Chapter 1552: Chapter 1550: Our Goal Is the Sea of Stars

The metal warship emerged from the clouds and slowly descended. Witnessing this scene, everyone was astounded. Even Lainis was surprised, her eyes wide and her mouth agape.

The scene before them was simply too overwhelming.

A metal warship as large as a mountain descended from the sky. Just the visual effect alone was enough to make one tremble. Nothing could more clearly underscore the insignificance of a human being.

”This is......”

Even Marisbury’s voice had become much hoarser at this moment.

”This is the warship of our World Tree of a Thousand Realms. Alright, please follow me.”

At this moment, the metal warship had already stopped at the edge of the cliff. Then the hatch opened, and a staircase formed by light panels appeared instantly, stretching all the way to the feet of the crowd. Fang Zheng made a welcoming gesture, then turned and walked up the stairs. Marisbury hesitated for a moment before slowly walking up as well.

As for Lainis and Olga Marie, they were both frozen like wooden dolls.

Entering the warship and arriving in the control room, through the large glass screen, everyone could clearly see the scenery outside. Then, Fang Zheng snapped his fingers, and the warship began to slowly ascend. Everyone just watched the outside, watched as the world outside became smaller and smaller, as they flew out of the clouds, then........

”......Where are we now?”

Staring at the blue planet before her, Lainis murmured, although she wasn’t ignorant of Earth’s common knowledge, it seemed irrelevant to her all this time. But now, witnessing and seeing this planet so vividly before her, the shock and the complex feelings were indescribable.

”We are currently in a far Earth orbit. If you wish, I can take you to see the Moon and the Sun.”

Compared to Lainis, Marisbury and Olga Marie were even more shocked. The celestial studies, as the name suggests, were what the Animusphere lineage researched generation after generation. In the Magecraft of their family, the earth representing the essence of magic power was naturally a part of it.

But this was vastly different from witnessing their ”Earth” with their own eyes.

This feeling......

”.......What do you want us to do, Miss Red Ponytail?”

Marisbury gripped his cane. In fact, at the moment he saw the blue planet, he almost wanted to kneel down. It was a sentiment only the Animusphere family members could understand, entirely born from their endless pursuit and guidance by the stars over the years.

”Human development cannot exist solely on Earth. It is detrimental to human survival and reproduction. Moreover, just a small asteroid is enough to destroy the entire world.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng made a gesture, and the screen flashed. An asteroid was seen slowly flying through space and then spinning into Earth’s atmosphere. In the next moment, everyone saw a sudden flash of Radiance on Earth, followed by dense clouds enveloping the entire planet, turning it into a scene of hell.

”See, just like that, as long as an asteroid goes off track, the whole Earth is doomed.”

Saying this, Fang Zheng turned his head to look at Marisbury.

”Mr. Marisbury, can magicians solve this problem?”

”.........”

Marisbury did not answer, nor did he need to. Magicians simply do not possess such power. Perhaps, only a Mage could achieve that.

”The more people on Earth, the greater the pressure on Earth itself. Gaia will not just watch humans destroy itself. Therefore, humanity must venture into space, heading for the universe.”

At this point, Fang Zheng once again looked at Marisbury.

”Our goal is not the Origin; it is the sea of stars. In this process, researching planets and celestial bodies is essential. Therefore, we value the knowledge and power of celestial studies.”

Fang Zheng was not lying about that. Every world has different rules, like in other worlds, could you imagine Earth having its own consciousness, fearing humans causing trouble and actively calling upon its stellar cousins to annihilate humanity? Such a thing seems like a fairy tale in the world of Ironblood Warriors.

But here, you can indeed witness it.

It’s imaginable that this world is certainly not the only one with a Gaia; other planets also have their own planetary consciousness. It will take some time for humanity to accept these realities, but at least, by using magecraft, it’s possible to observe and detect these planets.

”............”

Marisbury remained silent, while Fang Zheng lightly threw out his trump card.

”If Animusphere agrees, we can make an exception and let the Animusphere clan share the space station with us, and they can also reside there permanently.”

