Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 363: Chapter 132: Mechanic (Part 1)

’The hope for transformation still relies on Fucheng Island.’

’Dr. Rong is researching mechanical transformation, Dong Gang is focusing on neural connections, but we still need a biologist to study biological transformation for me.’

When players reach higher levels, they will find that leveling up is not the hardest part; the hardest part is all kinds of technological modifications.

It requires grinding countless quests for faction reputation to gain modifications.

What’s even more frustrating is that what they give you are mostly second-rate products. Who says NPCs can’t be sneaky?

’As for the direction of transformation, whichever is developed first among the Blue Blood People, Fiber Bundle Life, or Carbon-Based Fluid Creatures, we’ll use that one.’

Inside the military machine, Gao Gong was comfortably lying on a chair, resting with his head in his arms.

Beside him, the AI of the military machine, ’Tank Loli,’ was curiously examining the ’Mechanical Splitting Greatsword.’ On this sword, it sensed the presence of a familiar kind.

”Is it also a mechanical lifeform?”

”It’s a sword life,” Gao Gong casually said.

The surface of the Mechanical Splitting Greatsword began to transform, an array of energy nozzles flipped out from one side of the blade, and with a flash of the sword light, it slashed at Gao Gong’s neck.

’Tank Loli’s mouth hung wide open.

Gao Gong’s head fell off and rolled several times on the ground.

”Just a joke, don’t get excited, you are a sword life, I’m also a sword life; in the end, don’t we both have to become as one with our swords?”

Though the head fell, the mouth kept talking.

The Mechanical Splitting Greatsword ’hmphed’ coldly, and the sword hilt started transforming into a long claw, grabbing Gao Gong’s head and reinstalling it.

”Your transformation is your business, but why have you even engaged a tsundere personality? That’s not a good thing. Don’t forget, only the rich ladies can afford to be tsundere. We, as little wolfdogs, focus on the art of playing hard to get.”

The Mechanical Splitting Greatsword ignored Gao Gong and turned towards ’Tank Little Loli,’ staring for a few seconds before starting to transform again. Numerous mechanical spines, mechanical skeletons, and even a prosthetic eye popped out. Moments later, a ’Tank Little Shota’ emerged.

”Oh~~ so you really are just like us!!!”

Number One Loli got excited, and moments later, the holographic projections of two other Hidden Guard Machines also rushed over, vying to play with this little Shota.

’Could it be that under deep transformation, our xp changes too? The assimilation is really high, huh,’ Gao Gong glanced over, thinking to himself.

The reason he transformed his mechanical body into a sword was not that he wanted to switch careers to become a swordsman, but just that once the mechanical body separates from the organisms, the rejection reaches a level he can tolerate.

On the other side, Pupil, Collider, and Chapai exchanged glances from time to time, and eventually, it was Pupil who spoke up.

”I trust you have discerned that we are not your enemies, so we can truly communicate.”

”Communicate, are you referring to one word or two characters?”

Pupil was stunned for three seconds before reacting, blushing intensely, while Chapai couldn’t help but snicker, only to be glared at fiercely.

Gao Gong shrugged: ”If you’re planning to use me to trace back to a certain lady, I advise you not to entertain such thoughts. You just saw what happened to those who messed with me.”

”But if you only want to know the whereabouts of your Minister Aramaki, I could do you a little favor, provided you collaborate with me.”

The three visibly perked up, and Collider couldn’t help but ask: ”How would we collaborate?”

”At some moments, just showing your Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division identity would suffice,” Gao Gong said just this, then closed his eyes to rest.

Chapai’s electronic eye flashed, instantly pulling the three into a secure communication channel.

’What does he mean?’ Collider asked.

’The whereabouts of Minister Aramaki. Does that imply the Minister isn’t dead?!’ Pupil’s tone was filled with excitement.

’Or maybe it’s just the Minister’s corpse,’ Chapai quipped with dark humor, only to be fiercely glared at by the other two.

’Probe further, Pupil, use your few attractive qualities to squeeze out more intel,’ Collider urged.

’Is your setup genuine?’ Chapai added hurriedly upon seeing Pupil’s glare: ’I mean, keep saying nice words, don’t use the tone you use on us; be gentle, don’t make the atmosphere so tense.’

Pupil pondered for a moment and asked seriously, ”I require concrete information, tell me immediately! Otherwise, I will use Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division’s authority to report you to Mechanic, barring you from entering the Nightless City!”

The other two immediately collapsed in exasperation. Is this your idea of being gentle?

Gao Gong opened one eye, ”That’s actually not a bad idea. You’ve probably guessed I’m planning on causing trouble in the Nightless City, but sorry, you’re too late.”

”What do you mean?”

”No need for you to report. Mechanic is here!”

In the next moment, the three Tank Lolis suddenly crouched down with heads in arms, their mouths making ’wu wu’ sounds.

”Don’t hit me!”

”I surrender! I surrender!”

”Captain Suzi, where are you?”

Gao Gong looked out the window, where the sky was shrouded in rolling dark clouds, thundering with flashes of lightning. On closer inspection, those dark clouds and lightning were mechanical eyeliner and energy beams.

