Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1015: Chapter 1014: Come On, Let’s All Have Fun Together!

If Fang Zheng had to evaluate it, this would be the most awkward ”BOSS battle” he had ever seen.

According to logic, after the BOSS finishes the dialogue, both sides would clash, leading to an earth-shattering battle. However, this time... Fang Zheng wasn’t willing to do that.

Diablo’s power is too strong, taking down this group of twenty-five adventurers would be effortless for him. In fact, Fang Zheng could possibly wipe them out with just a gentle swipe. However, Fang Zheng’s target this time was the Cultist, not the twenty-five adventurers!

I’m just an NPC, why are you treating me like a BOSS to grind?

The Fang Zheng now is not the same as when he first arrived in this world. At that time, he opened his eyes, without even understanding the situation, and was being hunted down. Back then, Fang Zheng was in a daze and directly summoned Arthas to fight. Of course, it led to a bunch of troubles afterward, even though the few Paladins who died were later blamed on a Lich by the Myriad Deaths Society, the incident still affected Fang Zheng for a good while.

Now that he has an identity, status, and strength in this world, he naturally doesn’t want to do such things anymore.

Not being familiar with the higher-ups of this world, Fang Zheng couldn’t identify these people, but judging by their abilities, they were definitely strong individuals in their respective factions.

These aren’t those pitiable, unloved Paladins. If they die, they die, but if Fang Zheng accidentally kills one of them, the trouble would be insurmountable!

Not to mention, Fina is here too!

So Fang Zheng decided to learn from many BOSS characters in animations, acting ostentatious and refusing to make a move. If he could scare them, great. If not... then he would see afterward.

While Fang Zheng had his own plans, the others were also on high alert.

If these were rookies, at this point, they’d shout ”For justice” and charge to their deaths. But these seasoned warriors were different; despite coming from different forces and having different approaches, they were all prudent in acting after careful planning.

Which is as expected because those who rush in with hot heads are almost dead by now. Those who survive till now are old foxes, not easily trifled with.

Thus, they were also waiting for the Demon God in front of them to strike first before deciding how to respond. After all, these were strong individuals; they could feel the enormous power of the Demon God within Diablo, so much so that even they had never encountered such a terrifying enemy.

What on earth did those bastards at the Doomsday Church summon!

Thinking of this, the adventurers cursed internally.

And if the Doomsday Disciple lying at Fang Zheng’s feet had knowledge of this in the underworld, they would surely be in tears.

This isn’t my fault!

For a moment, the situation was at a stalemate.

Fang Zheng didn’t want to make a move, just posing over there, while the twenty-five adventurers waited cautiously for the opponent to strike first, to avoid any accidents.

So........

A minute passed.

Five minutes passed.

Ten minutes passed.

Half an hour passed.

Fang Zheng scratched his back, flicked his tail, and continued posing. Meanwhile, the faces of the twenty-five adventurers turned strange.

What... is going on here?

Is it going to fight or not?

Is this demon brain-damaged?

Compared to the adventurers’ frustration, Fang Zheng remained composed. He wasn’t afraid of losing face, after all, it would be Diablo losing face, not him. But persistently doing so wasn’t a solution either...

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng’s eyes darted around, then he seemed to have thought of something, glancing down at his feet.

Over there, the Cultist’s blood was slowly coagulating and flowing, while the faint purple flames hadn’t disappeared. Instead, Fang Zheng could feel some summoning power forming.

If that’s the case... Oh yes!

With this thought, Fang Zheng suddenly had a great idea and quickly put it into action.

And just then, the adventurers suddenly saw the demon move!

It raised its left hand high, pointing towards the sky, while its right hand was on its waist... Could it be, it wanted to attack?

Thinking of this, the adventurers instantly gripped their weapons tightly, staring at Diablo with vigilance, even Fina clutched her staff, swallowing nervously.

They watched as Diablo extended the index finger of its left hand towards the sky, right hand on its waist, feet apart.

Then........

Diablo’s legs started to jiggle, then its hands gradually stretched out from below, then above... and before the crowd could react, they saw the fearsome demon suddenly turn around, back to them, and jiggle again.

Is it... dancing?

While the crowd remained clueless, Diablo’s voice rang out again.

”I planted a seed, finally it grew into a fruit, today is a great day...”

”.......???”

Meow meow meow?

Woof woof woof?

Cluck cluck cluck?

Watching Diablo happily dance the square dance, the heroes were completely dumbfounded.

What’s this operation?

”I’ll pick stars for you, pick the moon for you, let the sun rise for you every day...”

.......

Even though they couldn’t understand what this demon was singing, it sounded... quite rhythmic?

”Turn into a candle burning myself just to light you up, give everything to you as long as you’re happy...”

Accompanying Diablo’s singing, a few among the adventurers couldn’t help but jiggle. Seeing this, the leading Paladin had a somber expression.

”What are you doing?”

”Sorry, sorry.”

Hearing the Paladin’s rebuke, those mercenaries who couldn’t control themselves just now came to their senses and hurriedly stopped.

However, Diablo’s singing did not cease because of this.

”You make every tomorrow meaningful for me... Hey! Life is short, but my love for you will never part!”

Singing to this point, the crowd suddenly saw the demon bow slightly, clapping vigorously at them.

”Come, let’s HIGH together! You are my little apple, no amount of love is too much...”

”.......Master, what do you think... What should we do?”

Watching Diablo completely let loose, starting square dances, the Paladin was also dumbfounded, at a loss for words. The Old Mage quietly observed for a moment, then shook his head.

”This isn’t some kind of ritual; it seems to be simply dancing...”

”A demon god who loves to dance?”

At this point, others were also troubled, but before they could say anything else, they saw Diablo glare at them suddenly, roaring once more.

”HIGH together!!”

”.......Is it asking us to dance together?”

The crowd exchanged glances, a moment later, the Old Mage was the first to raise his hand and swayed to the rhythm, and the others... quickly followed.

If this demon had started slaughtering the entire city upon its appearance, then they definitely wouldn’t be here watching it perform. But in reality, now they were pulled into its ”Demi-Plane” by this demon. Moreover, thus far, the only victims in its hands were the Cultists who summoned it...

These heroes, while willing to fight to protect innocent citizens, were now, facing such a powerful enemy, hoping to avoid a fight if possible...

After all, the strength of the Demon God exceeded their expectations. If a fight truly broke out, no one was sure who would survive.

After confirming that the terrifying demon before them wasn’t conducting any ritual but truly was dancing, the others decisively followed to dance along.

Maybe when the dance ends, they wouldn’t have to fight after all?
