Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 793: Chapter 793: Intercepted

She used to have dreadlocks, would dress with a lot of personality, and wasn’t afraid of even Justin Kingston in Riventhal.

But today, going to meet Finn Morgan’s grandfather, she suddenly became nervous and cautious.

With her makeup done, she sneaked downstairs, thinking that at this hour her parents should still be asleep, planning to slip away.

Holding onto the railing and stepping quietly like a cat, as she turned the corner of the stairs, she bumped into her father’s deep and calm gaze.

She saw Dennis Hale standing in the middle of the living room with his hands behind his back, looking as if he was deliberately waiting for her.

The girl’s chest tightened, she stopped and straightened her body.

”Where are you going?” her father asked.

The girl’s mind quickly turned, and with a smile, she said, ”Dad, how come you’re up so early?” As she asked, she stepped down the stairs, ”I left a small fan at the office, I’m going to get it back to recharge, otherwise, the battery might get damaged.”

But experience counts, Dennis Hale saw through his daughter’s lie at a glance.

Seeing her lift her feet to walk outside, he commanded, ”Stop!”

”...” Hailey Hale’s chest tightened suddenly, she obediently stopped, hearing her father’s footsteps approaching.

”Hailey, where exactly are you going?” Dennis Hale walked to her side, his tone much gentler, ”Today is your grandfather’s 80th birthday, such an important day, and you’re going on a date with your boyfriend?”

The girl turned her eyes, ”It’s not a date.”

”Then what is it?” her father patiently asked.

Faced with her father’s gaze, she couldn’t answer.

Dennis Hale sighed lightly and earnestly said, ”Hailey, you’re grown up now, you should know what’s more important and what’s not. Of course, I know as an elder, I shouldn’t restrict you, but what day is it today? I’m not even going to the office, your grandfather’s 80th birthday cannot be missed.”

With her father saying so much, Hailey Hale felt powerless to resist.

At this moment, footsteps came from the staircase, Hailey Hale turned her eyes and saw her elegantly dressed mother, warm and dignified.

”Good morning, you two,” the mother greeted them in a pleasant mood.

”Good morning.” Dennis Hale cast an appreciative glance at her, praising, ”This outfit fits well, nice color, and the pattern is very exquisite.”

”Thank you for the compliment, honey.” The woman beamed, ”Hailey, what do you think?”

”It’s very nice.” Hailey Hale also smiled slightly.

Just then, Paige came down the stairs, she came to her daughter with delight, ”Hailey, you look so fresh in this outfit today! You’ve even changed your style for your grandfather’s birthday banquet, you’re really growing up.”

As a mother, she was full of comfort.

Hailey felt bitter inside but couldn’t express it, she could only keep smiling.

It seemed there was no escaping today.

”Sir, madam, miss, breakfast is ready!” At this moment, Sister May came out of the dining room, and because today was a good day, even her mood was especially good.

”Alright, alright, thank you for your hard work.”

Dennis Hale was always polite to the servants, and the three of them walked towards the dining room.

Today’s breakfast was as diverse as always, so exquisitely made that just seeing it aroused one’s appetite.

Paige ate most happily.

Dennis Hale ate breakfast calmly, occasionally observing the hidden anxiety in his daughter’s heart.

What exactly was she going to do?

Was she going to meet Finn Morgan?

This breakfast, Hailey Hale ate rather absentmindedly.

At this moment, at the entrance of Celestial Heights, Finn Morgan’s white Maybach was parked.

Checking the time again, it was already past the agreed time, over half an hour late.

Finn Morgan felt a bit suspicious, what’s going on? Overslept? This place is quite a distance from Veridia, so he picked up his phone and dialed Hailey’s number.

At that moment, Hailey Hale was still in the dining room, startled by the sudden ringtone! She took out her phone and glanced at the caller ID.

”Answer it.” Dennis Hale looked at her, lightly uttering a word.
