Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 779: Chapter 779: Going to the Police Station Early Tomorrow Morning

”I don’t think it was lost,” the assistant analyzed.

Aaron Abbott nodded, ”Right, it was swapped out.” Because only then would it be less noticeable.

If Justin Kingston had discovered it, would he have the mood for a late-night snack?

”Mr. Ashford.” The assistant was a bit anxious, ”What should we do now?”

Aaron withdrew his gaze, elegantly enjoying his dinner, ”Didn’t you have someone follow Hailey Hale? Where are they?”

”Still haven’t left Riventhal, probably planning to leave early tomorrow morning.”

Aaron spoke lightly, ”Then let’s head to the police station early tomorrow.”

”Mr. Ashford...”

”She can’t cash out that five million check; the item must be returned to its rightful owner. We don’t particularly lose anything, just a brief spell of joy,” he said calmly, exuding a composed elegance as if unaffected by joy or sorrow.

The assistant, who had worked with him for many years, couldn’t help but ask, ”If the item belonged to someone else, would you handle it the same way?”

”It depends on who it belongs to,” Aaron didn’t hide his thoughts.

”What if it belonged to Lydia Ingram?”

Aaron sneered; he unceremoniously mocked, ”Lydia Ingram wouldn’t be able to get such a fine diamond, and his glory seems to be coming to an end.”

”I’m quite looking forward to it,” the assistant smiled.

Monica Usher was once the vice president of The Kingston Group, then couldn’t get love and turned to Lydia Ingram; Aaron knew this well.

He was even more aware of the relationship between Lydia Ingram and Justin Kingston.

So with Monica Usher stirring things up, it only sped up Lydia Ingram’s path to prison.

”If Lydia Ingram can be toppled this time, CEO Kingston will have done a good deed for the entire financial circle,” the assistant was pleased, as Lydia had a bad reputation and was disliked by many.

Not long after dinner.

Aaron had just returned to his room to rest when Justin Kingston’s call came in, ringing directly on his private cellphone.

Aaron glanced at the caller ID and answered, ”CEO Kingston, have you eaten yet?”

”I have eaten. I’d like to bring my wife over, is that okay?” Justin Kingston checked out of politeness.

Aaron laughed, ”Of course.”

”Okay, we’re going to drop some things off for the kid and will come to find you shortly.”

”See you soon.”

The call ended.

As they drove away from the Kingston Group in a Lamborghini, Justin Kingston put away his phone.

Mia Lane turned her eyes and asked, ”Who are we meeting?”

”An old friend, a famous jewelry collector. He might want to buy some items from our new release for his collection, especially the limited editions.”

”That’s good,” Mia Lane said, ”But collectors generally have sharp eyes. Hopefully, he’ll be able to appreciate these diamonds.”

”He knows the business, and he’s righteous, so we count him as a friend.”

”Why are you taking me?” Mia Lane still didn’t understand, ”Wouldn’t it be better for the two of you men to catch up?”

Justin Kingston pulled his arm around her shoulder, couldn’t resist planting a soft kiss on her forehead, ”Because I consider you my own, I want to introduce you to some friends to help you integrate into my social circle.”

He was indeed meticulous.

”I’m sorry, Mia, I’ve been neglecting you lately,” Justin Kingston felt guilty, ”We’ll take a walk together later.”

”Okay.” As a young woman, she also dreamed of ordinary life; taking a walk hand in hand after dinner with her beloved was also a kind of happiness.

The car headed towards Clearwater Bay.

During this period, Gigi and Dolly had been staying at their grandmother’s house, captivated by the large amusement park, they always had to play after school.

Kristina Kingston also got used to spending time with the children; she became a normal person, transforming into a kind and patient grandmother.

Mia Lane got along well with her, calling her mom affectionately; Kristina Kingston treated her like a daughter with fondness.
