Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 752: Chapter 752: Each Other’s First Kiss

Kingston Group.

In the deputy CEO’s office, after finishing work, Barbara Sutton was ready to browse her phone with satisfaction.

She thought to herself—

”Hmph, Hailey Hale is now marked as the third party, it’ll be hard for her to clear her name in the future, at least she’ll have to endure strange looks in the company, right?”

The status of being the mayor’s daughter made her jealous.

Special Assistant Morgan treated her differently, making Barbara even more envious!

Just as she opened her phone, she was startled by the overwhelming reversal!

The video and photos of Finn Morgan confessing his love to Hailey went viral online, and the ’fiancée’ Melissa Merce appeared on screen, playing the role of a clown, not even worthy of being a foil.

Barbara was fuming! Even her heart rate sped up a bit.

”They’re together...” This was an unacceptable fact for her, as if something had cut a piece of flesh from her, that pain enveloped her, spreading through her entire body.

By the river, Finn Morgan was walking with Hailey in his arms.

”Don’t worry, Melissa is not Monica Usher.” Finn told her.

The girl glanced at him, ”What do you mean?”

”Monica Usher has been with CEO Kingston for nearly twenty years. They don’t have love, but they’re still very close.” Finn said, ”They’ve been on business trips together, overcome company difficulties together, worked late nights on projects together, and she used to be his right-hand woman, the woman closest to him.”

”...” Hailey took a deep breath, unrequited love is the most despairing.

Finn stopped, turned around to stand in front of her, holding her shoulders.

They gazed into each other’s eyes.

He sincerely explained, ”Melissa and I are just classmates, my mom likes her more, but I believe she’ll like you even more if she meets you.”

Mentioning meeting the parents made Hailey inexplicably anxious, ”We’re... just starting to date.”

”Yes, just starting.” Finn had made his own plans, ”Take things slowly, I’ll bring you home to meet my parents one day!”

Hailey looked up, the gentle river breeze tangled her hair.

Finn looked at her youthful face and couldn’t help wanting to give her a kiss.

He gently tucked away the stray strands from her face.

Hailey smiled, reached out to wrap her arms around his waist, and stood on tiptoe to give him a soft kiss on the cheek.

Before she could steady herself, Finn cupped her face and gently kissed her lips.

There was no one else on the riverbank, the wind was gentle.

The girl’s heart warmed, she closed her eyes, and her fingers on his shirt tightened unconsciously.

The river was wide, shimmering under the light, and the towering buildings opposite were of the Kingston Group, bearing the dreams of countless young people.

This was their first kiss, a bit naive, a bit tender.

Very ceremonial, not casual at all.

This moment was etched into both of their memories, even years later it would still be the most beautiful moment.

Just after the kiss, Hailey’s phone rang.

She took a glance at the caller ID and looked at Finn, ”It’s Gigi.”

”Answer it quickly.” Finn gave her shoulder a gentle squeeze, and they continued walking forward, he was in a good mood, feeling as if the air was sweet.

In love, it seemed unbelievable.

Hailey was puzzled, ”Gigi rarely contacts me.” She slid to answer, putting the call on speaker, ”Hello, little one!”

”Sister Hailey, I’ve found out the account slandering you online was registered with Barbara Sutton’s phone number.” Gigi said confidently, ”The account name is hers!”

Hailey slowed her pace, incredulously asking, ”She posted that stuff?”

”Yes! If you don’t believe me, check her phone; there might even be traces of logging into the forum.” Gigi said, ”I’ve told you what’s going on, it’s up to you how you handle it, bye! I’m off to play games!”

Gigi really disliked Barbara Sutton! That’s why she suspected and investigated her!

Hailey, holding her phone, felt very depressed, ”What did I do to offend her? Why would she go after me like this?”

”Let’s go back to the company.” Finn’s voice was cold and steady, he couldn’t let this go either, and with his arm around her, they started walking back.

And Hailey was not one to let grievances go unaddressed, this couldn’t just end like this!
