Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 795: Chapter 795: The Mysterious Flash Drive

”What?” Lydia asked, ”Did she come looking for you?” It seemed possible.

Monica Usher did not answer, she merely stared coldly at him, ”Answer my question. Where is she?”

”The most reliable way to keep her from bothering you is to eliminate future problems permanently,” Lydia said calmly, ”She is already in the same parallel world as Ariel.”

Dead?

Monica didn’t quite believe it, but she knew she wouldn’t get anything more from him here. He had personally admitted it, so there was no chance of him retracting his statement.

So Monica did not press further and turned to leave.

Lydia watched her back, and many thoughts crossed his mind.

Why suddenly ask this?

Could Grace White have contacted her?

Lydia instructed Joe, ”Close the door.”

”Yes.”

Joe had just closed the door to the CEO’s office when Lydia dialed Grace White’s mobile number.

The woman was excited, ”Lydia! Why are you looking for me?”

”Did you go to Monica Usher again afterwards?” Lydia asked coldly.

The other person was puzzled, ”No, why?”

”Really no?” His voice grew colder.

”Really no! I swear!” Grace White anxiously explained, ”Why don’t you believe me? Did she say something to you?”

The woman grew nervous, ”Lydia, I’ve completed everything you instructed perfectly, I would never go against your wishes. How could I look for her? Besides, she’s a madwoman, she would kill me!”

Lydia understood Grace White, she trusted him and would not lie.

So Lydia hung up the phone and did not pursue the matter further.

In the vice president’s office next door.

After a calm analysis, Monica Usher picked up her phone and dialed a number, whispering, ”I need you to do something for me.”

...

Kingston Group, CEO’s office.

Two staff members stood before the desk, inserting the USB drive brought back from the police station into the computer, confirming it was empty.

Meanwhile, the USB drive previously left with Justin Kingston had all its contents intact.

”Are we sure it’s not the officer’s fault?” Justin asked.

The staff replied, ”It’s one of our own, the USB drive has always been in his possession, no one else touched it.”

This was quite perplexing.

Justin considered this possibility, ”Prepare two more empty USB drives for me.”

One of the staff immediately took two out of his pocket and handed them over, ”CEO Kingston, there’s a high-tech method now, video and audio are only allowed to be copied once. If copied again, it might automatically erase after a while, and the timing is very uncertain.”

Justin had seen such matters on a forum before.

He had personally copied files onto a USB drive, only to find them automatically erased after just five minutes.

Justin took the USB drive containing the files and scrutinized it, ”If we do this several more times, the contents might disappear too.”

”CEO Kingston, this can’t be handed over,” the staff said urgently, ”If there’s a slip-up, the hard-earned evidence will be gone.”

Actually, Justin was thinking the same; he wasn’t comfortable handing it over to anyone, especially since Lydia had a huge shield of protection.

”CEO Kingston...” another staff member tried to speak, ”Perhaps Gigi could resolve this.”

Justin lifted his brows and looked at him.

The staff lowered his gaze, softly advising, ”Now is the time to solve the problem, let’s put pride aside for the moment.”

”Papa!!”

Just as the staff finished speaking, a young boy’s loud voice came from the doorway, and the three turned to look!

They saw Gigi holding a thermal bowl, joyfully walking inside, ”Papa, I brought you black chicken soup! Grandma cooked it with her own hands~!”
