Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 511: Chapter 45: Heretical Machina

The elevator descended rapidly, and Mengna was trembling all over. The blonde secretary next to her couldn’t help but glance at her, only to find that it wasn’t fear in her eyes, but excitement.

Indeed, Mengna was excited!

Mr. G, a top Biological Expert, perhaps also a top Hacker, although important, was not unheard of at headquarters.

However, it was the other’s Mechanical Body that made Mengna feel as if she was meeting the lover of her dreams, making her tremble with excitement.

It was this feeling, that twisted, mutated, rampant feeling, that she absolutely desired.

Getting it, analyzing it, the ’Weapon Faction’ would no longer need the assistance of the ’Armed Faction’, and Balance Technology could become a true biological enterprise, with biological eradication, biological mutation, and biological rectification.

Thinking of this, a suspicious crimson appeared on Mengna’s face.

The elevator stopped, and the door slowly opened. Mengna squeezed out before the door fully opened, forcing the blonde secretary to follow behind. Because of her bust, she hesitated for a moment and almost fell.

Finally catching up to her, she found that Mengna had already begun manipulating the central ’Human Body Storage Device’. Charlie’s body floated up along with a large number of bubbles, with dozens of connections inserted into him, and the other ends connected to her.

The Biological Computer excelled at human computation, far surpassing Human Chips and Artificial Intelligence, but only internally, not externally.

But after connecting with the ’Brain Beam’, it was different. The entire Liangzhou City was within her computation range.

The blonde secretary couldn’t help but remind: ”You only have half an hour of processing time. If you go longer, the ’Artificial Brain Beam’ will overload.”

”Don’t worry,” Mengna smiled faintly, ”I won’t cause too much commotion.”

The blonde secretary felt it was a flag, but she pursed her lips and said nothing.

The reason was simple: A black line appeared between Mengna’s eyes, running down the bridge of her nose and through her pupil—giving the appearance of a Balance Scale, with the two eyeballs as the weights on either side.

This could only mean one thing: Corporate Will had descended upon her.

In this situation, not even the senior executives at headquarters could manage Mengna, they could only unconditionally cooperate with her.

...

As Mengna started her operation, the management team at the Balance Branch was not idle either. Half of the Throne Department’s combat forces were lost in a single day, a first.

You should know, with these people’s strength, they are more than adequate in participating in a Corporate War.

A monster, perhaps?

The people in the Research Department were particularly excited; the opponent had shown techniques, a kind of existence called ’Construct’, that was very peculiar!

Even Dr. Liang, who had always been buried in his own research, appeared in the command room for the first time.

”Doctor, should we deploy the Super Samurai?”

Dr. Liang squinted and said, ”We can give it a try.”

”What about those biological test specimens then?”

”Waste utilization, release them all.”

”Ensure to strengthen the security of the branch.”

”Since the other side has stayed in this city, there’s a 65.9% probability that this is their target!”

...

At the previous battlefield, several figures descended from the sky. Han Tong appeared on the shore with a sullen face, looking around was a scene too tragic to behold.

He walked to a lump of human-shaped flesh and blood and gave it a push.

”Are you dead?”

”Barely recovered my body, and the first fight was this embarrassing, it’s shameful,” Hao Jie said with a bitter smile.

”It is quite shameful,” Han Tong didn’t waste words and tossed out a ’Medical Magic Cube’. The mechanical cube began to transform in mid-air, becoming a floating stretcher that directly lifted the injured.

Han Tong swept a glance around; everyone was seriously injured, but coincidentally, no one was killed.

But was it really a coincidence?

”Let the medical experts at headquarters repair your bodies.”

”Be careful,” seeing Han Tong about to leave, Hao Jie called out and advised, ”If you are going to face him, be extremely careful.”

”The main base is already parsing your combat data; I know somewhat of their abilities.”

”No, I mean, don’t engage with him unless absolutely necessary!”

...

A Super Corporation, or rather, the master of the Cyber Test Field, wielding Power is terrifying. For a while, the whole city seemed to light up with red lights.

