Global Lords: My Species Can Mutate

Chapter 33: Chapter 32: Advice

“Brothers, after reaching Tier Five, there are no species rewards!”

Just when Lin You was checking the rankings, a message suddenly appeared on the regional channel.

The channel, bustling early in the morning, went silent in an instant and then exploded completely.

“No species reward for upgrading to Tier Five?! What’s going on?”

“Is this news confirmed to be true?”

“Who told you?”

“Impossible! I got species rewards every time I leveled up, so why are there none at Tier Five?”

“Could it be a trick? Only a few Tier Fives have emerged so far.”

“It seems it’s not a trick; I’ve also heard it from those Tier Five bigwigs.”

“Ah this…”

The channel was flooded with dense messages, all shocked by the appearance of this news.

After Tier Five, there will be no rewards for new species.

It simply shattered their hope of reversing fate.

Many Lords who got random trash species in the early stages wailed and cursed, feeling it was unfair.

But no matter how they cursed, it was in vain, not changing the result at all.

As for others, they were shocked but somewhat relieved.

After all, Heaven had already given them four chances; not landing a usable species wasn’t a matter of luck.

Combined with the current Tower of Species.

As long as you randomly get a passable species and work hard to collect resources, you can still raise your level.

So in terms of results, resources are still the key.

No matter how many species you have, without resources, it’s all empty talk.

Lin You deeply understood this truth, waking up early and working tirelessly to accumulate resources.

Seeing the discussions on the regional channel, he merely smiled slightly and paid no attention, continuing to head toward the other side of the forest.

When he crossed the forest and reached the Wasteland Wilderness, the messages on the regional channel also cleared, leaving only a few scattered messages, seemingly just posted this morning.

“Could it be that someone else has come here?”

Lin You frowned, not expecting that someone had already come to explore this wasteland.

It seemed he needed to speed up his mining, or else if that mining area was discovered, it would definitely lead to intense strife.

Moreover, after one night had passed, the leaderboard already had more than twenty people at Tier Five.

At this rate, Tier Five will only become more populous, and then iron ore will definitely be in short supply, being fiercely contested.

He didn’t want to get involved in such trouble.

Thinking of this, Lin You couldn’t help but accelerate, heading toward the direction of the mine.

Soon, he reached the bottom of the mine where he had previously been digging, resuming his excavation.

As the plants dug arduously, his personal storage space gradually filled with iron ore, soon piling up more than half.

“Hmm? What’s this?”

Suddenly, Lin You’s gaze was drawn to a peculiar rock amidst the pile of ore.

The rock differed from iron ore, its color slightly more vibrant.

He picked up the rock curiously to examine it.

[Name: Copper Ore]

[Introduction: One of the materials for territory construction, can be used for various types of construction.]

…

“Copper Ore!”

Lin You’s eyes instantly lit up.

Isn’t this another material for territory upgrading?

Unexpectedly, it’s also found within the vein of iron ore!

Excited, he immediately turned to the pile of freshly mined ore to search back and forth.

Sure enough, it didn’t take long for him to find another seven or eight pieces of copper ore.

Though smaller in quantity than iron ore, it accounted for a certain proportion and was considered a pleasant surprise.

With this, the copper ore output finally found its footing.

After collecting the ore, Lin You took the plants and left the mine, heading back towards the territory.

After two trips back and forth, the quantity of iron ore reached over four hundred units, and though the copper ore wasn’t abundant, it was slowly increasing, and he believed it wouldn’t be long before he collected enough materials for upgrading to Tier Six.

However.

On Lin You’s third trip to the mining area, an accident occurred.

An unexpected guest suddenly barged into the mine, bumping into him directly.

The intruder was a stern young man about the same age as him, accompanied by a group of Fire Element species and a few Earth Element species.

The young man was surprised to see someone else here, initially stunned, and then becoming vigilant immediately.

Lin You also felt the same.

He looked at the other party in utter surprise, shocked inwardly.

Because he noticed that among the youth’s Fire Elements, two had unusually large bodies, reaching Tier Five!

Elemental Type, and having more than two Tier Five species.

Lin You would have to be foolish not to guess the other party’s identity.

“You… must be that Yan Wu, right?”

Lin You spoke first, his words tinged with certainty.

The youth raised an eyebrow, similarly saying, “If I’m not mistaken, you should be that Plant Type Lin You, right?”

Apparently, he also guessed Lin You’s identity from the characteristics of Lin You’s species.

The two scrutinized each other for a while.

After confirming their guesses, they suddenly exchanged smiles.

“There are many ores in this mine; it’s more than enough for us to excavate. Shall we each take what we need?”

“Exactly my thought.”

Yan Wu smiled faintly, his demeanor relaxed.

He came here intending to mine, not to fight a formidable opponent like Lin You.

Besides, they were both Tier Five, with rankings close to each other; even if a fight broke out and he won, it would lead to significant losses, making it unworthy.

Any wise person would know what choice to make.

Moreover, they had no conflicting interests, each taking what they needed, why not?

So after a brief exchange, the two divided and started mining on opposite sides, not disturbing each other.

“You’ve been mining here for quite some time, haven’t you?”

Yan Wu’s voice came from the other end of the mine.

“Yeah, I’ve been here several times; the materials needed to upgrade to Tier Six territory are quite abundant.” Lin You replied vaguely, not revealing specific details.

After all, it was their first meeting, and he still had to be cautious.

There was a moment of silence before Yan Wu hesitantly said, “I’d advise you… not to increase to Tier Six too quickly.”

“Not to increase to Tier Six too quickly? Why?”

Lin You was intrigued.

This was the first time he heard of someone advising against rapid upgrades.

Isn’t the world supposed to favor those with greater strength? Why would there be a contrary view?

“Trust me, when you reach Tier Six, something significant will happen, which might not be a good thing for us.”

Yan Wu’s voice echoed once more, seemingly more serious and even somewhat apprehensive compared to before.

Lin You’s expression turned solemn upon hearing this.

If it could make the third-ranked person so apprehensive, it was definitely not trivial.

Could it be that this Yan Wu knows something he doesn’t?

Surprised, he quickly asked, “What significant event? Can you tell me?”

“Actually, I’m not sure either, just that the region we’re in isn’t truly the Primordial Continent. Once reaching Tier Six, it will attract something here.”

“Is there really such a thing?” Lin You became even more startled.

“I only happened to hear it from someone from another place,” Yan Wu’s voice gradually became solemn.

“According to that person, they mentioned a bold figure over there, who concentrated resources first to upgrade to Tier Six, and once reaching Tier Six, mysteriously vanished, with his territory disappearing along with him!”
