Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Madara fell into an inexplicable silence.

It was as if the words he was about to blurt out were stuck in his throat.

This brat, did he have something wrong with his brain?

But the Uchiha Clan was the Uchiha Clan. The art of posturing was already deeply ingrained in them.

Madara’s scarlet gaze fixed on the two, ignoring Seiryū’s words.

His tone was calm. ”To still have the mood to joke when facing this pair of eyes of mine, you are very special.”

”Geniuses, after all, are always a bit different.”

Seiryū nodded in agreement. He would just take it as the other party complimenting him.

”To be able to develop such a special technique, if placed in the Sengoku period, you might have stood at the same height as Hashirama and me!”

Madara’s voice was calm, yet it contained an undercurrent of dominance and confidence.

These words also faintly revealed some information.

He and Hashirama, and the addition of a pair of Mangekyō Sharingan.

It would make people associate him with the Asura of the Shinobi World, Madara!

Madara was a name that could never be ignored in this current era.

To facilitate the future actions of his representative, he did not mind spreading the news that Madara was still alive right now.

Seiryū: ”...”

As expected of you, Madara.

You could even pose like this?

What was the deal?

Using rhetoric to make people think of Madara made your own aura seem higher, right?

”Are you like Kakuzu, the S-rank Rogue Ninja from Takigakure, who once ambushed the First Hokage and then shamelessly claimed to have fought the First Hokage for three hundred rounds, just to make himself look better?”

Seiryū looked suddenly enlightened.

Then he sighed, as if feeling emotional. ”You people, why do you always have to make a big deal out of the First Hokage’s name?”

”Although it is not shameful to lose to the First Hokage, don’t you feel embarrassed to treat your own defeat as something worth showing off?”

Still wanted to pose?

I won’t let you.

I’m going to mock you instead!

”Sharp-tongued brat!”

Madara narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze carrying a hint of malice.

As an elderly man, his temperament was naturally very good.

But the other party’s words made him feel some irritation.

He had always placed himself on the same level as Senju Hashirama.

But the truth was.

He really could not beat Hashirama.

Seiryū nodded again. ”Oh, thanks for the compliment. I’ve always been quite articulate.”

”Heh.”

Madara just chuckled and shook his head, maintaining his aura, and said indifferently, ”When Hashirama and I used to roam the Ninja World, we also saw.”

”Again?”

Seiryū interrupted before the other party could finish. ”Seriously, would you die if you didn’t mention the First Hokage when you talk?”

”If you want to guide us to guess your identity, there’s no need for that!”

”I have no interest in your identity!”

”And if you really are from the same era as the First Hokage.”

Seiryū’s tone was mocking. ”Then it only proves one thing. You are a damn coward. You didn’t dare to cause trouble when the First Hokage was around, and now you only dare to come out to show off your presence!”

”What did you say!?”

Madara’s Mangekyō Sharingan spun rapidly, his pupils radiating intense killing intent.

A powerful surge of Chakra radiated from his body, shaking the surrounding air!

”Did I hit a sore spot? Tsk tsk tsk.”

Seeing Madara’s intense reaction, Seiryū was not afraid.

Instead, he clicked his tongue. ”Another defeated opponent of the First Hokage. Come, come, tell us, maybe we’ll know your name!”

”The price for provoking me with your words is very high.”

Madara’s gaze was cold as he stared at Seiryū.

Listening to this guy’s words, he was truly stirred into anger!

’Boom!’

The Mangekyō Sharingan rotated slightly, and an inexplicably special ocular power bloomed, accompanied by a powerful surge of Chakra.

The next moment.

Green, materialized Chakra constructed a half-body skeleton, covering Madara’s body.

This was the Dōjutsu of the Mangekyō Sharingan, Susanoo!

”Susanoo!?”

Seeing this green half-body skeleton, Tsunade’s expression changed slightly, and her eyes became solemn. ”Could you be, mmph.”

Seiryū covered Tsunade’s mouth, not letting her continue.

Otherwise, would that not be playing right into Madara’s hands?

He could not let the other party pose!

Tsunade: ”?”

What was this kid doing?

”Shh, don’t say it. He’s waiting for this moment.”

Seiryū held up his left index finger to his lips and whispered, ”Let him say his own identity. That way, he can’t pose, and his aura will drop!”

Tsunade shot a glance at Seiryū, slapped away his hand covering her mouth, and said indifferently, ”You guessed his identity too?”

