Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 501: Chapter 35: Berserk Experiment

Balance Technology, a massive biological laboratory.

Bodies soaked in Biological Chambers, which are exclusive technology of Balance Technology, boast recovery speeds a hundred times faster than ordinary Nutrition Chambers.

If there were a player panel, you could see that these Biological Chambers are all equipped with Tier 2-Excellent equipment, and it is rare recovery-type equipment, with an HP recovery rate of 1000 points per second.

Its only drawback is probably that it cannot be carried around.

From the appearance, the Biological Chamber looks more like the stomach of a giant biological being, currently filled with various pipes, some biological and some mechanical, surrounded by dense data display screens with biological data jumping madly.

With such powerful recovery capabilities, what the Biological Chamber does most is biological experimentation.

At this moment, a shadowy figure inside the Biological Chamber is transforming, with terrifying waves of Biological Energy rising higher and higher, already breaking through a million on the display screen and still climbing.

”Is he Hao Jie? That experiment subject with a shattered Sports System, no, a Super Corporate Warrior?”

A scientist in a white coat glanced at Han Tong and quickly changed his phrasing.

But the next moment, without turning his head, Han Tong’s hand swiftly clamped over and with a ’bang’, crushed the other’s head, blood and brains splattering.

The surrounding scientists twitched slightly at the corner of their eyes but said nothing.

”Keep him away from me for the next while, or every time I see him will be the last.”

With the functionality of the ’Genetic Space’, any NPC below level 30, once recorded in the genome, can be resurrected at any time.

So theoretically, this ’every time I see him will be the last’ punishment method is feasible.

After a while, the Biological Chamber slowly opened, and through the thick fog emerged a strong man as tall as Han Tong, who ran up to embrace him fiercely.

”How do you feel?”

”Better than I could have imagined!”

Hao Jie, the second strongest in the Throne Department Liangzhou Branch, nicknamed, Destroyer.

If Liang Tong had four arms, then Hao Jie’s two arms were as thick as four regular arms, making him appear bulky despite his three-meter tall frame.

However, this is the source of his formidable Power, as he once punched through a Mechanical Fortress.

This level of Strong, yet due to a dangerous experiment, he became completely paralyzed.

If it were just for himself, Han Tong might not have been so proactive, yet for Hao Jie, he unceremoniously took the first modification slot, having Gao Gong fully restore him.

”Minister Han, Captain Hao still needs a full-body check-up, just as a precaution, because some Black Market Prosthetic Doctors might have done something inside the patient.”

”With their surgical skills, even if they did something, could you really detect it?” Han Tong sneered.

However, though he spoke dismissively, Han Tong still let Hao Jie follow them for the check-up, because safety came first.

”Haha, after my check-up, let’s have a drink together,” Hao Jie waved, laughing heartily.

”I haven’t even thanked that Prosthetic Doctor yet.”

”No need for thanks,” remembering how he hit a wall in front of that Mr. G, Han Tong couldn’t help but frown.

This first strongman of the branch actually met with a closed door, more than once.

What an utter humiliation!

’When the HQ HR arrives, let’s see how you keep that attitude!’ Han Tong thought vexedly.

Speak of Cao Cao, and Cao Cao appears, a message suddenly came into Han Tong’s communication device, someone from HQ arrived.

”Why is it her!?”

Seeing the employee number of the HQ arrival, Han Tong’s face suddenly turned gloomy.

...

”So you’re saying you also felt something off.”

Zone 104, Matsumoto Tetsu first verified Ah Q’s employee card, then searched the employee database to confirm the identity before utterly trusting it.

”Yeah,” Ah Q smiled bitterly, ”The one inside the corporation keeps contacting me, making it impossible not to feel that way.”

These words are sincere; ever since that mysterious NPC appeared, corporate memories have been reawakened, using unknown methods.

Your perspective changes with experience, and after feeling the grind, Ah Q couldn’t help but empathize a little.

