Chapter 4: Chapter 3: Advancing to Tier Two, New Species

As soon as Lin You finished speaking, three small saplings were enveloped in a light.

In a burst of rapid growth, two of them transformed into Thorny Vine Grass just like before, with slight variations in attributes but no significant differences.

The most surprising to Lin You was the third one.

It unexpectedly bloomed into a vibrant red flower right in place!

As the flower unfolded, a tiny winged Little Elf slowly floated out, fluttering around Lin You continuously.

[Name: Flower Spirit]

[Race: Plant]

[Level: Tier One (0/10)]

[Power: 0]

[Constitution: 5]

[Agility: 8]

[Spirit: 10]

[Skills: Breath of Nature, Natural Spirit]

[Introduction: The lowest-level Plant Summoned Creature, capable of rapidly healing wounds.]

Just like the Thorny Vine Grass, the Flower Spirit also inherited the sapling’s skills. With the support of two healing skills, its recovery ability had reached an impressive level.

This is the power of the Mutated Ability!

With the Flower Spirit and three Thorny Vine Grass, Lin You’s territory became significantly safer and gained much vigor.

Lin You went to the Black Wolf’s body, processing it while opening the chat channel for the area.

After some time had passed, most people had already moved past the initial panic phase and began discussing various topics about territories.

“Guys, I’ve discovered something big. After the territory levels up to Tier Two, the Lord levels up to Tier Two as well!”

“What the heck! Is that true?”

“What? Can we also level up together?”

“Is the information accurate? And how did you level up the territory so quickly?”

“I tested it myself. After leveling up to Tier Two, I feel much stronger than before!”

“Wow! Did you get a full resource draw? Or is your initial species just overpowered?”

“I need to quickly gather wood and stone, and also Magic Energy; I’m still missing more than half of it.”

“I haven’t got any yet…..”

Lin You was surprised as he read the messages.

The fact that the Lord levels up with the territory was not something he had considered.

Recalling the voice he heard earlier, the territory core is derived from the Lord’s soul, suggesting a connection.

No wonder he could see territory information without being near the territory core.

[Territory Name: Tree of Life]

[Territory Level: Tier One]

[Territory Durability: 100/100]

[Recruitment Species: Plant Type]

[Recruitment Number: 10/10]

[Territory Introduction: The Lord’s survival foundation, with various functions. Territory core destruction leads to the Lord’s demise.]

[Upgrade Requirements: Wood (100/100), Stone (0/100), Magic Energy (0/10)]

[Note: Plant Type territory trait, self-supplying wood.]

The advantage of Plant Type is the inexhaustible wood supply.

This might be to compensate for the Plant Type’s early weakness, but it’s a pleasant surprise nonetheless.

It’s a shame that this fixed wood supply can’t be extracted; otherwise, he would have sold it to get rich and wouldn’t have to work so hard hunting Demons.

Now, without needing to worry about wood, he just has to gather stone and Magic Energy.

Stone is easier to acquire, as there’s plenty around the territory to use.

Magic Energy, however, is not so easily obtained because his Plant Summoned Creatures lack mobility, let alone going outside the territory to hunt.

It’s not like he can lure Demons to the Thorny Vine Grass, right?

Hmm?

Actually, that might work!

Lin You’s eyes suddenly lit up.

The territory still has the protection of the safe period, so as long as he doesn’t wander too far, it should be fine—it might even be a huge opportunity!

Once he decided, he acted.

After quickly processing the Black Wolf’s body, Lin You got up and picked up the dried branch, slowly walking out of the territory.

As he crossed the territory’s entrance, a warning promptly sounded.

[Warning! You have now left the territory range and are no longer under the protection of the safety time!]

Lin You ignored it and continued walking further away.

Sure enough, shortly after, seven or eight Black Wolves leapt out from the nearby forest, lunging at him with open jaws, clearly drawn by the scent of blood.

Lin You didn’t dare be careless and quickly turned to flee back into the territory.

At the same time,

The three Thorny Vine Grass inside the territory moved, their sharp vined tendrils slicing through the air, attacking the following Black Wolves.

The howls of the Black Wolves soared, unable to match the Thorny Vine Grass, and they were swiftly eliminated.

Under Lin You’s deliberate control, the Black Wolves all died under the attack of the first Thorny Vine Grass, instantly filling its experience points to the maximum.

Wrapped in a glow, the Thorny Vine Grass successfully evolved, and its bud slowly opened.

[Name: Thorny Vine Flower]

[Race: Plant]

[Level: Tier Two (0/25)]

[Power: 20]

[Constitution: 22]

[Agility: 9]

[Spirit: 17]

[Skills: Breath of Nature, Vine Whip]

[Introduction: The lowest-level Plant Summoned Creature, initially possessing mobility.]

Tier Two species did not learn a new skill.

But even so, Lin You was extremely thrilled.

Because now that the Thorny Vine Grass has reached Tier Two, it finally has mobility!

Looking at the bottom of the Thorny Vine Flower, it had indeed detached from the soil, growing thick roots that allow it to move slowly on the ground.

This was phenomenal news for Lin You!

Because now he could go out hunting, gathering stone and Magic Energy!

“By the way, the Mutated Ability!”

Suddenly, Lin You remembered his Mutated Ability could be used repeatedly.

He wondered what the effect would be if he used it on a Tier Two Thorny Vine Flower. Could it mutate into another more powerful Tier Two summoned unit?

But after thinking it over, he decided against it.

Because even if he used it again, he would only retain one of the skills at random, without gaining a third skill.

And he couldn’t ensure that the summoned unit would still have mobility after the mutation.

Instead of using the valuable Magic Energy he just acquired on the Thorny Vine Flower, it made more sense to use it to mutate the saplings to increase his combat units.

Considering that he needed to go out again, the more combat units, the better.

So soon, Lin You went under the Tree of Life and used the Mutated Ability on the remaining six saplings.

As before, wrapped in a burst of light, the six saplings underwent significant changes. Apart from four of them mutating into Thorny Vine Grass, two new species emerged!

[Name: Tree Spirit Guard]

[Race: Plant]

[Level: Tier One (0/10)]

[Power: 10 (Attack Strength)]

[Constitution: 8 (Life Force)]

[Agility: 8 (Speed)]

[Spirit: 8 (Skill Power)]

[Skills: Breath of Nature, Horizontal Slash]

[Introduction: The lowest-level Plant Summoned Creature, with excellent melee capability.]

It was a humanoid plant composed of branches.

It had two feet to move freely on the ground, and its arms consisted of two sharp wooden thorns, resembling a warrior, with attributes at Tier One’s maximum values.

This species probably ranked among the top within the Plant Type.

If a Plant Lord randomly started with this species, the early stages would undoubtedly go smoothly, unlike him, who had to risk his life luring monsters outside.

Comparing oneself to others really is frustrating…

“Roar!!”

While lost in thought, a resounding beast’s roar suddenly echoed outside the territory, snapping Lin You back to reality.

When he turned his head to look outside, his pupils contracted sharply.

“Tier Three Demon!”
