Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 513: Chapter 47: System Upgrade in Progress

Charlie’s mouth opened, and the ’Electronic Ghost’ floated out from his mouth, nose, and eyeballs. At first, it seemed like a wisp of smoke, then accompanied by countless illusory codes, finally standing before the two women was a human figure covered with a mosaic on its surface.

As billions of neural signals continuously leaped through the neural circuits, the ’Electronic Ghost’ covered the entire Cyber Test Field with terrifying speed.

Mengna suddenly realized something, her face drastically changed, and she turned her head, screaming: ”Shut down all the base defense systems immediately!!”

The blonde secretary also realized this and, without a word, turned and ran out.

Mengna, being a biological computer, could open the Cyber Test Field, unleashing the power of a test field.

And the monster before her could do the same, even more so, with the help of the ’Number One Authority.’

”Want to stop me? Then come and try!”

The next moment, both the ’Electronic Ghost’ and ’Mengna’ vanished simultaneously, replaced by hundreds of code pages, refreshing faster than a programmer’s hair falls out.

...

At the same time, with a loud crashing sound, Mr. G descended from the sky and landed at the entrance of the Balance Branch.

Instantly, the energy defense net, pulse force field, automatic electromagnetic weapons, automatic energy weapons, and numerous unmanned combat machines, all poised for action.

The entire Balance Branch immediately transformed into a purely mechanical fortress; even a genuine Mechanical Legion couldn’t conquer it in a short time.

This is standard war-level defense.

And the most eye-catching among them was the three-meter-tall red Mechanical Samurai, with its massive build, enormous electromagnetic samurai sword, and each move producing dangerous sounds between gears.

Among the list of green NPCs, a group of red, marked with dangerous names was particularly striking.

Besides these Level 50 Tier 2 super soldier species, the leader, an old man in a Japanese military uniform, turned out to be a Level 60 super boss.

[Marubeni Global Security Executive, Twelve Earthly Branches — Willow Garden Studio]

’Twelve Earthly Branches?’

Unlike corporations, the high-ranking officers of military groups are all masters of armed technology, and Marubeni Global Security’s senior officials, known as the Ten Celestial Stems and the Twelve Earthly Branches, each region is managed by one Celestial Stem and one Earthly Branch, the stem responsible for the military aspect, and the branch for the operational aspect.

Standing next to Willow Garden Studio was the returning Throne Department Head, Han Tong, who had received orders timely.

The four-armed strongman gave him a deep look and said in a deep voice: ”Mr. G, it’s not too late to surrender now!”

”Surrender?” Gao Gong looked at the countless dark muzzles and gun barrels in surprise, ”Shouldn’t it be you guys who surrender?”

”There’s no need to persuade a stubborn fool; after killing him, with your technology, you can use his brain to create a new biologist!”

Willow Garden Studio greedily looked at Gao Gong’s metallic body, feeling a chilly sensation emanating from his bones, even though the opponent seemed weaker than him, but just looking at it could make that feeling creep up.

He was very interested in that combat mechanical body! His old partner, Golden Bone, would also be interested.

With that thought, the seemingly gaunt and withered old man oozed a rich blood glow, making Han Tong’s eye twitch. He knew his nickname, the strongest assassin of the Pan-Asian Continent!

Clearly, the strongest assassin, yet not appearing in the assassin organization, but rather famous for firepower as a military contractor, quite an ironic feeling.

”Then, let’s do it.”

”Hmm, let’s do it.”

Accompanied by Han Tong and Gao Gong’s simultaneous words, the next moment, all Tier 2 weapons turned their barrels, madly attacking the corporate warriors on the field, the executives in the control room, and the machinery of the branch. In an instant, bloodlight and bright light intertwined, like a visual feast.

Han Tong was directly hit dumbfounded, instinctively turning on his biological armor, transforming into a humanoid crocodile existence, yet was still slammed away by an electromagnetic cannonball, making him dizzy, with blood volume loss directly over 4000.

And when he climbed up from the large pit on the ground, he found that the Balance Branch had become a slaughterhouse, with corporate warriors, mercenaries, and bounty hunters almost entirely submerged in a sea of artillery fire.

”How, how could this be!?”

Thousands of floating guns were shooting everywhere, electromagnetic cannons at various high points targeted buildings, and silently, a structure would collapse. Besides, some special existences, such as the Biological Network Implantation Chamber worn by technicians on their heads, exploded directly, leaving their heads gone. Other researchers, panicking, rushed into the test area, only to be sliced into pieces by cutting beams.

In short, there was no one left alive well.

Though Han Tong usually abhorred these monstrous biolab experiment freaks, now that they were dead, he suddenly felt a ’thud’ in his heart, as if it had cooled by half, and when he looked around, he could no longer see Mr. G’s figure.

