Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1027: Chapter 1026: Our Goal Is the Starry Sea!

”Everything is ready, Captain, the Azure Fleet is standing by.”

”Hmm...”

Upon hearing the report from Iona, Fang Zheng nodded while seated in the captain’s chair, staring at the screen in front of him, silent and contemplative.

Although this instance was set up by the system itself and Fang Zheng had no choice but to go, he was still apprehensive. The reason was simple—this instance does not prohibit Black Katie!

It doesn’t prohibit Black Katie!

Upon reading the task information and realizing this, Fang Zheng broke out in a cold sweat.

Generally speaking, Fang Zheng has viewed the prohibition or allowance of Black Katie as the ceiling for instance difficulty. And the practice has been consistent; in previous instance worlds, there have always been various reasons and excuses to ban Black Katie from entering. The reason is straightforward, Black Katie is one of the Three Pillars, the Grand Priestess of the God of Creation, her power is at least above demigod.

To put it simply, in the previous worlds Fang Zheng experienced, the final BOSS, if substituted with Black Katie, could be sent back home directly with a single Flame of Existence, without even needing to fight.

But this time, the instance doesn’t ban Black Katie!

What kind of bizarre instance is this? Could there be something stronger than Black Katie in this scenario? Could it be a True God?

But deities and the vast cosmos... that’s a bit far-fetched, isn’t it?

Fang Zheng retrieved a few sci-fi films from his mind to compare, but he couldn’t think of any Sci-Fi World that would require Black Katie to act. Star Wars... even Primordial Force couldn’t withstand the Power of Existence, and Avatar needn’t be mentioned; that broken tree wouldn’t last three minutes as fuel, so what’s left? Could it be a world from sci-fi games?

If it’s a game, it would make sense, but... it better not be Interstellar Confrontation!

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng shuddered; if it’s Interstellar Confrontation, not banning Black Katie would be understandable, Amon is not someone to mess with.

God, if he encounters Kerrigan, how should he explain this to her?

”Captain?”

While Fang Zheng was musing, Iona’s voice sounded again. Upon hearing Iona’s call, Fang Zheng snapped back to reality and nodded towards Iona.

”Got it, notify everyone to get ready... departing in five minutes!”

This time, because the system did not ban Black Katie, Fang Zheng prepared as if facing a formidable foe; he brought almost all the combat strength from Heavenly Dao Palace. Besides Iona-led, Elizabeth-centric Azure Fleet, there were over a thousand coordinators forming a special combat unit, plus servants Atalanta, Illya, and Little Hei, along with spirits Kurumi and Yuki, as well as Tilia, Black Katie, and Nymph.

Of course, Fang Zheng didn’t forget to bring along Yui and...

”Are we about to head to a new world, Mr. Fang Zheng?”

”That’s right, you better return to your seats and prepare.”

Gazing at Eiriri who poked her head out from beside him, Fang Zheng tapped her on the forehead lightly. This time, Asuna, Eiriri, and Black Cat also went with Fang Zheng to the new world. Naturally, this was due to the Hard Light Armor being quite complete, otherwise, Fang Zheng wouldn’t dare let them venture here.

Watching the three settle obediently onto their chairs, Fang Zheng finally reached out his hand to activate the Dimensional Codex. Subsequently, he lightly pointed forward with his finger, and, in no time, the originally azure sky ahead began to warp, forming a massive black hole.

”Whoa...”

Witnessing this spectacle, Black Cat couldn’t help but express awe, while Eiriri and Asuna clutched the armrests of their chairs excitedly.

”Heavenly Dao Palace, all members of the Azure Fleet pay attention... set sail!”

With Fang Zheng’s command, shortly thereafter, hundreds of warships roared forward, plunging into the black hole in front of them.

As they entered the dark teleportation void, Fang Zheng and others felt enveloped in darkness, followed by rapid flashes of lines within the pitch-black space ahead. Before long, as everyone regained their senses, the universe filled with shining starlight appeared before them.

”Recon team, release probes immediately, scan surroundings, everyone be ready for combat at any moment, report the situation!”

Fang Zheng hadn’t forgotten how, when he entered the world of Halo, he got bombarded by three Star Alliance Warships from the get-go, because of this, upon arriving in the new world, he issued orders right away, then stood up, walking to the front to gaze at the screen.

”Probes have been released...”

”Beginning data interconnection...”

Simultaneously, others swiftly got busy, while Eiriri and the others continued to sit in their chairs, eyes wide open, observing everything ahead with curiosity and some nervousness, unsure of what to say. After all, experiences like this they had only seen in game novels or movies before, never having thought they would experience it firsthand.

After some time, Iona reported to Fang Zheng once more.

”Nothing unusual in the star system, no signs of life detected.”

”Any traces of civilization?”

”None.”

”That’s a relief...”

Upon hearing Iona’s report, Fang Zheng breathed a sigh of relief; it seemed the system could be trusted, giving him a starting point to establish a base... then...

F2A?

Forget it, let’s build the base first.

”Notify Mirune, let the Zerg find a suitable planet to land on, begin occupying the entire planet, scouting team proceed to the interstellar edges to survey what’s going on in nearby star systems...”

Pausing here, Fang Zheng continued.

”Let the Swarm expand to the edges of the star system.”

”Yes, Captain.”

The expansion speed of the Swarm is far beyond any other race; it wasn’t long before Mirune led the Zerg army to occupy a star on the edge of this star system. The natural environment of this planet was extremely harsh, filled with toxic atmosphere, unfit for living beings. But for the Zerg, this was no issue.

The unleashed Swarm spread rapidly across the entire planet, like a wild horse, visible to the naked eye, and began dispersing outward. Shortly, neighboring planets were swiftly occupied by the Swarm as well.

”Indeed, times like these require the Zerg.”

Immersed in the information from the Swarm psychic network, Fang Zheng nodded with satisfaction. The Swarm’s exponential explosive growth model is its most powerful trump card, one splits into two, two into four, four splits into eight, as long as the map is large enough, without population limits, the Swarm can expand bases to an unbelievable extent.

Currently, on Fang Zheng’s system interface, the task completion percentage was gradually increasing, though still... less than one percent.

Looks like it’s futile to wantonly slack off.

Glaring at the progress bar moving slower than a snail, Fang Zheng frowned; he initially thought of exploiting the system’s loophole and letting the Swarm occupy those ownerless planets entirely. Now it seems this task is quite troublesome; the universe is infinitely vast, but how does the system calculate this percentage?

However, just when Fang Zheng was worrying about how to handle this, he suddenly perceived something unusual within the Swarm’s psychic network.

An unexpected visitor?
