Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 991: Chapter 991: A Father’s Unbiased Judgment

David Garcia was slightly taken aback. How could this be possible?

Sean Dalton chuckled, ”She came over to design dresses for us and felt quite wronged. She was complaining just now, and I had to persuade her for a while.”

David Garcia was slightly stunned. How could this be possible?

Seeing his father’s expression change slightly, seemingly pondering something, Sean Dalton continued to remind him, ”Mia Lane is, after all, Justin Kingston’s wife. It’s normal for her to be proud and aloof. You don’t need to be especially nice to her; it’ll only make her feel superior.”

Hearing this, David Garcia’s face darkened as his mood soured.

How could he talk about his daughter like that?

”What are you doing here?” David Garcia asked coldly.

Sean Dalton felt a chill but still wanted to seize the opportunity to say what needed to be said, ”Dad, this is just a collaboration. She’s designing the annual party’s dresses for us, and we’re paying her. There’s no need to buy her cakes to curry favor.”

”You don’t need to worry about company affairs.” The middle-aged man’s eyes carried a hint of warning, ”I have my own judgment; it’s not your place to teach me.”

”...” Sean Dalton felt a tightness in his chest and quickly bowed slightly, ”Then I’ll be leaving now.”

After speaking, she stepped towards the lobby exit.

Sean Dalton was still thinking that although her words were unpleasant, they would surely affect her father, given that Mia Lane was an outsider.

David Garcia walked towards the elevator with the senior executives, his expression cold and somber.

The executives didn’t dare to speak up, but they were full of questions and thoughts.

”President Dalton, does President Lane really look down on us?” One of the executives couldn’t help but ask, ”If it’s a collaboration, there shouldn’t be a hierarchy, right? We’re on equal footing, so what if she’s Mrs. Kingston?”

David Garcia turned his gaze and said lightly, ”If you have eyes, you shouldn’t judge with your ears.”

Hearing this, the executive paused, ”...Yes.” Was President Dalton clearly not trusting his daughter?

But judging by CEO Kingston’s perspective, President Lane’s character shouldn’t be too bad. She should be a humble and kind girl; her online reviews are consistently positive.

Ding, the elevator stopped.

The executives said their goodbyes and walked out of the elevator.

The elevator doors closed, and it continued rising. David Garcia held the cake, his eyes dark and brooding! Thinking of Sean Dalton’s slander, his mood worsened.

Carrying the cake, he didn’t go to Mia Lane’s office immediately but first found Trevor, ”Why did Sean Dalton come here? What happened just now?”

Trevor thought, did they meet downstairs? Was it a case of the evildoer complaining first?

So, Trevor told David Garcia everything he’d eavesdropped on outside President Lane’s office.

Listening to his recounting, David Garcia’s emotions gradually seeped in, and his expression grew increasingly grim.

Finally, his eyes shone with a piercing cold light!

”But President Lane was pretty cool,” Trevor couldn’t help but smile, ”She said, don’t look at me from your perspective; you can’t understand at your level, and don’t compete with me; you’re not my opponent.”

David Garcia took a deep breath, feeling quite gratified; Mia Lane’s counterattack was impressive.

But he was furious about Sean Dalton’s behavior and actions!

Distorting the truth! And even the wrongdoer complaining first?!

”President Dalton, this cake...” Trevor looked at him, having a guess in mind.

David Garcia’s expression turned gentle, ”It’s a dessert for President Lane’s group of six, just right for them to share.”

”Should I help you deliver it?” Trevor offered, reaching out.

”No need.” David Garcia instinctively drew back the hand holding the cake, ”I’ll deliver it.” With that, he turned and walked out of the office.

Watching President Dalton’s departing figure, Trevor felt that President Dalton cared a lot about President Lane, even more than his own daughter.

Not the usual concern for a partner; was it just because she was part of The Kingston Group?
