Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 384: Chapter 145: Steel Claw Mark III (Part 2)

Kobayashi Sogen showed no sign of embarrassment as he spotted the two brothers and waved directly at them.

The two brothers’ faces immediately turned crimson; amidst the puzzled, suspicious, angry, and hostile gazes of everyone, they gritted their teeth and stepped forward, quickly getting into a verbal conflict.

”Clan Leader, how can you betray the family’s interests!”

”I represent the family!”

”You are a Sub-human Continent person; only with the Sub-human Continent do we exist.”

”That’s why I must fight for a future for the Sub-human Continent.”

Yao Xue shook her little fan, watching the scene with a slightly somber expression. With her insight, she could see that Kobayashi Sogen was not brainwashed.

This was even more troublesome.

This meant that the Kobayashi Clan had surrendered.

Soon, Yao Xue noticed a gaze; she looked over and found it was Old Pawa, rumored to be the most powerful person in Nightless City, his strength unfathomable.

As they locked eyes, Yao Xue felt as if she were naked under the other’s gaze, entirely unguarded.

Her expression changed, and her hand closed the paper fan with a snap. In the next moment, countless red codes flashed from her skin, making her seem like a humanoid data figure, protected by layers of electronic defense walls.

”Defense of a large-scale military-grade server,” Old Pawa muttered to himself, ”I just don’t know which world-class military group is providing protection; this woman is not simple.”

”Boss, I feel that it was this woman who interfered with our operation the other night. Do you want to take her out now? I guarantee a One-hit Kill!”

Don jumped onto Old Pawa’s shoulder, saying sneakily.

”Nonsense, we’re here to negotiate, not to kill. We’re law-abiding citizens.”

Old Pawa flicked his finger at Don, laughing heartily.

At the same time, the Mechanical Mage Naga scanned the surroundings, finally fixing her gaze on Tamil, her skin implant showing a clear mocking expression.

Tamil’s face immediately darkened, the biological blade limb fluctuating at the joint.

The other night, during Yao Xue’s capture, he had faced this woman and fought, exchanging only a few moves, but he was clearly suppressed.

He wasn’t a match for this woman!

Meanwhile, the nameless boy from the ninth rank of the Powerful Gang also started looking around but did not spot Daisila’s figure.

Similar to Tamil, he too had faced Daisila the other night but was tricked by her, deceived by her scheme.

Why isn’t this wicked woman here today?

Despite the heated quarrel, in the end, the two brothers of the Kobayashi family did not return to their original seats, making the remaining three’s expressions very unpleasant.

However, Yao Xue, having crossed paths with Old Pawa secretly once, appeared even more composed, with a faint smile at the corner of her mouth.

This caused some of the negotiation executives to show surprised expressions.

The 3rd Generation Steel Claw, after sitting at the main seat, exchanged a few words with Old Pawa, then looked around, smiling:

”I heard the Sub-human Continent could raise an army of a hundred thousand Mechanical Warriors. I didn’t believe it before, but now I do.”

”Very well, upon establishing the new military institution, as the manager, I welcome each of you to join.”

The first sentence was spoken comfortably by everyone, but the second sentence was like a stone stirring up a thousand waves, causing an uproar, and gunfire even erupted from an unknown direction.

However, after a peculiar metallic clank, a shriveled bullet fell from nowhere, landing on the table successfully.

On Old Pawa’s shoulder, Don, holding a pocket-sized sniper rifle, looked at Old Pawa with a serious expression.

Old Pawa shook his head; today was not a day for killing, stirring up collective anger would be unwise.

Yet in the eyes of others, including those super mercenaries, clear surprise was evident.

Miyamoto Tenzang, Celestial Eagle King, and Xiaoi Gui, all believed that with focused attention, slicing a bullet with a blade was doable.

But to shoot a bullet in such chaos, with a single random shot, hitting a bullet, was somewhat exaggerated.