The other party’s identity.

Through his words, the Mangekyō Sharingan, the ease of activating Susanoo, and such Chakra fluctuations.

Tsunade had already vaguely guessed something.

The other party was very likely the former Asura of the Shinobi World, Madara!

But.

Could the other party really have lived that long?

”Isn’t he just a defeated opponent and coward who once lost to your Great-grandfather and hid away? What? Do you think he’s some big shot?”

Seiryū said this, pretending to be confused.

Tsunade: ”...”

Confirmed.

This kid definitely guessed the other party’s identity just like she did.

He just did not say it out loud.

And he was deliberately mocking and provoking the other party.

What on earth did this kid want to do?

”It seems you have guessed my identity.”

Madara narrowed his eyes.

Judging from their expressions and actions, they should have guessed his identity.

His scarlet Mangekyō Sharingan was still fixed on Seiryū. ”Having guessed my identity, you still dare to talk to me with such an attitude. Have the people of today forgotten my terror?”

”Guessed your identity?”

Seiryū looked at Madara with a blank face, then looked very serious. ”Who are you?”

”Hmph! Still planning to provoke me now?”

”Speak it out!”

”...”

In that instant, Madara’s breathing grew heavier.

His gaze became even sharper. ”Very well, what a sharp-tongued brat. Prepare to bear my wrath!”

”Bear your wrath, then you should at least tell us your identity first, right? Come, come, let us die with clarity. Who are you? Speak it out!”

Seiryū’s tone was very sincere.

Madara could no longer hold back. Anger flashed across his half-black, half-white face, and the killing intent in his eyes grew even denser.

His hands quickly formed hand seals, and the Chakra fluctuations on his body surged and erupted. A powerful aura burst forth instantly.

Madara’s chest puffed up at this moment.

”Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation!”

The hand seals were finished, and Madara spat out a scorching curtain of fire from his mouth.

The monstrous curtain of fire, dozens of meters wide, swept across the front. The terrible heat contained within made the air distort.

The raging curtain of fire also swept away the surrounding water vapor, and the temperature in the vicinity rose sharply at this moment!

’As expected of Madara. Even at his age, and only occupying Zetsu’s body, he can still exert such power.’

The rushing curtain of fire was powerful, and Seiryū narrowed his eyes.

The power of this Fire Release was even stronger than what Setsuna had once shown.

’Sss sss sss!’

He did not dare to sit and wait for death.

Golden Chains spread out from Seiryū’s body like tentacles, and he formed hand seals with one hand. ”Bakudō #60: Rikujōkōrō!”

The Chakra in his body flowed into the Golden Chains.

The Golden Chains pierced the ground in front, and a semi-transparent light curtain expanded from the points of the Golden Chains, forming a special sealing defensive barrier!

’Boom!’

The curtain of fire surged forward and collided with the sealing defensive barrier constructed by Bakudō #60: Rikujōkōrō, immediately creating a roar.

However, it could not break through the defense of Bakudō #60: Rikujōkōrō. It was blocked outside!

”The Sealing Jutsu of the Uzumaki Clan. No, it’s a brand-new, different kind of defensive Sealing Jutsu.”

The flames burned fiercely, and inside the green skeleton, Madara was unaffected by the surrounding temperature.

He walked forward step by step.

The Adamantine Sealing Chains of the Uzumaki Clan also possessed some defensive capabilities.

Uzumaki Mito once used them, and they could even withstand the attacks of a Tailed Beast for a short time.

However, this brat’s defensive Sealing Jutsu in front of him was different from what he remembered.

This was a brand-new defensive Sealing Jutsu. It must have been developed by this kid himself.

The strongest genius of Konoha.

The other party truly deserved this title!

”If you were allowed to grow, you would become a powerhouse comparable to us. It’s just a pity that you are still too weak right now.”

Madara had already arrived not far from the sealing defensive barrier constructed by the Golden Chains.

His scarlet gaze fixed on Seiryū, and he said calmly, ”You have a monster similar to a Tailed Beast sealed inside you. Unleash it and let me see.”

’Hum!’

As he spoke.

Madara activated the Dōjutsu of his right Mangekyō Sharingan, Dōjutsu: Kaiten-shin.

It was like the Dōjutsu of the Rinnegan’s Preta Path, and also like the absorption Ninjutsu of a Bloodline Limit.

Dōjutsu: Kaiten-shin could absorb and plunder Chakra for one’s own use!

