Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

”A Dojutsu capable of absorbing Chakra. Ordinary Ninjutsu won’t have much effect on him. I wonder if there is an absorption limit.”

”However, my Taijutsu is strong enough. If it is not the Perfect Susanoo, I still have a certain degree of confidence in shattering it.”

Watching Madara, whose body was covered by a half-body Susanoo, Seiryū pondered inwardly, ”Besides, it might not be necessary to break the Susanoo.”

As of now, Seiryū already had a rough guess about the Dojutsu of Setsuna’s two Mangekyo Sharingan.

One was a Dojutsu similar to the Spirit Transformation Technique that could control other people’s bodies. The other was a Dojutsu similar to the Preta Path or Dark Release, capable of absorbing Ninjutsu and Chakra.

Shinobi battles were also battles of intelligence. Knowing his opponent’s abilities allowed Seiryū to respond more calmly.

Taijutsu was the best method to deal with his opponent. And when it came to Taijutsu, Seiryū was also an expert.

As long as it was not the Perfect Susanoo, he should be able to smash this thick turtle shell!

”Boom!” With that thought, Seiryū moved again.

He stomped on the ground, his figure turning into a streak of light as he charged forward. He crossed several dozen meters in the blink of an eye and slammed down a heavy punch. ”Monstrous Strength: One Bone!”

”Sizzle!” His fist rubbed against the air, actually generating flames at that moment. As the punch was thrown, the flames grew even more intense, and driven by the force of the blow, the fire surged forward!

This was not Ninjutsu. It was Taijutsu. There was no possibility of it being absorbed by a Dojutsu!

”Pure Taijutsu?” Madara’s Mangekyo Sharingan rotated slightly. His sharp insight had already discerned that this was not Ninjutsu, but pure Taijutsu!

He was somewhat surprised. Taijutsu could actually reach such a level!

However, he was not afraid. He urged the Susanoo to raise its left arm and threw a punch straight at him!

With a loud ”Boom,” the incoming fiery punch collapsed under this strike, turning into scattered sparks. The shockwave swept out, shaking the surroundings and kicking up countless clouds of dust!

”Whoosh!” Taking advantage of that moment, Seiryū’s figure suddenly disappeared. When he reappeared, he was right in front of Madara inside the Susanoo.

His attack was ready. No, a heavy punch was already descending toward Madara!

”Hmm?” This turn of events caused Madara’s expression to darken slightly. He realized something in an instant. When the opponent’s punch had sent him flying earlier, he had left a Flying Thunder God seal on his body!

After all, he was the Asura of the Shinobi World, a man who had experienced countless battles. His reaction was extremely swift. He crossed his arms to defend!

”Fast reflexes!” Seiryū muttered to himself. As expected of Madara, his reaction was even faster than he had imagined.

However, now that he was this close, Madara would have to take his attack head-on!

”Boom!” A resounding roar shook the air. The punch slammed into Madara’s crossed arms, and massive force erupted, causing ripples in the air. The punch pushed against Madara’s arms and struck his chest. Although part of the force was blocked by his arms, the terrifying power of this punch still caused Madara’s chest to cave in.

It was also because this body was quite special, as if it had no skeletal support. Otherwise, his sternum would definitely have shattered into pieces in that instant.

The punch sent Madara flying, his body passing through the Susanoo as he continued to retreat.

”Whoosh!” But Seiryū’s attack was not over yet. Opportunities like this did not come often! He used the Flying Thunder God to flash forward in pursuit, and a battle-axe kick slammed into the chest of the retreating Madara. This changed the opponent’s backward momentum, turning it into a downward plunge.

”Boom!” Madara’s body slammed into the ground, and the massive impact caused the earth to sink. With the crater as the center, cracks spread all around.

”Roar!” Seiryū wanted to continue, but he saw a Susanoo charging toward him. The massive katana in its hand swung down, cutting toward him with a whistling wind!

”Sizzle!” The slash missed. It was dodged by Seiryū’s Flying Thunder God. However, the immense power created a smooth gash in the field, extending more than ten meters away.

”Strength, reaction, methods, and responses are all far beyond your peers. You truly surprise me, Uzumaki Seiryū!” Inside the crater, Madara stood up again, and the Chakra fluctuations on his body showed no signs of weakening. The Susanoo wrapped around his body once more.

Standing within the Susanoo, Madara stared straight at Seiryū, his tone calm and indifferent. ”However, I will not be careless again from now on.”

It had indeed been his carelessness. That was why he had allowed the opponent to land two attacks on him.