And now, there was only one question in his heart — when did Mr. G hack into the branch’s intelligent system?

...

Meanwhile, in the underground database, Gao Gong and Mengna also determined the winner. On numerous code pages, the code belonging to Mengna was copied out; this copying was also devouring.

And although these codes struggled, twisting into a face, opening its mouth, trying to escape from the information level, the advanced operation skills of the Master of Level 6 Information tied up every part of the opponent, dragging it back.

”I surrender! I am willing to surrender!! Give me a way out, and I’ll tell you all the secrets!!!”

”For creatures like rich ladies, it’s necessary to have some dignity, but I lack such courage.”

”By the way, there’s something you might not know: the upgrade method for informational organisms is achieved through mutual devouring.”

”Biological computers are part of the informational system. Though their upgrade method isn’t devouring, it’s similar—”

”Thank you for providing me with the biological code required for the system upgrade.”

On the system panel, a few words were added after Biological Computer (Tier 1 max), G1.0 system upgrading.

...

Meanwhile, on the other side, Gao Gong’s real body appeared in the massive prosthetic processing center.

Gao Gong’s five fingers began to transform and inserted into the interface. In an instant, countless electronic barriers rose like city walls, with the complexity of the code being nauseating at a glance.

”Be conscious, this is what you promised me. Surely you won’t make me act personally.”

After a brief silence, the electronic firewalls sank down one after another, and soon the entire Balance Branch was completely defenseless against a certain person.

Wandering through one database after another, Gao Gong quickly found what he wanted in the deepest database.

[Tier 2 Civilization Architecture - ’Genetic Space’ downloading, 1%, 2%, 3%...]

[Tier 2 Civilization Architecture - ’Biological Information Synthesizer’ downloading, 1%, 2%, 3%...]

Taking advantage of this rare opportunity, Gao Gong wandered through other databases once again. After all, the inside of a world-class company’s division, even a branch, is a huge treasure trove.

[Level 7 Biological Blueprint - [Biological Energy Gun] download complete]

[Level 6 Biological Blueprint - [Biological Armor 3.0 version] download complete]

[Level 7 Biological Blueprint - [Biological Implant Network Access Chamber] download complete]

...

During the download of civilization architectural blueprints, Gao Gong consecutively downloaded over twenty biological blueprints, most of which were weapon blueprints, including some custom biological weapons by military contractors. If relying solely on ’Du Gao Technology’ for technical development, it would take at least 3 to 5 years to produce.

But now, all Gao Gong needs is to package these blueprints and hand them to Director Du. With Director Du’s capabilities, soon, a continuous stream of biological weapons will be rolling off the production line.

Probably due to the branch, these blueprints are all Tier 2 at most, not exceeding Level 7, which is a bit regrettable.

Moreover, Gao Gong didn’t find the blueprints for those ’Super Mechanical Samurai’, the Level 50 Super Mechanical Soldier, the mass-produced kind, which are certainly Level 9 blueprints.

Very cautious, Gao Gong smacked his lips.

’Ding—’

[Tier 2 Civilization Architecture - ’Biological Information Synthesizer’ download complete]

”Done.”

”Now, it’s necessary to consider another matter.”

With Gao Gong’s operation on the equipment platform, the warehouse system was opened. Although most of them were biological exoskeletons, there were also some military-grade mechanical prosthetics.

Soon, Gao Gong found what he wanted.

Name: Biological Lander (Military Grade)

Level: Tier 2 - Excellent

Equipment Position: Sports System - Ankle

Equipment Requirement: Biological Energy 15000, Sports System Transformation Rate 30%

Attributes: Agility +15, Endurance +15, Power +10, Additional Skills: High-altitude Landing, Initial Burst

High-altitude Landing: Also known as Heroic Landing, descending from heights over 100 meters, this process triggers bioelectricity to create a large-scale biological electromagnetic field, range 10*10 meters. For every additional 100 meters, the electromagnetic field diameter increases by 1 meter, while falling damage is reduced by 50%.

In the electromagnetic field’s range, attackers will experience additional states such as ’Paralysis -10%’, ’Resistance -10%’, ’Armor Weakening +10%’, ’Impact Damage +10%’, ’Ranged Attack +10%’, with each additional ten thousand biological energy, species status +5%.

Initial Burst: Starting speed for the first three steps +300%, while obtaining the special effect of ’Bullet Time’.

Note: A hero’s landing and running are always above ordinary men.

”Indeed, military-grade plugins are always a level higher than those on the market, and the key point is, I don’t even have to spend money.”

Soon, the sound of ’zzz’ rang out on the transformation platform of the prosthetic modification chamber. Even at this critical node of the great war, Gao Gong had time to implant a prosthetic in himself.
