Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 263: Chapter 262: Ways to Improve Task Evaluation

For Fang Zheng, this was a major victory, not only giving those self-important Fire Mist Warriors a severe blow and making them recognize the situation clearly, but he also successfully executed a certain fire-loving rascal on the spot, teaching her that playing with fire is a very dangerous thing.

Now, feeling refreshed, he sat at the desk and began to look through the reports sent by the Herald.

The Masquerade Ball had become the largest organization of the Followers of the Crimson Realm, and Fang Zheng had to admit, their organizational hierarchy was quite impressive. For instance, this Herald — initially, Fang Zheng had no idea what this position was, until Berupeoru explained it to him. He then realized a Herald was a role specifically for conveying the will of the Three Pillars to the lower echelons of the Followers of the Crimson Realm and for relaying the reactions and thoughts of these lower echelons to the upper tiers. At that time, Fang Zheng was astounded… The Masquerade Ball really was at the cutting edge of the times.

But no matter what, these Heralds really did have their skills.

“The facts prove that your concerns, Alliance Hierarch, did indeed exist.”

Looking at Fang Zheng in front of her, Berupeoru also showed a respectful face. To be honest, as an Enchanted of the God of Creation, Berupeoru hadn’t thought too much. Even though she was known for her cunning, Berupeoru’s ultimate goal was simply to realize their previous dream of creating a new world.

As for what the new world would be like? In Berupeoru’s view, it would certainly be extremely good. That’s why, when Fang Zheng first issued the order, although she felt it was making a mountain out of a molehill, she still instructed it to be carried out. freewёbnoνel-com

But when the news came back, not only was Berupeoru stunned, even the Heralds below were flabbergasted.

Because the issue they thought was without doubt had actually stumped those Followers of the Crimson Realm! Even many didn’t know what they were supposed to do when they reached the Void Domain!

“That’s normal, it’s no big deal.”

Compared to Berupeoru’s astonishment, Fang Zheng appeared rather calm. Often, intelligent beings are just masochistic; you need to smack them once before they understand how to improve. Just like humans, who, fearing the cold, made fire; because of insufficient food, they began agriculture; needing more effective transport, they invented the wheel; needing to travel faster to other places, they invented cars and airplanes.

The Followers of the Crimson Realm were similar — they needed to survive in this world, so they had to devour humans, and their subsequent developments were actually not much different from how humans battled for survival in this world in the past. For instance, their Noble Phantasms and Free Method were primarily for survival and combat, and secondarily for other purposes.

So for the Followers of the Crimson Realm, they, just like humans, first met their basic survival needs, then their safety needs, between which they found some fun to relax their spirit before continuing onto the next cycle.

And now, they were about to head to a new world filled with boundless Power of Existence, what did this imply?

Heh, if you tell humans that in the future they don’t need to eat, drink, bask in the sun, and can do nothing but breathe air to live however they want, see what the human reaction would be.

Why bother working so hard to earn a pitiful amount of money? Why do any work at all? Everyone might as well turn into lazy bums.

However, there are still some Followers of the Crimson Realm who have dreams; they expressed plans to delve into arts, research, music, literature, and some intended to focus on crafting Noble Phantasms. But those with ideas only accounted for one-third of the Followers of the Crimson Realm, the rest, more than half, still had no idea what they wanted to do in the new world.

This made Berupeoru very troubled. She wasn’t a fool, the God of Creation wouldn’t just create the world and neglect it, but looking at the current situation, Berupeoru was really worried that these fellows would soon mess up the new world.

That would really be bad.

“Here’s what we’ll do.”

Soon, Fang Zheng had gone through the reports of the Heralds. He was pleased that his subordinates did not lose their minds to the impending victory and joy, which also reflected Fang Zheng’s consideration for his main mission.

Now Fang Zheng had realized that the main missions issued by the Dimensional Codex were fundamentally about evaluations, but along the way, the highest evaluation each world’s main mission received was merely ‘A’; it had never reached ‘S’ level. This puzzled Fang Zheng greatly, but after much deliberation, he finally figured out some patterns.