”Hum!” His left Mangekyo Sharingan spun. Madara tore open his black robe, revealing a half-black, half-white body. He reached out with his right hand. A special, eerie power surged in his palm, absorbing the black diamond-shaped mark on his half-black body, which would have been overlooked if one did not look closely.

Dojutsu: Kaiten-shin. It could absorb Ninjutsu and Chakra. The Flying Thunder God seal was constructed from Chakra, and ordinary means could not remove it. However, under the power of Dojutsu: Kaiten-shin, it would also be absorbed!

”Let me see what you are capable of, brat!” After removing the Flying Thunder God technique formula carved onto his body, Madara twisted his neck. It was as if he had regained some of his former bearing as the Asura of the Shinobi World, calm and confident!

As he spoke, the collapse in his chest quickly bulged back out. The White Zetsu, Tobi, was a special White Zetsu. Its physical strength far exceeded that of other White Zetsu, and it had been transplanted with the First Hokage’s cells. If it had been an ordinary White Zetsu, its body might have exploded directly under that punch.

”Also, let me show you something interesting. Wood Style: Deep Forest Emergence!” Madara formed hand seals, a meaningful smile curling at the corners of his mouth. As the seal was cast, the surrounding earth suddenly began to shake, and huge vines rose from the ground, strangling toward Seiryū like pythons.

”Wood Style!?” Looking at the surging sea of trees, Tsunade, who was not far away, had her expression change slightly. It was actually Wood Style!? Why would ”Madara” be able to use Wood Style?

And such power was far stronger than that of the Wood Style shinobi, Yamato, whom she had encountered before. It was simply not on the same level. It even gave her the feeling of her Great-grandfather’s Wood Style.

”Wood Style?” Seiryū was not very surprised. It was normal for Madara to use Wood Style. Plus, this Zetsu body must have been transplanted with the First Hokage’s cells. Under Madara’s control, it was not strange for him to use Wood Style.

”Whoosh!” Seiryū’s figure flashed, and he had already left the spot. He appeared in another, more distant location. At the same time, he began to chant in a low voice. ”Spreading bones of the beast, spire, crimson crystal, steel wheels; movement is wind, stillness is void, the sound of spears clashing fills the empty city.”

The Dragon Vein Chakra containing natural energy was mobilized. Naturally, this activated the necessary conditions for the Hadō chant! The power of the Hadō would be greatly increased after the chant.

Seiryū formed a seal with one hand and pushed out with his right palm. ”Hadō #63. Raikōhō!”

”Crackle! Rumble!” A piercing electrical sound rang out at that moment, and a thick pillar of lightning blasted toward the incoming winding trees, causing a roar at the point of impact. Lightning shattered, and wood chips flew everywhere. This strike had almost blasted the vast majority of the incoming tree vines to pieces. However, there were still more tree vines strangling toward Seiryū.

”Senjutsu?” Sensing the aura of natural energy, Madara raised an eyebrow, then sensed carefully. ”No, it is not Senjutsu. It just has the same aura!”

”You have not mastered Senjutsu, which means the so-called Dragon Vein Chakra you mentioned is what is at work?”

”This purple Chakra contains natural energy!”

”Using this Chakra to fuel Ninjutsu increases the power of your Ninjutsu. Is it actually somewhat similar to Senjutsu?”

Senjutsu. Although Madara had never used it, he was not unfamiliar with it. The reason Senju Hashirama could suppress him was also because Hashirama had mastered Senjutsu. This kid’s technique contained natural energy! It could increase the power of Ninjutsu just like Senjutsu Chakra!

”Interesting. Too interesting!” Madara looked at Seiryū, his tone playful. ”But you cannot fully control this Chakra, right? Or rather, you cannot control Chakra containing natural energy.”

”And then what?” Seiryū interrupted his nonsense. His eyes remained cold, and his anger had not yet dissipated. ”If I want to leave, can you stop me? The current situation is that I fight when I want to fight, and I leave when I want to leave. What can you do to me?”

Possessing the Flying Thunder God, Seiryū could easily leave and was already in an invincible position. Dragon Vein Chakra containing natural energy would cause damage to his body, and opening the fifth gate of the Eight Gates, the Gate of Limit, would also be a burden. However, these injuries and burdens could be endured under the healing of Kaidō. As long as the time was not too long, it would not be a big problem!

Seiryū did not think that he could defeat Madara right now, and killing the opponent was even more of a fantasy. But the anger in his heart at having his thoughts exposed by Madara, as well as the worry over how that troublesome woman, Tsunade, would view him later, made him feel restless. If he did not vent it, it would be very uncomfortable. It would leave his mind feeling blocked!

”Whoosh!” His figure flashed again, dodging the Wood Style’s assault, and he landed in another position. Seiryū stared coldly at Madara. ”One of your Dojutsu can absorb Ninjutsu and Chakra, but this kind of technique must have an absorption limit.”

