Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1561: Chapter 1559: I’ve Truly Become the Villain!

Fang Zheng had no idea about the impact of his cards appearing in another world, and honestly, he didn’t want to know.

So where is he now?

Of course, in the new world!

Players who obtain the cards automatically understand how to play them. Fang Zheng didn’t want to stay in the Heavenly Dao Palace, constantly getting asked why these cards appeared — that would be the better case, but if Little Hei came asking why he had eaten Fate, he wouldn’t be able to explain it even with a hundred mouths!

But as the saying goes, there are gains and losses. Although Fang Zheng was tricked by the system once again, after becoming the God of Games, he finally received a supplement of divine power from the Game World as he wished, and purely in terms of quantity, the divine power from the God of Games’ divine position gave more than that of the God of Magical Girls.

After all, magical girls are a rare profession, whereas games can be played by everyone anywhere, the base is just different. Although the quality of divine power absorbed by the God of Magical Girls is higher, in terms of quantity, it can’t compare to that of the God of Games.

However, this couldn’t soothe Fang Zheng’s wounded heart!

What’s the best thing for a man to do when he wants to escape reality? Work like crazy, of course!

Right after solving the troubles of the Type Moon World, the space station, star gate, and base of the Digital Pixie World were completed, so Fang Zheng decisively ran off to the second Order Coordinate point, using the same method as when he entered Katori’s world, opened a teleportation gate to enter the second coordinate world.

Compared to Katori’s world, this world wasn’t much better either. The moment Fang Zheng entered, he saw a city submerged in the ocean and a wasteland.

Well, no need to say, the world’s destroyed again.

Standard procedure, please be seated.

But this time, unlike in Katori’s world where he was clueless, Fang Zheng turned his head and saw, looking down from the mountain, on the other side of this water-submerged wasteland was a rather modern-looking city. And... Fang Zheng was quite familiar with this city.

Tokyo-3.

Alright, Fang Zheng didn’t even need to question where he was, he had grown up watching this show. If he didn’t understand the situation of this world, then he’d really be dumb.

New World Evangelion.

There’s not much need to discuss the anime’s content, on the surface, it appears as humans making contact with Angels, causing the Second Impact that almost destroyed the world. Humanity barely survived, and then one Angel after another attacked humanity, and in order to counter the Angels’ assault, humans deployed robots named ”General-Purpose Humanoid Weapon” called EVA to battle them.

Seems like a very orthodox robot battle story.

Of course, adding in secretive religious views and various unusually named terms, instantly the grandeur skyrockets.

If not, who would watch an EVA that needs a power cord and can only last fifteen minutes otherwise?

The truth is, in the year 2000, humans found the First Apostle Adam sealed with the Longinus Lance in Antarctica and foolishly removed the seal causing the Second Impact to happen — well, it’s basically common setting that all research exploration teams in disaster movies are idiots, seeing something sealed makes them itch to touch and see what happens when they remove it, which is an eternal starting plot in various animation games and movies.

In the real world, if you don’t know what it is and go do something to remove it, you’re lucky if you’re not immediately deemed a potential anti-social anomaly and shot on the spot.

After this, the Angels awakened one by one, carrying out a sacrificial mission to rescue Lilith who was detained by humans under Tokyo-3... but the final ending turned out just like the Gourd Kids story, they were all wiped out.

No pangolin was helping them this time.

To put it bluntly, all of the world’s disasters from start to finish were self-inflicted by humans, you can’t even find something that says ”It’s not my fault, it’s Shichen’s fault.”

Because it is your fault!

After knowing the storyline of this world, Fang Zheng knew what to do.

From the previous observation of Aluco in Katori’s world, the coordinates left by the Goddess of Order in this world are very likely to be that Second Apostle Lilith sealed underneath NERV, because according to the EVA setting, Adam and Lilith are the origin of all life on Earth. In Katori’s world, it was also Aluco as the Star God who liberated humans from the form of chaotic beasts and transformed them into humans.