In the previous worlds, what Fang Zheng did could only be considered not bad, but not particularly good, either. Therefore, his evaluations never reached the top tier. But this time, Fang Zheng intended to do his best. Having thought it through, he realized his biggest flaw previously might have been doing things haphazardly, and leaving as soon as he was done, just like in Dark World and Edge of Tomorrow. In those instances, he merely dealt with the immediate trouble — in Dark World, he only killed a small boss, while in Edge of Tomorrow he just dealt with an advance party of an alien. It seemed like he had temporarily solved humanity’s issues, but on reflection, it was clear that those worlds would definitely face alien attacks in the future.

Perhaps this was also why the Dimensional Codex rated his previous missions low.

Thus, this time Fang Zheng intended to solve problems once and for all. Just resolving the immediate issues wasn’t enough; he must also plan for the future. Although he couldn’t manage everything perfectly, he at least had to solve most of the problems, treating it as an experiment.

“This isn’t an issue.”

After reviewing the reports, Fang Zheng quickly made his decision.

“Go and inform them, I said that even after heading to the new world, the Masquerade Ball will not disband, and they can continue to stay and follow orders if they wish. As for what to do… of course, it is to maintain the order of the new world. Once that new world is created, the Followers of the Crimson Realm will go there directly, many of them are newcomers who need to be properly educated about the rules. If they are willing to stay and work, then let them remain here,” Fang Zheng declared.

“Yes, Alliance Hierarch.”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s response, Berupeoru sighed in relief, evidently thinking it was a quite good idea.

“Then, I need to step out for a while.”

After discussing the action plan for the new world with Berupeoru, Fang Zheng stood up and walked toward the door.

“Do you have some errands, Alliance Hierarch?”

“Just a minor inconvenience,” Fang Zheng replied with a wave of his hand.

“I can handle it alone.”

America, New York.

Sitting in a corner of the airport, watching the throng of people coming and going, Shana sighed deeply, bowing her head.

Unlike the cheerful and laughing atmosphere among the Followers of the Crimson Realm, the Fire Mist Warriors were engulfed in a somber mood, as if the end of the world was imminent and they were preparing for death.

No, it was even worse than that.

If it were just the end of the world, the Fire Mist Warriors would try to stop it. The problem now was the Pardon Order that had spread across the world, causing significant turmoil among the Fire Mist Warriors. Some thought it was a good thing, others suspected it was a conspiracy of the Masquerade Ball, and yet others felt they should not let the Followers of the Crimson Realm escape and wanted to block their “path of escape.”

In the meantime, the Fire Mist Warriors had been in disarray, with countless battles breaking out at airports and docks around the world, affecting the real society. Although the external world tried to classify these events as accidents, the governments were quite discontented.

With the failure of the plan and the complete resurrection of the God of Creation, especially after the news that God of Creation would build a new world in Goki City, Followers of the Crimson Realm flocked there like a pilgrimage. However, Fire Mist Warriors had no countermeasure, which caused Shana great anxiety. Although she arrived at the battlefield last and helped the Fire Mist Warriors repel the Followers of the Crimson Realm, many now had little interest in her proposals.

Or rather, after that failure, they had become more timid than ever.

Overcoming several Fire Mist Warriors still supported her idea, Marjorine Doe and Sera had also begun analyzing the Grand Verse of Fate, but Shana was still very tense. Because this time, she was here seeking help…

“Would you like a raspberry?”

Just then, a crisp, pleasant voice reached Shana’s ears. She turned her head to look at the girl sitting next to her, a brown-haired twin ponytail girl who appeared to be about her age named “Aurora Shooter” Chiara, another Fire Mist Warrior who had come along as her assistant.

“…Thank you,” Shana responded.

She hesitated slightly before reaching out to take a raspberry from the girl and putting it in her mouth. Soon, a sweet and sour flavor spread in her mouth, bringing a happy smile to Shana’s face. Seeing her expression, the girl next to her also relaxed a bit, just as she was about to say something…

“Click.”

At that moment, accompanied by a flash, a soft sound erupted. This suddenly brought the girl, previously immersed in her small happiness, to a pause. They quickly looked up to see who it was, and saw a young man with black hair standing in front of them, holding a smartphone, grinning at them.

“Really didn’t expect, you look so cute when you smile, seems like I’m in luck to have captured such a good photo, it would be great to use it as wallpaper.”

“Fang Zheng!”
