Chapter 250: Chapter 249: Rise, Scourge Legion!

“What’s happened? What’s going on?”

Faced with the sudden blizzard that appeared before their eyes, the Fire Mist Warriors were startled, instinctively stepping back to avoid a potential attack. But the next moment, as the snowflakes dispersed, the sight before them caused the Fire Mist Warriors to widen their eyes in surprise.

“My God, what on earth is this?”

Where they stood was no longer the stone bridge that spanned the entire battlefield but an endless frosty snowfield. And instead of the Hall of the Star Dawn that should have been floating in mid-air, now there stood a tall, pitch-black fortress.

“Is this a Noble Phantasm? Free Method… no, is it Sealing?”

The experienced Fire Mist Warriors on the scene didn’t need much time to realize they were trapped in a Sealing. But precisely because of this, they became even more surprised and puzzled. This place was a deserted wilderness; therefore, neither the Fire Mist Warriors nor the Followers of the Crimson Realm would normally initiate a Sealing here. First, a Sealing would consume extra power, and second, it made no sense—after all, in this godforsaken place, who were you trying to hide from?

Don’t even talk about people; there weren’t even ghosts here.

But now, someone had initiated a Sealing and trapped them inside?

Moreover, this Sealing… seemed different from what they had imagined…

In the face of all this, the Fire Mist Warriors were utterly astonished; however, Fang Zheng clearly didn’t need to concern himself with the reactions of his enemies. With a light snort, he raised his right hand.

“Warriors of the Frost Wasteland, awaken!”

“Crack!”

Following Fang Zheng’s call, the ground around the Fire Mist Warriors, previously covered in thick snow, suddenly rose up. Soon after, Undead Creatures emerged from beneath, encircling the enemies before them.

“What is this?”

“It’s Phosphorus! Be careful!”

Watching these enemies with soul flames burning in their eyes, even the Fire Mist Warriors were terrified, having never seen such foes nor such a Sealing—it wasn’t just any Sealing, it was an entirely different world!

“Break through the encirclement; we have to get out of here!”

Seeing this scene, the leader of the Fire Mist Warriors, Zamiel, furrowed his brow and loudly issued the order. He wasn’t a fool; just by observing what was happening, Zamiel immediately realized what Fang Zheng was plotting. He surely intended to delay them, waiting for reinforcements to regroup!

We must not let him succeed!

Although this Sealing seemed strange, since it was a Sealing, it was definitely possible to enter and exit at will. Right now, Zamiel’s only concern was not knowing how large the area of this Sealing was, and whether… everything before him was just an illusion.

But now, he no longer had time to think about all this.

“This is your beginning and end, mortals! Do not think of entering the master’s chamber!”

With a roar, suddenly, from the side of the Fire Mist Warrior Legion, a bone storm burst forth like a tornado. Immediately after, Zamiel saw a giant skeletal creature with a massive axe emerge from it, its pitch-black eye sockets burning with angry flames.

“The mighty Scourge Legion will let death and destruction sweep across the world!”

The Scourge Legion? Wasn’t it a Masquerade Ball?

Before Zamiel could even react, accompanied by a roar, the giant bone creature swung its axe, charging into the crowd before them!

This is bad!

Watching the skeleton giant charge into the formation as if a wolf had entered a flock of sheep, Zamiel too was taken aback. But before he could give any commands, suddenly, a voice came from not far behind him on the other side.

“How dare you intrude this sacred place? This will be your burial ground!”

Were there other enemies?

Upon hearing this voice, a chill ran down Zamiel’s spine, and he hurriedly turned around. On the other side of the Fire Mist Legion, a towering figure enveloped in a purple robe, slowly encircled by chains, silently reappeared among the army of undead. She raised her hands and in the next moment, an endless rain of arrows mixed with bone-chilling frost fell from the sky, enveloping the entire Fire Mist Legion.

“Not good! Dodge!”

“Be careful, these things are tough to deal with!”

Soon, the Fire Mist Warriors were horrified to find that the ice arrows falling from the sky not only had tremendous lethality but also bore a terrifyingly cold aura. As they exploded next to the warriors, they could feel the chill seeping into their bones, even hindering their movements and reactions!

“Quick, retreat along the same path we came!”

At that moment, Zamiel’s expression changed. He finally understood why his warriors were no match for that human—the Sealing and these potent Phosphorus, although he didn’t know how it was done, were enough to withstand an army’s attack just based on what had appeared before him!

No wonder he appeared so confidently before him and his men; just with this eerie Sealing, he could hold off a large army!

“Retreat, the vanguard will cover the rear, everyone regroup and begin falling back immediately!”

While fighting off the Scourge Undead that had reached him, Zamiel also issued commands immediately. He then quickly turned to a nearby Fire Mist Warrior.

“Report our situation to Commander Sophie immediately!”

“Yes!” ƒreewebɳovel.com

Upon hearing Zamiel’s order, the Fire Mist Warrior nodded and hurriedly began to use the Free Method to try to contact Sophie outside the Sealing. However, before she could complete the method, suddenly a dark figure descended from the sky, grabbing her and lifting her into the air, accompanied by a piercing scream. Zamiel watched as the Fire Mist Warrior was hoisted up by the shadow.

“You have made a… foolish… decision…”

A woman with a pale blue complexion and bat wings appeared from behind the Fire Mist Warrior, revealing a cruel smile to Zamiel below. In the next instant, the woman fiercely opened her mouth and bit down hard on the neck of the Fire Mist Warrior!

“AAAAAAAAHHH!!!”

Feeling the pain in her neck, the Fire Mist Warrior could not help but scream out. Seeing this, Zamiel could no longer restrain himself.

“Release her!”

With a roar, Zamiel’s entire being burst forth as he charged towards the woman with bat wings floating in mid-air. Seeing Zamiel’s approach, the bat-winged woman merely smiled coldly before suddenly flinging the Fire Mist Warrior she held toward him.

“Damn it!”

Not expecting such a move from the opponent, Zamiel momentarily hesitated before hurriedly reaching out to catch the Fire Mist Warrior, bringing her back to the ground.

“Are you alright?”

“Uh … uh …”

But to Zamiel’s surprise, the Fire Mist Warrior did not answer his question. Instead, she curled up in pain and began to moan. Before Zamiel could act further, she suddenly looked up and, like a ferocious beast, launched an attack on Zamiel!
