Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 982: Chapter 982: Considerate Father

”Hmm.” Trevor nodded, and then fell silent.

Sean Dalton was very curious, ”Did The Kingston Group come to us wanting to cooperate?” It didn’t seem likely that Dad sought them out.

”I don’t know.”

”...” Sean Dalton was speechless, feeling his indifference; this attitude wasn’t new.

Trevor, as the assistant to the president, seemed uninterested in why she had appeared at the company.

Actually, Sean Dalton and Trevor had known each other for a long time, but Sean was rather dramatic, presenting different fronts on and off camera.

Trevor was naturally cool and reserved, didn’t like making friends, and disliked her kind of hypocrisy even more.

Trevor’s feelings always followed his heart; if he didn’t like someone, he just ignored them, so the two were destined to have clashing auras.

Ding, the elevator stopped, and the door opened.

Trevor stood there without yielding, letting her go first.

Sean Dalton glanced at him, his height rivaling Justin Kingston, nearly six foot three, very handsome, just not fond of smiling.

”If you don’t go out now, the door will close,” Trevor said flatly.

Sean Dalton’s lips curled lightly, ”Trevor, if you hadn’t rejected my confession back then, you might now be the Dalton family’s son-in-law, and Dad would have been grooming you as the successor.”

Trevor’s eyes shifted slightly, looking at her without any emotion, ”Actors are heartless. I could never be with you. Don’t you have any sense of how chaotic the entertainment industry is?”

”The industry is messy, but I’m not,” Sean Dalton retorted defiantly, ”Don’t paint everyone with the same brush!”

Trevor couldn’t be bothered to argue with her and didn’t want to waste his breath.

He stepped forward and walked out, heading to the president’s office without looking back.

Sean Dalton snapped back to reality and immediately followed him out, almost getting caught by the elevator doors due to the time spent inside.

Trevor entered the office, placed down some documents, and then came out.

David Dalton was in a good mood, having finally found Stella, the daughter he’d longed for day and night!

He would see her soon...

He wondered if her habits from childhood had changed, if she still liked eating cake?

As he thought about it, a slight smile couldn’t help but appear on his lips.

When Sean Dalton entered, she saw her father sitting at the desk, smiling to himself.

”Dad!”

David Dalton came back to his senses and looked up, putting away his smile.

”What has you so happy?” The girl walked over to him, ”Is it because we secured the cooperation with The Kingston Group?”

”You know about it too?”

”Yeah, I heard.” Sean Dalton came to the desk, puzzled, but could losing eight million still make one happy?

”What’s up?” David Dalton asked.

”Dad, do you remember what day tomorrow is?”

”Tomorrow?” The middle-aged man glanced at the calendar, ”What day is it?”

”We take a family photo every year, and posting it on Weibo counts as an ad for the company,” Sean Dalton reminded, ”I chose ten sets of parent-child outfits, and sent the photos to our small family group, can you take a look when you have some time?”

Taking a family photo?

If Stella sees the family photo, she might feel that he is living happily and not want to disrupt this tranquility?

”We won’t take it this year,” David Dalton looked up at her and said, ”I have to go on a business trip tomorrow.”

Sean Dalton was stunned for a moment, then smiled and said, ”A business trip is no problem! We’ll just take it when you get back! After all, it’s a habit to do it once a year, there’s no rush in the next couple of days.”

David Dalton looked at her, ”I said two things just now, and you only heard the latter.”

”Huh?”

The father and daughter locked eyes, and Sean Dalton thought back, I’m going on a business trip tomorrow, no family photo this year?

”So... no family photo this year?” she asked in a daze.

David Dalton nodded, then withdrew his gaze, opened a file, and said very firmly, ”Yes, and we won’t take it in the future either.”
