Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 265: Chapter 264: The Creation Ritual of the New World

Time had come.

Standing atop the Hall of the Star Dawn, gazing at the city that flickered in and out of sight beneath the clouds, Fang Zheng took a deep breath.

Goki City.

Honestly, Fang Zheng didn’t harbor deep feelings for this city. It was only after Tilia and Lamy suggested that creating a new world required opening a pre-existing hole in this world to ensure the immense power of the God of Creation could flow through, that Fang Zheng thought of this place. It was, after all, the city where the Hunter almost initiated the devouring of the city; distortions were definitely not absent here.

“This is the place; we can start now.”

As he said this, Fang Zheng glanced at Black Katie a short distance away, while the young Shrine Maiden slightly lowered her head.

That girl… really dark.

Looking at Black Katie’s harmless appearance, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but roll his eyes. He hadn’t known what Black Katie had given him to drink before, but when he had gone to discuss life’s aspirations with Tilia, he found out that the stuff’s effects were a thousand times stronger than Viagra, and the result was… Tilia was still sprawled out in bed, not yet up.

No wonder, four days and three nights, even a Follower of the Crimson Realm would likely not withstand it.

Initially, Fang Zheng had thought Black Katie didn’t conflict with Tilia because she didn’t like to talk, but now it seemed… alas, none of those who could become Divine Kin were fools; Tilia had been thoroughly tricked by Black Katie this time.

Fang Zheng didn’t need to ask to know that after that incident, Tilia must’ve triumphantly pranced in front of Black Katie. Considering the girl’s personality, it wouldn’t surprise Fang Zheng that she, having made a breakthrough in her relationship with him, would be eager to “share” this with Black Katie. After all, one of Black Katie’s biggest grievances against Tilia was that she was just an ordinary King of the Crimson Realm and not a Divine Kin, nor had she received his blessing, yet she hung around him. Now that she had a new bond with Fang Zheng, Tilia would naturally be in a rush to share this with Black Katie.

The girl was truly asking for trouble.

To think Black Katie was easy to bully? Her title was “Seat of Apex”, and there’s a saying in Jianghu, “There may be a mistake in name, but never in nickname.”

With this thought, Fang Zheng sighed helplessly and then opened the Dimensional Codex, looking towards his Soulstone.

[Soulstone: Ritual Snake]

[Grade: Fantasy]

[Activation Count: ∞ (Limited: Wish-activated, Progress 100%)]

[Benefit Acquired: Grand Verse of Fate, Rite of Ji Ceremony, Genesis Arcana]

After absorbing the essence of the God of Creation, Fang Zheng’s possessed Soulstone of the Ritual Snake, the God of Creation, had finally been completed. For Fang Zheng, this Soulstone was certainly different from all others.

First was the activation condition. As stated by the system, the God of Creation required others’ wishes to freely wield power; thus, the most crucial condition for activating this Soulstone was that others must wish upon Fang Zheng. The more people and the higher quality of their wishes, the faster the progress. Once Fang Zheng’s wishing progress reached 100%, he could activate the Soulstone and unleash the power of the God of Creation.

But… as Fang Zheng suspected, this Soulstone was specifically limited in its use, which could be seen from its three benefits:

[Grand Verse of Fate: Permeate, entice, and change the principles of the world.]

[Rite of Ji Ceremony: Absorb the wishes of those who pray, perform Divine Might summoning, and transform it into reality.]

[Genesis Arcana: May consume a certain amount of the Power of Existence to randomly create a Free Method with power level B——SSS (0/1).]

This also meant that the Fantasy Grade Soulstone Fang Zheng had drawn could only be activated under the condition of being wished upon by others. After activation, Fang Zheng could use these three benefits to fulfill the wishes of others. What was more tricky was that this was another kind of “consumable” Soulstone, as its energy did not require an Energy Stone, but rather people’s wishes as “energy” for replenishment.

Only then did Fang Zheng finally understand that the entire main quest was, in fact, a “tutorial” for Fang Zheng on how to use the “Ritual Snake” Soulstone. Only after initiating the Soulstone of the God of Creation and completing the creation of the “Void Domain” did this tutorial conclude.

