Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 246: Chapter 245 Prelude to the First Act

“State your name!”

Looking at the Follower of the Crimson Realm before him, Fang Zheng raised his hand.

Watching Fang Zheng’s movement, the Follower of the Crimson Realm also paused, his fighting spirit suddenly ignited into flames and began to burn fiercely! For he could feel that the display from his opponent was not one of anger, mockery, or high-handed arrogance.

Instead, it was an invitation to step onto the stage and fight him.

Even if he merely wanted to test the other’s power and give him a beating, wanting to fight was just that…

But that was, a confirmation of everything.

Affirmation of all desires.

So, it was time for him to step onto the stage!

“I am the Circuit Soldier ‘Mudijin’ Libezar!”

The Follower of the Crimson Realm, in his beetle-shaped giant form, took a sudden step forward, coming before Fang Zheng. Seeing this, the surrounding Followers of the Crimson Realm stirred like a calm pond disturbed by thrown stones, but it was not dissatisfaction, rather, a boiling of zeal and excitement. Soon, a noisy cheer erupted, echoing in the hall.

In the face of this scene, Black Katie and Berupeoru showed no reaction, while Tilia simply revealed a sweet smile and silently hid in the shadow.

“Please show your power, and let me see if you are worthy of becoming our Alliance Hierarch!”

As Libezar’s words fell, the Followers of the Crimson Realm on both sides immediately stepped back, leaving clear ground for Fang Zheng and Libezar. Then at once, with an angry roar from Libezar, the red orb around his neck flew up, ignited and transformed into several clones identical to his main body, surrounding Fang Zheng.

Was this a technique of shadow clones?

Looking at the Libezars surrounding him, Fang Zheng too showed a trace of surprise. Was this a Noble Phantasm? Or was this just the power of this Follower of the Crimson Realm?

“Aaaaaahhh!!!”

At the same time, emitting a roar like a cheer, Libezar bowed his head, pointing his sharp horn at Fang Zheng, then charged at him like an enraged bull. Simultaneously, the other seven clones around Fang Zheng also charged towards him.

This was the first strike, with all his might!

At that moment, the cheers of the Followers of the Crimson Realm reached their peak. Amid their shouting, Libezar and his seven clones collided directly with Fang Zheng. Just one blow—was enough to tear him to pieces.

But…

“Boom!!!”

A loud collision sounded, and the cheering gradually faded.

Libezar’s eyes widened, disbelieving the scene before him. The sharp, razor-sharp tip of his horn, capable of tearing even a Fire Mist Warrior apart, was stopped by Fang Zheng stretching out his right hand.

Or rather, just a single finger.

Yet, that single finger made Libezar feel as though he was facing a mountain, so immense that no matter how hard he tried, he could not advance even the slightest bit further. Meanwhile, a pitch-black long whip emerged from Fang Zheng’s black cloak, coiling around like a giant python and forming a circle at his side, fending off the mighty attacks of this strong Follower of the Crimson Realm’s clones.

It wasn’t enough; he must change his fighting style!

At this moment, Libezar felt fear, his body trembling. It was the instinctive dread of facing boundless mighty power, but even so, he hadn’t given up. The joy of being affirmed was now even more intense in him. If before Libezar had no clear understanding, now, the more he feared this power, the more joy he felt.

Compared to the man before him, he seemed as insignificant as a grain of sand, yet even this insignificant self had been acknowledged and permitted the honor to stand here and fight against him!

It was not over, for he had many more powerful moves and methods to display in return to his Alliance Hierarch. In Libezar’s view, only by doing so could he truly honor the glory of the invitation given by his Hierarch!

“Very well.”

But at that moment, Libezar heard the man’s voice near his ear.

“That strike was quite impressive, ‘Mudijin’ Libezar. I felt your power and courage, well done, it is commendable.”

“………Yes!”

At the instant he heard these words, Libezar’s body, previously leaning forward, uncontrollably knelt before Fang Zheng.

It was over!

At this moment, his heart was full of endless reflections. It was as if a wonderful time granted by a monarch to his subject had come to an end. Although the subject still attempted to continue, the time had alas come to an end. But even so, what remained in the depths of Libezar’s heart was not the disgrace of defeat, but a kind of astonishment and emotion that had reached its limit.

He had accepted his challenge.

Permitted his impertinence.

Responded to his expectations.

Acknowledged his thoughts.

At this moment, Libezar no longer cared whether the man before him was a human or a Follower of the Crimson Realm, for his behavior just now was enough to make the Followers of the Crimson Realm acknowledge that this was the demeanor befitting their monarch.