Moreover, Aluco had the protection of the Three Terrestrial Gods, who, in order to protect Aluco, attempted to destroy humanity, only to be defeated by humans in return. In this world too, the Angels ventured to Tokyo-3 for Lilith, only to be defeated by the EVAs. If things continue this way, the ending of this world might be even worse than Aluco’s side.

After all, on that side, at least at the last moment, there was a floating island rising, preserving some civilization.

Whereas here... with the conclusion of the Human Instrumentality Plan, all would die.

Oh, and there’s that suicidal Human Instrumentality Plan.

Fang Zheng never liked the Human Instrumentality Plan; he sees it as a ridiculously stupid and idiotic move. The idea that human alienation is the root of all tragedies and destruction, and to end it all by completing each other’s souls and returning to unity, isn’t this just the advanced version of what that dumb young lady said in the Lelouch world about needing mutual understanding or something?

In simple terms, the whole Human Instrumentality Plan boils down to this — humans are distinct because they ate the fruit of wisdom, which is a poisonous fruit. Wisdom separates humans from other species, creating distance and contradictions. Wisdom will only drive humans further away from mastering the Truth, ultimately leading to Judgment and destruction. Therefore, humans must abandon wisdom, reintegrate with everything else, and return to the Origin.

In short, removing all that unnecessary stuff boils down to one thing.

Extreme anti-intellectualism.

Fang Zheng sums it all up in one sentence — fuck that, what a load of crap.

If the Forerunners and Pioneers types of space races heard this, they’d probably die laughing.

Fang Zheng’s mission upon arriving in this world was already decided, there are naturally two objectives.

First — to protect humanity from complete extinction.

The second, then, is... to stop the Human Instrumentality Plan.

There are three reasons why Fang Zheng chose to stop the Human Instrumentality Plan.

First, as mentioned above, Fang Zheng finds the plan really stupid.

Second, this is Fang Zheng’s duty. Human Instrumentality means that humans would completely merge into one, causing the current order to completely disappear and collapse. Of course, this might create a new order, but for now, the destruction of the current order and the world-level annihilation would only cause a complete collapse of the second coordinate point, which is absolutely unacceptable to Fang Zheng.

The last reason, was a thought Fang Zheng had while watching the animation.

That is — why the hell?

That’s right, just like those idiot magicians in the Type Moon World who crave the Holy Grail to save the world, most people in this world have no clue about the Human Instrumentality Project. From beginning to end, the entire project is just a bunch of fools, led by the Human Instrumentality Committee, who think they have grasped the truth and are just indulging in their own fantasy.

Other people have no idea what the Human Instrumentality Project is.

This is just hilarious.

If you say this is the result of a global human vote, Fang Zheng wouldn’t care and let them be, as the saying goes, ”Heavenly sins can still be lived, but self-inflicted sins can’t be escaped.” It’s like how magicians pursue the Origin, even though the process may harm humanity itself, they know what their goal is and each magician is aware of it. So whatever cause and effect, they bear it themselves without complaint, since in their view, everything is the price to pay for pursuing it, whether right or wrong, at least they are mentally prepared.

But the problem is, this so-called ”Human Instrumentality Project” is just a figment concocted by a few people who’ve had one too many drinks and filled in the gaps with some mystical religious stories, and now you’re dragging the whole world to die with you? People are just living their own lives, and suddenly they’re completed without a choice?

You’re even worse than those magicians chasing the Origin; at least they only risk themselves and a few others in their pursuit of truth.

Now you’re planning to take down the whole world.

Let’s see if I, Laozi, can’t kill you!

What Fang Zheng despises the most are these hypocrites who preach one thing and do another. In the Type Moon World, when he confronted the magicians, he did it openly and declared why he wanted to overthrow the current magic world, eliminate Magic Crests, and explained his reasons to both allies and enemies, regardless of whether they agreed or not, at least he stated it clearly.