”The miniature human project of the assassination group, huh.”

Miyamoto Tenzang, unlike the other two, even when joining a world-class military group, had entered the assassination unit.

So he knew secrets unknown to other mercenaries, like this miniature human project.

This project could trace back to an ancient large-scale genetic engineering initiative, a relic excavated by the assassination group and refined into the miniature human assassin project.

The body only the size of a human thumb, yet possessing ten times the strength, vision, and speed of an adult, they were born assassins.

However, the ’miniature human assassin’ had a low yield, he hadn’t expected to encounter one here.

Facing the assassin’s gunfire, the expression of the 3rd Generation Steel Claw immediately darkened.

In the next instant, the scene became quiet, and a buzzing sound arose, like bees beating their wings, with an increasing trend.

It wasn’t that the arrogant modified warriors were unwilling to speak, but their prosthetic bodies and modified parts were feeling distinctly uncontrollable.

All the warriors were suppressing the turmoil within their bodies.

This move, even the three super mercenaries, changed their expressions.

This ability to control a wide-range weapon system single-handedly was a technique they had only seen from a Super AI.

The military contractors possessing a Super AI were all first-class world military groups.

”Hey hey, old man, what is this!?” Don exclaimed in surprise.

”Haha, every generation has its talent, getting old,” Old Pawa replied cheerfully, then stopped talking.

Yet the 3rd Generation Steel Claw’s expression turned coldly severe, staring fiercely in the direction of the Yao family.

Yao Xue wore a faint smile, lightly swaying the paper fan in her hand, and with each sway, a large number of red codes overflowed, blocking the impact from this big shot.

Beside her, a mechanical girl holding a blade had already started snoring on the spot.

”The computational power of the server you secretly used must have its limits, right?” the 3rd Generation Steel Claw sneered coldly, ”Aren’t you afraid of the military group’s AI catching you, implicating your family members?”

”Well, let’s see your skills then. If you truly are a Super AI, then not to mention one Yao family member, even the lives of all my Yao family can be entrusted to you.”

If ranked by level, a Super AI would be at least level 50, and it must be a large-scale AI; one or two data processing centers couldn’t contain its computational power.

Yet the 3rd Generation Steel Claw had not reached that step.

”Boss, can you do it?” Don asked in a low voice.

”Don’t talk nonsense.”

Yao Xue thought for a moment and said, ”I believe you’ve come with the sincerity of the Illusionary Union, and we too are inclined to cooperate with you, but before discussing the contract, you ought to show your sincerity.”

”Sincerity? Patriarch Yao doesn’t think we’re supposed to bring gifts to negotiate, does he?” Boss Hong laughed heartily.

”Of course not, it’s quite simple actually; your side believes in its strength, able to solve all problems with force, so why not have a match,” Yao Xue added with a smile: ”Didn’t you bring so many experts here with that intent?”

”How do we compete, with our dozen people against your few thousand?” a higher-up retorted.

”Of course not, Lord Mechanic wouldn’t allow us to do so. Let’s go one-on-one; your side sends one person, and our side sends one person until one side completely concedes.”

”You have several thousand people!” another higher-up sneered.

”What, not willing?” Yao Xue taunted.

At this moment, the Mechanical Mage Naga behind Old Pawa lowered her head, faintly saying, ”Boss, this woman is stalling for time; a small squad is leaving the Sub-human Continent now.”

Old Pawa turned to look at the 3rd Generation Steel Claw, having surely heard Naga’s words as well.

The 3rd Generation Steel Claw thought for a moment and decided.

”Alright! Let’s do it this way!”

’Seems the other side has calculated to this step as well,’ Yao Xue’s smile remained unchanged, though a trace of unease flashed through her mind.

”Then who do you plan to send?”

”Kiddo, it’s your turn now.”

Xiao Yu groggily woke up, wiping the corner of her mouth.

”Hmm? Have we eaten yet? Boss, I want diesel over rice.”