The Golden Chains not far ahead and the sealing barrier constructed by the Golden Chains fluctuated at this moment.

In the end, they actually turned into pure Chakra, which was controlled by Madara and finally cast into the Box of Ultimate Bliss.

”Hmm?”

Noticing this situation, Seiryū frowned.

He hurriedly dispersed the Fullbring: Heaven’s Chain and the Bakudō #60: Rikujōkōrō he had cast.

’A Dōjutsu that can absorb Ninjutsu and Chakra.’

Seiryū muttered to himself.

A technique that could absorb Ninjutsu and Chakra was very useful.

When encountering such an opponent, one did not dare to use certain techniques at will, as they would be absorbed by the other party.

It was also very troublesome.

At the same time.

At this moment, a system prompt sounded in Seiryū’s mind.

[Ding, as the future Soul King who will rule the Three Realms, the host has successively displayed his powerful strength. Among them, the Shinigami Hollowfication has attracted the attention of a former rogue captain of the Gotei 13, who wants to investigate the source of the host’s Hollowfication power!]

[Note: Given that the current gap between the host’s strength and Captain-level is significant, and the host is not a match for the rogue captain, according to the system’s judgment, the reward for this mission is issued directly to help the host safely survive the crisis! Reward obtained: Bakudō #81: Dankū!]

Hearing the system prompt in his mind, Seiryū was stunned for a moment.

Then, information about Bakudō #81: Dankū flooded into his mind.

This situation surprised Seiryū.

He got a reward just like that?

Madara was a rogue captain of the Gotei 13?

Uh.

There really were some commonalities!

Very good.

The system did a great job!

Moreover, the system prompt had not stopped.

[Ding, as the future master who will rule the Three Realms, in the face of those with malicious intent, one should fight back with the most powerful stance! But due to the large gap between the host’s strength and the attacker, it is not something the current host can overcome! The path to becoming the Soul King must not be lost, and ensuring the host’s life is crucial! Please remember this crisis, turn pressure into motivation, and achieve the position of Soul King as soon as possible! Mission released: Successfully escape from the rogue captain! Mission reward: Intermediate Hadō Compendium! Intermediate Bakudō Compendium!]

The successive system prompts almost made Seiryū dumbfounded.

The system triggered a critical hit!

It gave him a reward directly and also gave him a mission.

The reward for this mission was even more generous, Intermediate Hadō Compendium and Intermediate Bakudō Compendium!

Was there really such a good thing?

Just escaping from Madara.

Could this be considered a difficult mission?

It was just a matter of Flying Thunder God!

Hmm.

The system was unreliable, but it really had the benefits of being unreliable.

This time.

He had basically won big!

”Heh, are you scared after witnessing my power?”

Taking Seiryū’s change in expression as being frightened by his Dōjutsu, Madara could not help but chuckle proudly. ”If you don’t want to die, then release the monster similar to a Tailed Beast inside you.”

Attracting the other party was for several purposes.

First, to investigate Seiryū’s specific situation, talent, strength, personality, and whether he could be used by him in the future.

Second, to understand what kind of monster similar to a Tailed Beast was sealed inside him, whether it had the same characteristics as a Tailed Beast, and whether it could also be used by him.

Third, it was to use the Chakra of the monster similar to a Tailed Beast inside the other party to open the Box of Ultimate Bliss!

”Want to kill me? Well, I know the Second Hokage’s Flying Thunder God Technique.”

Seiryū kindly said to Madara, ”Do you need me to explain the effect of the Flying Thunder God Technique to you?”

He had mastered the Space-Time Ninjutsu, Flying Thunder God!

Unless Madara could seal the space.

Otherwise.

He could leave with a single thought.

Precisely because of this, the system’s mission this time was practically a giveaway.

In his memory.

Madara without the Rinnegan did not have any technique to seal space.

Hearing this, Madara frowned, his expression looking somewhat unpleasant. ”Flying Thunder God Technique.”

He naturally knew what kind of Ninjutsu the Flying Thunder God Technique was.

It was the Space-Time Ninjutsu developed by Senju Tobirama, the one he hated the most, loathed the most, and wanted to kill with his own hands.

This brat in front of him actually mastered this technique too?

In that case.

His plans might fall through.

Damn Senju Tobirama. He had been dead for so many years, so why did he still haunt him like a ghost?

Leaving behind this disgusting Space-Time Ninjutsu!

(To be continued.)