And here? Most people, including the upper echelons of governments, simply thought SEELE and NERV are just battle organizations against the Angels, without suspecting these two are conspiring in dark rooms to destroy humanity.

If you release this news, do you believe NERV would be demolished the very next day?

Oh, and it did get demolished in the movie version.

Besides, SEELE was never a legitimate institution, it was originally a Hydra-like organization, only daring to hide in the shadows. It wasn’t until the Second Impact that the world changed drastically, allowing these people to crawl out, start infiltrating and controlling the politics and economy of other nations, and eventually use their power to manipulate the United Nations to create the Human Instrumentality Committee and the United Nations Armed Organization NERV.

So from the perspective of governments and the public, SEELE, the Human Instrumentality Committee, and NERV are the antagonists secretly trying to destroy the world.

All this talk of the Human Instrumentality Project, the barriers between hearts, and the tragedies that follow, spare us the nonsense; all you’re aiming for is human annihilation!

Now that I’m here, Fang Zheng knows exactly what needs to be done.

As for how to do it......

”Come out, Ratziel.”

Fang Zheng extended his hand, and soon, the omniscient and omnipotent Angel appeared in his palm. Then, he took up the quill and wrote a few strokes on it before nodding in satisfaction.

”Hmm, this will do...... next......”

Looking at his record in ”Ratziel,” Fang Zheng’s mouth curled upward slightly.

Let us begin.

”......”

Sitting in the command room, Gendo Ikari was quite displeased internally; however, he didn’t let his emotions show. Instead, he intertwined his fingers, adopting his trademark pose to rest his chin on, staring at Fang Zheng in front of him.

”You’re SEELE’s special commissioner?”

”That’s right, pleased to meet you, Commander Gendo Ikari. I am SEELE’s special commissioner, Fang Zheng. The details should be in the documents SEELE sent to you.”

Indeed, right now, just like he did in the World of Lelouch, Fang Zheng used ”Ratziel” to create a brand new identity for himself — and that’s as SEELE’s Special Commissioner!

”My main task is to observe and educate the pilots, which is also an order from SEELE’s superiors, so please support my work.”

Saying this, Fang Zheng smiled lightly again while looking at the expressionless Gendo Ikari in front of him.

How does it feel, you bastard?

Just as Fang Zheng thought, Gendo Ikari was now fuming with anger inside.

The so-called ”observation and education” is, of course, a pretense, but Gendo Ikari did not doubt the authenticity of the order. In fact, he saw it as SEELE’s attempt to control NERV — after all, NERV controls the EVA, but the EVA requires pilots, so SEELE is targeting the root.

If I control the pilots, dare you, NERV, not heed me?

This infuriated Gendo Ikari to death, but he could do nothing about it.

Unless he wishes to break ties with SEELE, he can’t chase Fang Zheng away!

Gendo Ikari was certain that if he expelled or killed Fang Zheng now, he would be kicked out of his commander position in NERV.

He only had himself to blame for not considering assigning a guardian to the pilots... and SEELE exploited this opportunity.

This is the advantage of knowing the background and plot.

Though in the original work, SEELE and the Human Instrumentality Committee never interfered with NERV internally, only assigning Kaji Ryoji for a few symbolic spy missions. However, it was basic protocol to send someone in, thus Fang Zheng’s ”setting” was reasonable, and SEELE thought such an order was warranted, and Gendo Ikari had no reason to doubt his origins.

Of course, neither side knew that this so-called ”special commissioner” was merely Fang Zheng’s ”surface setting.”

”Understood, I will inform the First Compatible.”

Finally, for the sake of his ”grand” ideals, Gendo Ikari could only lower his head in ”endurance.”

”Then, I’ll leave it to you, Commander Gendo Ikari.”

Looking at Gendo Ikari before him, Fang Zheng’s smile grew even more enthusiastic.

This is just the beginning, wait and see.

If I don’t finish you off, I’ll write my name backward.
