Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 981: Chapter 981: Many People Don’t Understand

The contract termination with Daisy, along with a compensation of three million, couldn’t be kept under wraps.

As soon as the bookkeeping process began, it quickly spread within the company.

”President Dalton is usually known for his guaranteed profit on deals, what happened this time? Eight million gone in just a day?” someone exclaimed in disbelief.

”It’s true, but it seems President Dalton’s mood wasn’t affected.”

”I have a friend who’s a designer at Daisy. She said the termination was suggested by President Dalton over the phone, without giving a reason, and he was directly willing to pay the compensation. Who wouldn’t agree to that? It’s like picking up eight million for free.”

Sean Dalton, dressed in a red gown, wearing high heels with diamond embellishments, and carrying a limited edition handbag, walked into the company entrance.

As she walked towards the elevator, she unintentionally overheard the employees engrossed in their discussion and couldn’t help but stop.

”Who can figure out President Dalton’s thoughts? All you can say is he spends money as he pleases.”

”This isn’t his usual way of doing things; it’s not stable enough.”

”Trevor was in charge of purchasing office supplies, and he ordered six new office desks,” someone stated confidently, ”I just came from the purchasing department.”

”It’s said there’s going to be a collaboration with the Kingston Group, and VP Lane will personally liaise on the annual gala’s dress design.”

”I heard about it too, and it just seems unbelievable. With Kingston’s reputation and status, why take on such an order?”

”And he’s sending his wife over here to work, wouldn’t that be unfair to her?”

”Does CEO Kingston have some relationship with President Dalton? How come we didn’t know? There’s been no prior collaboration, right?”

”They are two completely separate companies; there was no previous collaboration.”

After hearing so much, Sean Dalton roughly understood—

It was her father who canceled the cooperation with Daisy, costing eight million, and is now beginning a new collaboration with the Kingston Group.

Being able to wear clothes designed by Mia Lane is an honor in itself.

Chief Designer Emma is also the wife of the CEO of Kingston Group.

Sean Dalton thought it was quite good, though eight million was spent in vain, she didn’t understand her father’s intentions.

”Ahem!”

The female employees discussing turned their heads at the sound, and upon seeing Sean Dalton, they immediately stood upright, greeting her respectfully, ”Hello, Miss!” One by one, they were startled as if caught in a misdeed.

”What are you all discussing?”

Sean Dalton raised her chin slightly, exuding an aura just standing there, ”As a competent employee, just do your job well, the rest is not for you to worry about. If you spend the whole day gossiping, aren’t you afraid of having your salary deducted?”

”Miss is right.” One by one, they hung their heads, not daring to breathe too loudly.

”Why aren’t you all getting back to work?”

”Yes!”

The employees scattered and rushed back to their desks as if granted amnesty!

Sean Dalton then continued towards the elevator. As a celebrity, her schedule was always packed, and she rarely came to the company.

It had to be said, she maintained her figure well, and walked with grace, no doubt thanks to many hours spent at the gym.

She was an A-list star, naturally radiating charisma, with a personal fitness coach.

The elevator doors opened, and Trevor walked in with some documents, prompting Sean Dalton to speed up her pace and rush in right before the doors closed!

Trevor silently watched her, showing no emotion on his face.

”Hi, Trevor, long time no see.” Sean Dalton greeted him with a full smile, ”Is my father in the office?”

”He is.” Trevor was concise with his words, not very warm.

He didn’t seem to like Sean Dalton.

The elevator numbers increased, and in the relatively small space, only the two of them were present.

This silence made Sean Dalton feel a little awkward, as she usually was the center of attention wherever she went, except Trevor treated her like she was invisible.

”Is it confirmed that the annual gala dress designs are being handled by the Kingston Group?” Sean Dalton turned her eyes to him, seeking to address a topic he was sure to respond to.
