Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1016: Chapter 1015: A Dancing Demon God?

None of them expected that once the dance started, they couldn’t stop.

They danced a round with Diablo, but soon, the latter started dancing again.

”Why not dance? Chatting is not as good as dancing, making yourself feel comfortable is everyone’s talent...”

Seeing the other side didn’t seem ready to fight, the twenty-five-legged men relaxed a lot. They’ve traveled far and wide, seeing all sorts of bizarre things. A dancing Demon God might be unimaginable for ordinary people, but for them, it’s nothing rare.

Someone even started to speculate that this Demon God killed those cultists possibly because they interrupted its dance during the summoning?

Fang Zheng had completely let himself go by now. While dancing to ”Little Apple”, he had quickly thought of how he planned to escape. Of course, the plan was somewhat shameless and embarrassing. But for Fang Zheng, what did shame matter as long as it wasn’t his own?

I want to make Diablo dance ”Jiangnan STYLE”, what can you do about it?

Not only that, Fang Zheng even thought of a good idea...

”Another song! I’ll rip my anus wide... rip anus wide!”

After three rounds of square dancing, most of the twenty-five-legged men relaxed, and a few lively ones even started to dance-off with Diablo. Of course, they only relaxed slightly, as the higher-ups like the Old Mage and the Paladin remained vigilant.

No one knew whether this might be some plot from the Demon God.

”Boom!!!”

But just when the dance was halfway through, suddenly with a roaring explosion, purple flames abruptly burst out, and then a creature entirely engulfed in fire strode out from the flames.

”It’s a Flame Demon!!”

Seeing the suddenly appearing creature before them, everyone was shocked. The few still dancing quickly tightened their grips on their weapons, nervously glaring at the creature.

”I smell the stench of mortals... you damn maggots! I will take your flesh and soul as compensation! Prepare to wail in destruction within Lord Sagans’ flames!!”

At this moment, the Flame Demon was incredibly angry, staring furiously at the twenty-five-legged group, almost driven insane with rage.

Little wonder the Flame Demon was so enraged, as one of the strongest Flame Demons in the Abyss, it was the summoning target of the Doomsday Church this time. In fact, until just now, the ritual was going very smoothly.

Until Fang Zheng suddenly appeared and swept away the group of cultists.

With the cultists serving as the ritual’s subjects cleared out by Fang Zheng, the summoning ritual naturally got interrupted. But for the summoned Flame Demon, this process was far from pleasant.

It was like a guest invited to a banquet, dressed up and ready, taking the elevator to the top floor for the event.

Then midway, the elevator lost power, and it had to climb out from the safety passage above to reach the banquet venue.

Imagine how infuriating this process would be for the Flame Demon.

”You vile creatures...”

Glaring fiercely at the twenty-five men, the Flame Demon was nearly beside itself with fury, wanting only to wreak havoc, no matter who the opponent was or where they were... this fury had to be vented...

However, before the Flame Demon could finish speaking, a massive hand suddenly stretched out from behind, seizing the Flame Demon’s neck. Before the Flame Demon could realize what happened, its vision blurred, and in the next moment, it was pressed firmly into the ground.

”Foolish bastard! How dare you interrupt my fun!”

Under Fang Zheng’s control, Diablo tightly pinned the Flame Demon to the ground, letting out angry roars. The limb behind it, resembling a spike, suddenly rose up and thrust forward, piercing directly into the Flame Demon’s body.

”Ahhhhhhh!!”

A howl of pain piercing to the soul emanated from the Flame Demon, followed by an explosion of evil Hellfire that engulfed it, quickly pulling its soul from its body by Diablo’s brute force. Then Diablo raised its right hand, absorbing the Flame Demon’s soul into the black Soulstone it held.

Without its soul, the Flame Demon fell to the ground with a ”bang,” turning to dust in the wind.

”...”

Seeing this, the twenty-five-legged men gasped, knowing full well that the one who crawled out just now was the Flame Demon Lord, one of the notable demons even in the Abyss. If encountered elsewhere, they would have to exert a lot of effort, likely losing some people, just to banish it back to the Abyss.

Yet... this Demon God easily disposed of the Flame Demon Lord as if strangling a chicken, even absorbing its soul?

How strong is it?!

Done!

Seeing the expressions on the twenty-five-legged men’s faces, Fang Zheng also breathed a sigh of relief. He had noticed the ritual was not completely interrupted, the summoning’s spatial rift was still maintained, and thus Fang Zheng thought of this plan.

Of course, if it were any other time, the twenty-five-legged men wouldn’t overlook such glaring loopholes and doubts. But Diablo’s evil aura masked the Flame Demon’s presence within the spatial rift, so they did not detect the issue immediately, allowing Fang Zheng to come up with this plan.

”What a downer.”

Fang Zheng coldly snorted, then lifted his head, glancing at the twenty-five-legged group ahead.

”I originally intended to enjoy a bit longer, but now I’m not in the mood. I’m heading back, mortals; perhaps we will meet again in the future!”

The twenty-five-legged group initially thought Fang Zheng was about to fight as they heard his earlier words, readying for battle. But hearing him in full, they all looked bewildered, and more frustrating for them was that after dropping this line, this terrifying-looking Demon God indeed just directly turned and vanished, quickly changing the scene before them, swiftly returning them to Silver City.

It was still as bustling and lively as ever, but for the twenty-five-legged group, their feelings were far more complicated than hearing him say, ”I’m your father.”

”Phew... Looks like it’s finally over.”

Wiping cold sweat from his forehead, the mercenary leader put away his weapon, and the Paladin beside him nodded in agreement.

”Indeed, I thought a fierce battle was inevitable, but it seems our luck is rather good.”

”A dancing Demon God? That’s quite amusing, isn’t it?”

With the threat removed, the Old Mage could even afford to joke now.

”If every devil were as amiable as this one, things would be great.”

The Paladin shook his head, but soon redirected his gaze back to the cultist corpses before them.

”But the issue isn’t over yet.”

”True.”

Hearing this, the Old Mage also became serious.

”The cultists dared to summon a Hell Demon God here, utterly reckless. If they succeeded, who knows what calamity it would bring. We must pursue them and eliminate them completely!”

Speaking of this, the Old Mage looked at Lady Fina beside him, but found her expression to be rather odd.

”Lady Fina... is there anything wrong?”

”No, nothing.”

Upon hearing the Old Mage’s query, Fina shook her head with a peculiar expression, then once more looked toward where Diablo had vanished, frowning slightly but saying nothing.

”Perhaps I saw it wrong...”