On a mundane street, a monster resembling an Alien Form was rampaging. These ’Alien Forms’ varied in size, some being only half-human height and others as tall as two-story buildings. Though called ’Alien Forms’, their bodies were embedded with numerous Radiation Beast organs and bore many suture scars.

The appearance of these monsters caused great chaos.

However, these seemingly fearsome ’Test Specimens’ scurried around, giving the impression that rather than attacking, they were running away.

...

On a large street, there was blood and carcasses everywhere. Some ’Test Specimens’ scrambled into alleyways out of sheer panic.

However, an eerie laughter came from the alley entrance. In the next moment, one ’Test Specimen’ lost both legs, another had its spine sliced into pieces, and a dozen or so Test Specimens had their heads vanish. Even in death, their feet remained firmly fastened to the ground, from which blood and bone lotuses blossomed, numerous ’roots’ plugged into the ground like horseshoes.

The eerie laughter appeared on another street, yet this street was already littered with corpses.

A monster kicked a Test Specimen’s corpse, and a trembling young girl emerged.

The monster eyed her silently, lifting its scythe slightly.

’Every young girl is a potential future Rich Lady seed. You can kill, but don’t affect my grand plans.’

A cold voice suddenly rang in the monster’s head.

The next second, the monster let out a painful roar, vanishing in a Sound Burst, as the buildings on both sides of the streets were instantly shredded, like cut by an invisible blade.

The monster, after who knows how many Test Specimens killed, finally met its opponents. Four Super Mechanical Ninjas blocked its path.

Name: Super Mechanical Samurai

Category: Killing Machine

Manufacturer: Marubeni Global Security, Balance Technology

Quality: Tier 2

Level: 50

Mechanical Energy: 1100000

Blood Volume: 200000

Module...

The monster had no patience to finish reading the opponent’s System Panel. Its arm swiftly transformed, turning into a scythe formed by two Constructs, and wreaked havoc, as crisscrossed fissures started appearing in the next moment.

”Squee?”

Unexpectedly to the monster, some Construct abilities did not work on the opponent, such as the critical slashes of Scythe Dance and the Instantaneous Ten Slashes of Moon Defect.

This is the biggest drawback of Constructs; its vast array of abilities is ineffective against machines.

The next moment, a Super Mechanical Samurai drew two Samurai Swords, one long and one short. The long sword, nearly three meters, was an Electromagnetic Greatsword, while the short one was a crimson Energy Blade.

Various combat data began to appear in the Combat Prosthetic Eye.

In an instant, with a flash of blades, the Super Mechanical Samurai, driven by top-notch Combat Chip maneuvering, engaged the monster in combat.

Both sides employed an offensive-only strategy. When the Electromagnetic Greatsword struck the monster, a massive amount of metal crumbled and shattered. The monster turned, and Mobius erupted, swirling around the four Mechanical Samurai, crazily slicing away tens of thousands of blood volume incessantly.

The battle lasted for a full 20 minutes and finally ended with the monster claiming victory after beheading the last opponent.

The fight destroyed four districts.

However, the monster also paid a hefty price, with a large number of metal cells splitting to cover the holes all over its body, and the reconstruction of the Dual Alloy Inner Skeleton plummeting all the way down to 170%, meaning Mr. G now had only one and a half lives left.

At the same level, Corporate Warriors and Super Mechanical Samurai have similar combat power; in some aspects, Corporate Warriors might even be stronger.

However, when dealing with different species, the Constructs behave entirely differently.

”You might as well return to me now.”

The monster’s hand suddenly grabbed a metallic face, and as metal groaned under pressure, cracks started appearing, and in the next moment, the features crumbled, revealing the dead-fish metallic face of Gao Gong once more.

With a thought, all Constructs returned to their places, and Gao Gong once again transformed into Mr. G.

”Really, I can’t let my guard down for even a moment. A slight lapse, and the malevolent will of the Construct could occupy the host, truly terrifying.”