This is what Deity is.

Seeing the enormous Follower of the Crimson Realm kneeling before him, Fang Zheng also felt inwardly moved. His current demeanor was entirely due to the influence of the Soulstone of the Ritual Snake. For Fang Zheng, this was a pure and supreme state of mind. He admitted to himself he did not possess such power. After all, Fang Zheng was merely a mortal.

This is what the Followers of the Crimson Realm are, purely following desire and power, but within this… there also lies the germination of order.

No, even humans, faced with such a Ritual Snake, would likely kneel and pray out of sublime emotion.

So, what about the Goddess of Order?

While pondering such questions, Fang Zheng continued along the corridor until he reached the balcony at its end.

He lifted his head and looked up at the starry sky.

And beneath this starry sky, there were countless Followers of the Crimson Realm.

Humans, Fire Mist Warriors, Followers of the Crimson Realm.

No one spoke, all the Followers of the Crimson Realm just quietly watched the man before them. And Fang Zheng, too, quietly looked back at them. Until a moment later, he finally spoke.

“Do your hearts foresee?”

“Do your bodies tremble?”

Fang Zheng’s voice slowly spread throughout the Hall of the Star Dawn, but there was no reply.

“Just as you think, see, and hear… The first phase of the Imperial Command has perfectly concluded with everyone’s efforts, and next—I will personally initiate the second phase of the Pardon Order!”

As he said this, Fang Zheng suddenly raised his right hand, and with his action, the pitch-black aura transformed into flames, rising from his body and erupting.

“I will open the Divine Gate, and from the ‘Ancient Trap’ retrieve the body of the Ritual Snake, the God of Creation!”

“———————!!”

As Fang Zheng spoke, the emotions of the Followers of the Crimson Realm likewise began to surge.

“And once we retrieve the body of the Ritual Snake, all that you wish for shall come to pass.”

Fang Zheng quietly looked at the Followers of the Crimson Realm before him; at this moment, he wasn’t representing himself but was issuing commands on behalf of his Soulstone, the “Ritual Snake.”

“Divine Gate, open!”

As Fang Zheng roared, the power represented by the pitch-black flames burst out from his hand in an instant, forming a massive pillar of light that shot straight into the sky. Following that, the sky began to warp and shake. Then something resembling a huge circular mirror slowly emerged from the vault of the heavens, spreading outward. Seeing this spectacle, Followers of the Crimson Realm all around started cheering, calling out and releasing their excitement.

“Long live the Ritual Snake, God of Creation!”

“It’s done.”

Hearing the cheers around him, Fang Zheng slightly smiled; they were exactly where the Ritual Snake had been sealed back in ancient times—back then, he had been subjected to the Forbidden Arcane by the Ancient Fire Mist Warriors and expelled to the void between worlds. And now, Fang Zheng could confirm that with the return of the God of Creation’s body, the last element needed by his Soulstone would be fully gathered.

“My Angel Envoy!”

With this thought, Fang Zheng waved his hand forward once more.

“Next, my Enchanted and ‘Inquiry Seeking’ will proceed to the corridor to awaken and retrieve the body. Meanwhile, you all will be responsible for attacking all the front lines, holding back all the main forces of the Fire Mist Warriors! Wield your claws, bellow your roars, demonstrate your fighting spirit, charge into battle! Show your Power of Existence, fight! Begin your actions!”

“Fight! Fight! Fight!”

At this moment, the Followers of the Crimson Realm were nearly frenzied, shouting their slogans, then quickly departing from the place—with a tremendous momentum, they headed towards the battlefields they were about to fight for.

“Well then, I’ll leave the rest to you.”

Pleased with everything before him, Fang Zheng nodded and then turned around, looking toward the Three Pillars behind him.

Then, Fang Zheng extended his hand.

With his action, a pitch-black, flame-engulfed Soulstone emerged from Fang Zheng’s hand, and seeing this Soulstone, Black Katie quickly stepped forward, stretching out both hands and respectfully taking the Soulstone from Fang Zheng’s hand.

“Aren’t you coming with us, Alliance Hierarch?”

Looking at Fang Zheng before her, Berupeoru couldn’t help but ask.

“Leaving it to you is enough, I need to manage the Hall of the Star Dawn. There shouldn’t be any issues between the two realms, but outside is another matter, and furthermore…”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng glanced once at the distant horizon.

“I have already seen the end.”