“Then, let us begin.”

Gathering his thoughts, Fang Zheng looked out over the city before him and raised his right hand.

“Sealing.”

Pitch black flames spread all around, then isolated the entire space, wrapping the whole city in darkness. This wasn’t Fang Zheng’s Sealing but the power of the Ritual Snake. For the next step, Fang Zheng could no longer switch his Soulstone; he had to fight as the Ritual Snake until the very moment of creation was complete.

And with the opening of the Sealing, the Followers of the Crimson Realm swarmed in as well.

“What a spectacular sight.”

Standing beside Fang Zheng, looking down at the surging crowd on the streets below, Lamy also couldn’t help but feel emotional.

“It’s because there’s a half-price sale on chips today, the time for a big rush has come.”

In contrast to Lamy, Fang Zheng appeared quite calm, which was normal, considering he had been through several similar human tides every year before his Rebirth, with people packed full like the tide filling the entire street, with no room even to turn around.

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s answer, Lamy gave a slight smile, then took a step back and disappeared into the air.

“Now, it’s time for the final stage—turning the Hall of the Star Dawn into the form of True Administration.”

As the old man’s words fell, the ground around Fang Zheng began to crack and break apart, and in the blink of an eye, the beautiful Floating Island that once hovered in the sky completely collapsed, leaving only the core tower remaining. Silvery white pipelines and metal rapidly descended, as if a castle in the air was searching for its foundation, settling on the ground from above, forming a tower filled with a mechanical sense.

“Ohhhhh!!!”

Seeing the suddenly emerging tower, the Followers of the Crimson Realm who had come from outside let out cries of emotion; many of them prostrated on the ground, offering their respects to the tower above and the Pitch-Black Serpent that sat atop it, while some Followers acted like frenzied fans seeing their idol, attempting to rush to the Ritual Snake’s side. Fortunately, Fang Zheng had been prepared, and the members of the Masquerade Ball responsible for guarding the surroundings immediately stepped forward to block them.

No wonder these Followers of the Crimson Realm were so excited—it was akin to humankind learning “we are about to have a ceaseless and clean source of energy,” an irresistible temptation. And now, they were here to witness the birth of it all with their own eyes.

What followed was…

“Begin, my Shrine Maiden.”

Fang Zheng turned around, looking at the Shrine Maiden who stood quietly behind him.

“Yes, Alliance Hierarch.”

Upon Fang Zheng’s command, a smile, the first one ever to grace her expressionless face, appeared as the young girl lifted her head and held aloft the Silver Staff in her hand, then slowly ascended into the sky. Fang Zheng looked up, watching the Shrine Maiden ascend to the center of the huge Black Snake hovering high in the sky.

Then, Black Katie closed her eyes, holding the Silver Staff tightly.

“—————!!”

Countless Free Methods—the Grand Verse of Fate — flew out of her body in the form of light streams, swirling and coiling to form a giant azure light orb. Layer upon layer of Free Style kept flying out from the core, wrapping around like a ball of yarn growing larger and larger.

It was her duty as the Divine Priestess, as well as her responsibility.

She would Summon the Divine Might of the God of Creation and, sacrificing herself, would open the Egg of the World.

“Is it the creation of an entire world this time?”

Standing on the other side of Fang Zheng, “The Shapeshifter” Xiu Denan silently watched the light orb above their heads.

“I wonder when our next meeting will be?”

“It won’t be too long, General.”

Hearing Xiu Denan’s murmur, Fang Zheng glanced at her.

“The little girl gave Tilia a hard time; she won’t let her get away with victory just like that—trust me, my hunch is very accurate. Perhaps you’ll see each other again before long.”

“If the Alliance Hierarch says so… then I shall wait and see, hmm?”

However, no sooner had she finished speaking, Xiu Denan’s expression suddenly changed, and she turned her head. At the same time, the corners of Fang Zheng’s mouth also lifted slightly, revealing a hint of a smile.

“It seems the disruptive guest has already arrived.”