If the other were an outsider, Matsumoto Tetsu would perhaps report immediately, but as it was someone ’inside’, things were different, and he sighed.

”So that’s how it is.”

”I have a question,” Ah Q asked a question he had been curious about for a long time before coming.

”You’re also a corporate employee, how can you maintain your memory of the corporation?”

Matsumoto Tetsu was silent for a while, then replied, ”I’m in the Research Department.”

”So what?”

”Do you remember the life division agreement we signed when joining?”

”Of course, I just don’t know which idiot thought of that idea.”

”That idiot is us in the Research Department,” Matsumoto Tetsu breathed out, ”To be precise, that person is me.”

”...”

Your perspective changes with experience, and after being affected by an experiment and killed off once, Matsumoto Tetsu’s thoughts had also somewhat shifted.

As a researcher, he understood the workings of the ’Genetic Space’.

All your neural structures and circuits are bound to this resurrection machine; once you die, it kicks in, copying the ’thoughts’ operating before your death into a new body.

Although the revived personality and memories mostly remain, even minor differences wouldn’t be noticed by the individual.

Nevertheless, he ultimately ’died.’

Meeting someone similar, Matsumoto Tetsu opened up, sharing what he knew.

All in Liangzhou City is actually about the biological signal experiments.

The biggest sponsor of the experiment is the military giant ’Marubeni Global Security’.

And their goal is to create biologically directed Super Mechanical Warriors.

The higher the level of Mechanical Warrior, the stronger the AI needed, and equally, the resistance force too, many military corporations’ hard-made Super Mechanical Soldiers often just up and leave unexpectedly.

Sometimes not just one leaves but taking along all the Mechanical Species.

And once they reach General Cybertron’s territory, even the Super Corporations dare not provoke the Planet Host.

Therefore, Marubeni Security collaborates with Balance Technology to jointly develop a ’biological controlled’ Super Mechanical Samurai.

Its fully biomimetic components allow it to quickly accept bio-signals and develop a ’soul.’

When the combat ends, as long as the bio-signal is cut off, the Super Mechanical Samurai would immediately shut down, reducing the risk of a ’mechanical rebellion.’

However, it is easier said than done.

To speak of nothing else, achieving 100% biomimetic human components has only been accomplished by a few major bionic giants.

And simulating and inputting bio-signals are even more challenging than reaching 100% bionics.

In this context, the research department started exploring various plans, like converting the bio-signals of an entire city’s population or setting up a bio zone to simulate Radiation Beast signals; such intense signal conversion helps rapidly birth advanced biological souls...

His proposal was the life division agreement, aimed at researching ’memory’, as memory stems from neural structures; theoretically meaning, no method can fully erase memory.

However, the purpose of technology is to overthrow theory.

This is the truth behind the ’life division agreement.’

Through countless technical experiments, fabricate a method that completely addresses bodily memory.

Other than the members of the research department, all Balance Technology staff are experiment subjects.

”Over ten million living individuals in Liangzhou are experiment subjects, company employees are key subjects, and those Throne Department monsters are also Biotechnology experiment subjects.”

Ah Q couldn’t help but twitch at the corners of his eyes.

”Is there anything left that isn’t an experiment subject?”

”I thought we in the research department were exceptions,” Matsumoto Tetsu adjusted his glasses, calmly said: ”but after experiencing sudden death, I am sure of one thing.”

”All members of our research department are also part of the experiment.”

”Meaning, without us noticing, some higher-ups have taken action against us.”

”My death wasn’t accidental!”

Ah Q first paused, then instinctively smirked as if to say, even you have your day!

However, Matsumoto Tetsu’s following words cut off his schadenfreude.

”Since we’ve been targeted, there’s only one possibility: the higher-ups are dissatisfied with the experiment’s progress.”

”In other words, this Cyber Test Field is about to enter rampage mode!”
