Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1559: Chapter 1557: Mission Accomplished (My Nose Hurts So Much...)

Shortly thereafter, every TV station worldwide suddenly broadcast a ”special program” that seemed odd to many at exactly the same moment.

The program lasted for three hours, showing scenes that left the audience scratching their heads. It was set in a courtroom-like place, where a group of people faced trial. The process itself was mundane, even a bit dull. A group of people stood trial, accused of bizarre, incomprehensible things.

Of course, among them were some individuals alleged to be connected to mysterious disappearances and accidental deaths linked to local legends, but beyond that, there was nothing particularly noteworthy. The final sentence didn’t meet the audience’s expectations either, consisting mostly of bizarre statements like ”mandatory erasure of Magic Crests” that most people couldn’t understand, and only a few referred to as magicians received death sentences or prison time.

Finally, an old man stepped forward and publicly admitted that the age of magicians was over.

Honestly, this ”three-hour special relaxation program” was completely bewildering to most people; not only were the names of the individuals involved entirely unfamiliar, but the reason for the trial was also shrouded in mystery.

Many speculated it might be some sort of film, since at the beginning of the ”program,” there was a combat scene reminiscent of a movie: a group of girls engaged in a relentless assault on a woman, with all sorts of mysterious magecraft, creating a blockbuster-like feel.

But if it really was a movie, this three-hour film was just too much! Would anyone really watch it?

And what on earth is the Mage’s Association, and what is the World Tree of a Thousand Realms? What does the Clock Tower do? And what happened to that woman named Barthomeloi?

If this is a movie, you ought to at least give us an explanation. Apart from the somewhat intriguing battle scene at the start, the rest of the film was a total waste of time in court. Who would watch this stuff? The viewership ratings must be unbearably low.

What’s even more frustrating is that every channel aired the same program, making switching channels pointless. In fact, it wasn’t just the TV stations; even the radios broadcasted the same content across all channels simultaneously, so whether you turned on the TV or the radio, you’d hear the same thing.

As a result, many people called the TV stations to complain, and the stations themselves were clueless about what was going on.

Interpol soon issued a statement, claiming a hacker organization intentionally hijacked global signals to insert this meaningless ”movie,” thus holding the whole world hostage. Such a malicious act must be brought to justice as the new era of information security faces challenges, and so on.......

Following the statement, aside from a few skeptical professionals, most common folk accepted the situation—well, haven’t similar scenarios appeared in sci-fi films?

Since these ”weird” movie scenes didn’t cause any real damage, most people quickly put it out of their minds.

No one knew that the world was already beginning to change.

Demon Capital, outskirts.

”How much longer do we have to wait?”

Standing in the desolate wilderness, Professor Li breathed in the chilly air, which made him cough, then he turned to look at the guard beside him, who merely glanced at him without speaking.

”Alright, alright, Old Li, everyone is here, waiting here for a bit won’t do any harm.”

”I just find it weird.”

Facing the reassurance from a colleague, Professor Li couldn’t help but grumble.

”We’re aerospace specialists, so why were we summoned to Demon Capital? And......why are there foreigners?”

Speaking as he glanced over a short distance away, he saw two young girls with silver-white and golden hair standing there; they looked about eleven or twelve years old, about the same age as his granddaughter.

Naturally, while it’s uncommon, foreign experts occasionally participate in national projects. But those girls were so young, they hardly seemed suited for such endeavors.

”Alright, don’t ask what’s unnecessary, don’t inquire about what’s off-limits, forgotten the organizational discipline?”

”......”

Upon hearing this, Professor Li shut his mouth. He knew about the secrecy protocols, but the current situation was just too strange. Those girls and their associates didn’t seem like typical students, employees, or family members; there was an indescribable sense about them.

Soon, Professor Li and the others saw a car approaching and stopping at a distance before a girl with red twin-tails stepped out. She first greeted the small group of girls over there, then proceeded to walk towards them.

”Hmm?”

Seeing this, Professor Li was somewhat surprised; he initially thought the girl was one of the peculiar group of girls, but now it seemed......

Before Professor Li could think further, the red twin-tail girl had already walked up to their team leader and started chatting.

”Everyone’s here?”

”Yes, Miss Red Ponytail.”

”No issues, right? You know, once we’re up there, it’s not just ten days or half a month, it might be three to five years without contact with family, any serious problems?”

”Of course, don’t worry, they all understand clearly.”

”Alright... I was just asking to be sure.”

After speaking, Professor Li saw Miss Red Ponytail turn her head to look at them and nodded.

”Alright, since everyone is here, let’s set off.”

Saying this, Miss Red Ponytail snapped her fingers.

What happened next was beyond Professor Li’s imagination.

In the night sky not far from them, where there had been nothing before, a massive metal warship suddenly appeared out of thin air. The metal warship descended slowly, landing almost silently on the ground.

”This... this is...”

Seeing this scene, Professor Li and his colleagues were all stunned. They weren’t fools; from the previous scene, it was clear that this metal warship had always been here, just in an invisible state. What terrified them was that they hadn’t noticed the slightest anomaly!

Were they just standing foolishly under someone’s nose without knowing it?

Moreover... what exactly is this? Is it... a warship?

As a scientist, an expert in the aerospace industry, Professor Li was reluctant to casually use terms without proper context. Science fiction might be fine, but science itself is rigorous. Upon seeing anything, one cannot immediately judge; research and investigation must be done first.

However, for this thing here, besides being a space battleship... there seems to be no better term for it.

”Alright, everyone please board the ship. By the way, don’t roam around the ship casually, or you might be kicked out.”

Helena can roam freely because she’s a girl and a Heroic Spirit, but if any men wander around, they might just get kicked out by a Fleet Girl.

Olga Marie and Lainis had been on the battleship before, so they weren’t too surprised. They quickly composed themselves and went inside. Others also snapped out of their shock and followed them onto the battleship. Soon, the battleship became invisible again and ascended into the sky.

”Wait, where are we going exactly?”

Ever since boarding the battleship, Professor Li had been bewildered until he saw the battleship leave Earth, and he suddenly snapped back to reality.

Are we going to space?

Does this world really have aliens?

But alas, the battleship didn’t head to some mysterious alien location; instead, it circled around and arrived at the far side of the moon... where a surprising scene awaited them.

In the moon’s orbit, something that looked like a shell was quietly floating in space, and in the middle of the ”shell” was a huge city enveloped by a shimmering barrier!

Yes, this was the Macross7 ordered by Fang Zheng in Lelouch’s world from the Chinese Federation!

Though he decided to help enhance the technological civilization level of the Type Moon world, Fang Zheng didn’t plan to use the technology of Heavenly Dao Palace—Heavenly Dao Palace is already a solid Second Rank civilization, way beyond the Type Moon world’s reach. To put it bluntly, even if it were given to them, they wouldn’t be able to grasp it. They might not digest it before it becomes indigestible.

But the world of Lelouch was different. Though they also had a sci-fi future world, their technological level was lower.

And anyway—at least it’s the Chinese Federation; helping out their own family is no problem, right?

Certainly not giving it to those North American airheads.

Although the warship and mecha technology in Lelouch’s world were not as advanced as Heavenly Dao Palace’s, for this world’s technological level, it was already quite digestible.

The systems might be different, but the civilizations themselves are similar, making mutual understanding much easier.

For Fang Zheng, after sending these two to the fortress, his mission was considered complete, and the rest was up to Fiore and the others to handle.

As for Fang Zheng...

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng opened the system and saw the four sparkling words.

[Task Completed!]