As he finished speaking, Seiryū raised his right hand and pointed his fingertip at Madara. ”Cero!”

”Hum, hum, hum!” The Dragon Vein Chakra flowing in his body was mobilized by Seiryū and gathered at his fingertips. A blinding purple light shone across the surroundings at that moment. A strange and powerful Chakra fluctuation surged and erupted, making the air seem to solidify.

In the movie, Hiruko’s Dark Release could not absorb the highly condensed Rasenshuriken, which was enough to prove that techniques that absorb Ninjutsu and Chakra also had an upper limit. Although the Rinnegan Preta Path’s Blocking Technique Absorption Seal could absorb the Rasenshuriken, that was the Eye of the Six Paths, which stood above all Kekkei Genkai.

Now, it was just a pair of Mangekyo Sharingan Dojutsu. Was there an upper limit to absorbing Ninjutsu and Chakra? Seiryū wanted to test it out!

”Shoo!” Even more concentrated and condensed than a Tailed Beast Ball, it fired in the form of a beam, making it faster and giving its power a greater focus. This was Cero, and also a Tailed Beast Ball with shape transformation!

At that moment, the world seemed to lose its color. The sunlight in the sky was obscured by the purple light, and all one could see was the intense purple glow. This Chakra beam seemed to be the center of the world, making it impossible to look away.

”Is this the Tailed Beast Ball with shape transformation that White Zetsu spoke of? To think it could be used to this extent.” Madara’s Mangekyo Sharingan spun. Under his powerful dynamic vision, the incoming purple Chakra beam seemed to slow down at that moment.

In an instant, Madara had a premonition. This kind of heavy, extremely condensed mass of Chakra could not be plundered or absorbed by Dojutsu: Kaiten-shin.

If he still possessed the Rinnegan, activating the Preta Path’s Blocking Technique Absorption Seal might be able to absorb it completely. But the effect of Dojutsu: Kaiten-shin in plundering and absorbing Ninjutsu and Chakra was at most similar to the Dark Release Kekkei Genkai. Facing such a heavy, extremely condensed Ninjutsu, it could not take effect.

No. It should not be said that it could not take effect. Rather, the absorption efficiency was too low. It could not absorb this kind of Ninjutsu instantly. Time and efficiency were key!

”I acknowledge your strength. To possess such strength at this age!” With his arms crossed, standing proudly within the Susanoo, Madara laughed loudly. ”However, I am Madara, and a Tailed Beast Ball is nothing more than a child’s toy in front of me!”

At that moment, a trace of fighting spirit rose in Madara’s heart. A long-lost fighting spirit!

”Roar!” Madara’s Mangekyo Sharingan spun, accompanied by a roar from the Susanoo. Under the injection of powerful ocular power, the appearance of the Susanoo changed again. Materialized ocular power and Chakra constructed armor, attaching itself to the Susanoo.

Wearing armor and holding weapons, the fully armed half-body Susanoo looked even more majestic and extraordinary, and the aura it gave off became even more powerful! Under Madara’s urging, the huge Chakra katana in the Susanoo’s hand was raised high and slashed down fiercely toward the incoming Cero.

”Boom!” The Susanoo slashed down with the katana held in both hands, colliding with the Cero that seemed to pierce through the world. Cero was not a Tailed Beast Ball. Its structure was actually not stable. As long as it encountered an obstacle and was not redirected immediately, it would detonate like a triggered bomb!

”Rumble!” The Cero completely exploded at that moment, and an even more powerful roar erupted. The terrifying power, like a volcanic eruption, was completely released. The terrifying roar shook the eardrums and the entire Kusagakure, as if a nuclear bomb had been detonated!

”Boom, boom, boom!” The shockwave from the terrifying explosion swallowed everything around it. It drowned and swallowed the Susanoo, as well as Madara inside the Susanoo. Furthermore, a destructive storm, with the explosion as the center, swept in all directions, washing away everything like a tide!

”Boom, boom, boom!” The earth shook continuously. Where the shockwave passed, the surrounding buildings collapsed wildly. Even the surging, strangling Wood Style was completely destroyed at that moment!

Such an attack, such a collision. This had already exceeded the scope of a Jōnin. Even a Kage, or some weaker Kage, might not necessarily be able to unleash a technique with such power.

”Crack!” Facing such aftershocks and such a powerful impact, even the Susanoo, which had been injected with stronger ocular power and had stronger defense, could not resist. Accompanied by the sound of glass shattering, cracks appeared on the body of the Susanoo. It looked as if it would disintegrate and collapse in the next moment.