Building a space station was an idea Fang Zheng had long considered. The World Tree of a Thousand Realms needed a headquarters, and placing it on the ground would still be insecure, but in space, it would be much safer... Can your Mage’s Association reach into space?

Ha, a bunch of ignoramuses who might not even know which way a spaceship flies.

Of course, the space station Fang Zheng planned was not like the current international space stations, but a truly functional space living facility. This wasn’t difficult for him—after all, the outer space migration ship technology in the world of Lelouch was relatively mature, so Fang Zheng arranging for them to build a small one was no problem at all.

Fang Zheng had already placed the order and was just waiting for it to be built and set up.

Fang Zheng wasn’t worried about any exposure; the migration ships of the Chinese Federation had built-in anti-detection features—which is normal since migration ships are meant for long-distance travel and migration. Without some stealth tech, they’d be a big target for anyone malicious.

With the current level of Earth’s technology, even if a migration ship was right under their noses, they might not see it.

Of course, Fang Zheng wasn’t just constructing a migration ship for Animusphere and the World Tree of a Thousand Realms. This was also just the beginning.

Magecraft had to be secretive before because without secrecy, a magician’s trickery would fail. But new spells don’t care about secrecy. Instead, the study and use of this magic can be made public. Fang Zheng had already colluded with the leaders of East Asia, explained what he intended to do, and stated his intent to disclose the magic thereafter.

In this context, it’s essentially redefining human civilization from scratch, requiring a reconsideration of many things. Therefore, once the migration ship is ready, not only will the World Tree of a Thousand Realms and the Animusphere family migrate, but also some government officials and researchers.

By then, the migration ship will become a microcosm of cooperation between magic and technology, harnessing the strength of both sides to see the effects.

Of course, it will primarily be the territory of the World Tree of a Thousand Realms, but it will also need the participation of ”old school magicians” from the realm of Type Moon. In this regard, Animusphere is a relatively good choice.

But if necessary, El-Melloi can also be included.

Fang Zheng didn’t hide any of this but instead showed them his vision and the plans of the World Tree of a Thousand Realms through a screen, leaving the three deeply shocked. Although they anticipated that the World Tree of a Thousand Realms would want to change the world, they didn’t expect them to have such a clear plan and strategy already—and to possess the power to carry it out.

Looking at the Earth, the warship they were on, and the plan on the screen, everyone felt a sense of helplessness. It was the helplessness of a magician, finally understanding why the World Tree of a Thousand Realms dared to confront the Mage’s Association head-on. Many magical families were speculating about this, some thinking the World Tree of a Thousand Realms had gone insane, others believing they possessed some trump card.

But even so, they never imagined that the World Tree of a Thousand Realms and the Mage’s Association are no longer on the same level.

For the World Tree of a Thousand Realms, the Mage’s Association is merely as insignificant as a tiny... insect on Earth, perhaps not even worthy of attention unless they’re blocking the path.

Thinking of this, Lainis looked at the screen with a complex expression. Just now, Fang Zheng had demonstrated how easy it would be to obliterate the Clock Tower if he just fired a shot from here.

Does the Clock Tower have a means to counter attacks from outside the atmosphere?

Lainis considered herself very familiar with the Clock Tower, always seeing it as a terrifying and powerful entity, with the Twelve Lords at its pinnacle being the rulers of this world. Yet now, standing in space, looking at that tiny black dot, Lainis suddenly wanted to laugh.

A mocking laugh, a ridiculing laugh, a laughter of derision.

The thing that once seemed more terrifying than anything else now looked no bigger than a dot. So what were the Twelve Lords ruling over that dot? What was the House of El-Melloi? Laughable that they once thought the world revolved around them, not realizing those high above in the sky didn’t even bother to glance their way.

”I understand.”

Just then, Marisbury’s voice came to Lainis’ ears.

”Animusphere is willing to join the World Tree of a Thousand Realms.”

Hearing this, Lainis didn’t hesitate any longer.

”We, El-Melloi, are also willing to join.”
