily wipe through? Can it truly be called Nightmare IV difficulty?

Or...... is it just the start?

Could there be other invaders?

As it turns out, Fang Zheng’s guess was correct.

America, Area 51.

This once most mysterious research area has now become a place of panic and fear. All external communications have been cut off, and the only news they can receive is bad. In fact, the last message they received was about an alien warship heading toward Area 51. Clearly, their next destination is here.

”We must leave immediately.”

The research director, with disheveled long hair, strode down the corridor, looking at the panicked people around him, feeling a mix of frustration inside. He wanted to leave, but where could he go?

”Director, what should we do next?”

”Director, say something!”

”What about the Air Force?”

”We’ve completely lost contact with them!”

”Is there no way for us to leave here?”

”Leave, leave here, but where can we go?! The Earth is doomed unless we escape from it. Otherwise, we have no chance of survival!”

Leave Earth?!

Hearing this, the director suddenly had a flash of inspiration and stopped in his tracks. Seeing him stop, the researchers surrounding him also halted, watching him anxiously. Under their gaze, the research director gritted his teeth and issued a command.

”Activate Project N-95.”

”N-95...”

Hearing the director’s words, the researchers were momentarily stunned, then their expressions changed dramatically.

”Director?! You want to activate that monolith?!”

That was Area 51’s biggest secret. In fact, Area 51 was established here because a mysterious monolith was discovered at this location. It was clearly a prehistoric artifact and constantly emitted signals to the sky. Area 51 was initially founded to study this monolith.

However, after all these years, their research progress on the monolith has been unsatisfactory. The only thing known is that the monolith seems to be capable of opening a passage connecting to Mars, though this is just speculation. Up until now, due to various reasons, a direct experiment has not been conducted.

And now, based on the director’s plan......

”Are we going to activate the monolith and escape to Mars?”

”It’s the only solution.”

”But......”

”Just do it!”

”Yes!!”

Following the director’s order, the researchers had no other option but to try. Since the existence of aliens has been confirmed, perhaps the monolith is indeed a gateway to other planets. If they could open this gateway and travel to other planets, then......maybe there’s still hope for them!

It might be a desperate measure, but it’s still a measure.

Moreover, nobody knows what lies on the other side.

Who knows, it might be a heavenly world, right?

This possibility exists too!

Moreover, they have no choice left.

Soon, everyone arrived at the base of Project N-95, located at the very bottom of Area 51. Here, there was a large circular hollow, and in the middle stood three smooth black stone slabs with no inscription. According to the researchers’ ongoing successful study, these three stone slabs should combine to form some kind of teleportation device, capable of opening a teleportation gate.

However, due to the uncertainty about what might happen, they have not attempted it.

But now, obviously, they couldn’t afford to worry about that.

”Activate the energy supply, initiate startup.”

”Yes!”

Following the director’s command, a researcher quickly pulled down the lever. They soon saw flashing electric lights gradually appearing, and then the three monoliths began to tremble slightly. Next, a strange pattern emerged on the ground between them.

It was a bright red pentagram encased in a circle.

”Gurgle———!”

However, before everyone could clearly see, a black liquid-like substance suddenly spurted out from the pentagram, transforming into an oval-shaped thing that looked like a teleportation gate.

”Mass is stable.”

”No abnormalities.”

”Understood.”

Hearing the reports, the director nodded and gestured to a soldier in a hazmat suit. They certainly weren’t foolish enough to rush in blindly, so sending someone to scout ahead was standard procedure, and it also served to ascertain whether there was breathable air or other conditions on the other side.

Soon, they saw the soldier, accompanied by a researcher, walking towards that strange, viscous black circle, then stepping into it.

No, to be precise, it was more like they were swallowed by the thing.

”............”

Time passed by second by second.

Yet, there was no reaction at all.

”Director, what should we do now?”

Seeing this, others couldn’t help but panic. However, at this moment, the strange teleportation gate suddenly twisted, and then a dark shadow flew out from it abruptly, hitting the opposite wall with a loud ”bang”. Seeing this, the researchers were shocked, and when they focused their gaze, they were dumbfounded.

What flew out was none other than the upper half of the soldier who had gone in earlier. His body had completely disappeared from the waist down, leaving only a spine and scattered internal organs!

What is going on?!?

Just as everyone was in shock and doubt, suddenly, the pitch-black teleportation gate expanded to double its size, and then a massive figure emerged from it!

It was a towering creature with a robust body, blood-red skin, and horn-like protrusions on its head. It strode out of the teleportation gate, looking at the crowd before it, and let out a furious roar.

”What, what is that?!”

”Close, quickly close the teleportation gate!!”

The screaming researchers attempted to shut off the power, but it was too late.

In the next instant, like a horde of Hell Demons, creatures swarmed out, turning everything in sight into a sea of blood.
