Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 773: Chapter 773: Planning an Escape

Barbara Sutton had already prepared herself mentally before coming over, so when meeting her gaze, she was calm and ready for inspection.

Monica Usher looked at her for just five seconds, gauging her courage.

Taking the jewelry Barbara handed over, she could immediately see it was an excellent diamond, far surpassing those from the R-Alan Group in color and texture.

One has to admire Justin Kingston’s crisis management abilities; he personally went to Zulmar to resolve a major crisis.

Monica Usher, who was no stranger to the world, put the jewelry away with poise, asking calmly, ”What are your plans now?”

Barbara Sutton slightly lifted the corner of her mouth, saying sincerely, ”Thank you, Monica, but I want to take a break. I don’t want to start a new job so soon, I’ve been working continuously for years and feel a bit exhausted.”

Monica could understand the fatigue that comes after working for so long, ”Alright, contact me anytime.” With that, she stood up, ”The coffee bill is settled, we’re even now, neither owes anything to the other.”

Barbara watched her step away, finishing her cup of coffee, passing the first hurdle.

Next, she needed to find buyers for the ring and bracelet; such valuable diamonds couldn’t be used for sustenance.

Once she had the money, she would leave the city. Barbara was ready to start a new life, to establish a new identity for herself, to become someone of importance.

So, the first thing Barbara did upon returning to her apartment was to go online to find buyers.

She searched for such information through specialized websites.

These exquisite diamonds should be directed to collectors, as only they would recognize their value and be willing to pay the price.

She sat in front of the computer for two hours, scrolling through the web pages.

Finally, Barbara found three suitable candidates, well-known domestic jewelry collectors who often appeared at various auctions.

Barbara further researched these three individuals’ reputations online... ultimately setting her sights on a man named Aaron Abbott.

Among these three, only he seemed upstanding, a proper businessman, and if the diamond was good, he’d pay without any negative reviews.

The other two, however, were known to engage in shady dealings.

Barbara did not immediately decide to contact him, only noting down Aaron Abbott’s contact details, a number for an assistant.

She was contemplating what might happen after selling the ring and bracelet...

Would it be exposed? How long before it’s exposed?

Where should she go after getting the money? How could she leave without being traced? She was making a detailed plan.

The jewelry was so beautiful, she couldn’t resist putting it on once more, standing in front of the window and admiring it in the sunlight, feeling a fleeting illusion of being a fortunate princess.

Kingston Group, in the CEO’s office.

Mia Lane, Justin Kingston, and Finn Morgan were watching a finished promotional video sent by the director.

It had played twice on the computer.

”The effect met my expectations,” Mia Lane said with satisfaction, ”What do you guys think?”

”Hmm, not bad,” Justin Kingston gave a positive response.

Finn Morgan nodded in agreement, continuously watching the video, ”Anton Ford performed well, he didn’t have that indifferent rogue air, rather he was quite proper.”

”Can a proposal video afford to be improper?” Mia Lane was also satisfied with his performance, ”This girl is nice, pleasing to the eyes, gets more attractive the more you look.”

”Is the jewelry stored properly?” Justin Kingston asked.

Finn Morgan, who had gone downstairs to fetch it, responded, ”It’s safely stored.”

Just then, someone knocked on the door excitedly reporting, ”CEO Kingston, President Lane, Special Assistant Morgan, the other styles of the True Love series are all completed! Congratulations!”

The three of them on the couch stood up at the news!

”Come on, let’s go take a look!”

Everyone was delighted and followed her downstairs.