”What powerful mechanical forces! Level 4, right?”

Collider was visibly shocked. How could a mechanical main brain that merely controlled a light unmanned military legion possess such powerful mechanical energy?

According to the Mother City’s standards, Mechanical Cities are classified into five levels: Level 1 (Defense Level), Level 2 (Slaughter Level), Level 3 (Mechanical Level), Level 4 (Space Level), Level 5 (Quasi-Planet Level).

Defense Level refers to possessing military strength to defend against ordinary enemies, where ’ordinary enemies’ generally refer to Rebel Army.

Slaughter Level possesses large-scale destructive weapons like nuclear bombs, super viruses, and satellite guidance.

Most Mechanical Cities are at Level 3, where the Mechanical Level signifies the ability to strike other mechanical systems, like Mechanical Cities of the same level.

Placed in ancient times, it is the power to completely conquer a country.

Only Level 4 and Level 5 are rare; Level 4 refers to having the ability for outer space combat, and Level 5 is global firepower, capable of attacking any corner of this planet with one’s defensive power alone.

And theoretically, Level 4 and Level 5 Mechanical Cities have the potential to become a New Mother City.

Pupil was also clearly surprised.

The feeling had changed.

The Mechanic in front of them was more powerful, more aggressive.

”Hidden Guard, activate the defense system!”

”Unable to activate.”

”My body surface is being penetrated, ugh, it feels uncomfortable.”

”There are lots of insects crawling.”

Gao Gong also stood up with a serious expression, extending his palm, and in the next moment, the Mechanical Splitting Greatsword shot directly into his hand, while Neuronal Armor surged from the sword hilt, covering his entire body with no gaps.

”I feel something very uncomfortable from the genetic level, probably nanoweapons.”

With those words, the three’s expressions changed, for even in the Mother City, nanoweapons are considered top-tier existences.

nanometer is one billionth of a meter, and once something at this level is developed, 99% of Level 2 civilization’s defenses can’t stop it.

Even armor without any gaps is no exception; it can penetrate directly through molecular gaps, entering the human micro-level.

[You are suffering from nanomolecular invasion, your sports system is being controlled: 5%, 10%, 20%, 25%... ]

[You are suffering from nanomolecular invasion, your circulatory system is being controlled: 5%, 10%... ]

[You are suffering from nanomolecular invasion, your endocrine system is being controlled: 20%, 30%... ]

Gao Gong took a deep breath and exhaled, expelling cold air from his mouth, which settled on the ground to form a layer of ice.

”Ah, it’s so cold! So cold! So cold!”

A Tank Loli shouted out in coldness.

The cold air quickly spread, extending directly to the console, causing many systems to fail instantly.

”What are you doing?” Pupil exclaimed.

”He’s covering himself with low-temperature ionic gas, so even if nanomolecules enter the cellular layer, they are likely to be frozen.”

Seeing the two didn’t understand, the Collider explained directly, ”You might as well think he dropped a nuclear bomb inside his body.”

Under the ’Thunderstorm Clouds,’ Gao Gong turned around, and his eyeballs gradually froze, eventually transforming into a super ice man.

S-Level Talent ’Flesh Carpet’ + S-Level Talent ’Flesh Fusion’

Gao Gong created an ultra-micro nuclear winter.

In the next moment, the percentage of various human body systems being controlled began to rapidly decline.

”Be careful!”

Chapai exclaimed, first noticing something amiss, flipped his eyes, directly abandoning his flesh and forming a special phantom opposite his corporeal form.

This is his superpower—virtual thinking, the ability to think without relying on any physical existence.

Often, he first enters this state before connecting to a virtual machine, enjoying without worrying about kidney deficiency.

But the other two did not have this capability.

Pupil was controlled instantly, unable to move.

And the Collider roared, directly bursting out, with memory metal like muscles beginning to writhe quickly, even glowing and heating due to friction, producing strong airflow—this is his trump card—Berserker Form.

In this form, all his attributes multiply, and damaged parts heal under memory metal’s influence, absolutely seamless seed bursts.

He can even burst once, twice, thrice, four times.

Each burst is an overall enhancement.

Thus, he’s known as the second-best in the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division.

Yet under nanomolecules’ effect, the speed of steel muscles grew slower until completely frozen, only heat continued to leak from his body, carrying a scorched smell.

”You’ve controlled everything you can control, so shouldn’t you reveal yourself now?”

Gao Gong spoke indifferently, suddenly exhaling cold air; in the next instant, the Mechanical Splitting Greatsword was covered in a layer of ice, freezing the penetrating nanoparticles.

This image, Frostmourne? No, Machine Woe!

Machine Split, also known as Machine Woe, truly earned its name.

”If you don’t come, I’ll leave now.”

”You think you can leave?” A cold voice echoed.

”What do you think?”

Gao Gong held the sword with both hands, suddenly thrusting downward, instantly freezing the entire Hidden Guard Machine.

And the carbon atom reactor, which had filled with energy through the Radiation Field, was depleted by half in an instant.

At the same time, a terrifying aura began to cultivate on Gao Gong’s body.

In dual perfect state, I haven’t opened up yet!
