Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 370: Chapter 137: Villains Assemble (Part 2)

”You should be grateful that you don’t have any organs to sell,” Hei Bing No. 2 sneered, then reacted, ”Don’t you have a wife? Oh right, your wife works there.”

”Yeah, I’m going to pick up my wife from work,” Boss explained.

”Bullshit! You pick me up, why don’t I know? Damn, sleeping with me doesn’t pay, but you’re generous with other women and end up getting robbed. Why don’t you just die!”

A tattoo-covered, middle-aged blonde woman walked out, wearing only a bra.

”Where’s your underwear?”

”Don’t know which pervert bit it off yesterday.”

Seeing this, Hei Bing No. 2 could only chant silently to himself, ’Seen without mosaic, heart with mosaic’.

”Yo, isn’t this No. 2 my little brother? You always take care of my dead husband’s business. When will you take care of sister’s business? I’ll give you a 20% discount. Or do you modified humans not have that module installed? Sister has one, although it’s secondhand, but the effect is really good. Tried it myself, lasts long, powerful effect, low power consumption. Want me to give it to you?”

Hei Bing No. 2 chuckled, ”I can understand the first two, but how do you know it consumes less power?”

The boss lady snorted coldly and turned on the holographic TV.

The boss, skinny and monkey-faced, blushed and coughed: ”Don’t pry into the private matters between husband and wife.”

Hei Bing No. 2 sighed, pocketed the bullets, and prepared to leave, feeling that if this went on, it was uncertain if he could continue the game; he’d be ruined before playing.

”Wait, wait,” the boss called Hei Bing No. 2, sneakily looked around, and whispered, ”I heard you’re from Nightless City?”

Hei Bing No. 2 was instantly alert: ”Why do you ask?”

”I heard you have connections over there.”

”Sort of, know some friends.”

”No, I mean, I heard you have some ’channels’!”

Hei Bing No. 2 took two steps back, scanning the other party up and down.

Honestly, his account got hung, equipment stripped, and no hope of completing tasks these past days.

But it’s not all without gain.

For example, he successfully unlocked a ’side job’, scalper.

Which is selling Crime City’s specialties, like cracked military prosthetics, one-time chips, at a markup to Nightless City—into the hands of player buddies.

Precisely because he made a fortune as a scalper, he could upgrade, clear mobs, and return to the top group.

”Hehe, I have some goods that I want to sell through you. Of course, I’ll give you a good price.”

Hei Bing No. 2 fell silent.

Meanwhile, the news was broadcasting a new headline.

No doubt, here there’s no news except crime news.

”According to the latest news, the new crime organization ’Evil Jade Clan’ has claimed responsibility for the Permanent Mansion bombing. This new organization has committed the most crimes and behaves the most arrogantly over the recent period, committing over a hundred different crimes in less than half a month.”

”From the current information, ’Evil Jade Clan’ has seven members, consisting of Scissorhand, Mortar, Hacker, Fire Starter, Liu Dehua, Yanzi, and Debt Collector.”

”Each of these seven members is a notorious crime star.”

”Scissorhand, a super pervert who loves Lingchi enemies. Any enemy falling into her hands gets live-streamed Lingchi—extremely bloody and violent. What’s scarier is, every time she’s killing, she screams crazily, ’No mosaic, no mosaic hahaha’. At present, we can’t figure out what this ’mosaic’ is as a crime tool.”

Another player criminal.

Hei Bing No. 2 glanced over.

”Mortar, famous for two raging gorilla arms, reportedly voluntarily infected with cyber psychosis, randomly killing people on streets. According to our intel, when he’s sane, he also says incomprehensible things like ’How great is to be infected and AFK, can auto-upgrade, anyway I have homework to finish, online time is limited.’”

”So far, about 300 ordinary people have died at this guy’s hands, earning the nickname, Street Cleansing Tiger.”

Definitely a player, a student player at that.

”Third is Hacker, the only network expert in Evil Jade Clan, who hacked enterprise networks over a dozen times, stealing unknown amounts of internal data. His favorite is remotely hacking people’s brains, and randomly blasting them.”

”Fourth is Fire Starter, a Biological Mutant, a walking fire scene, who has caused up to 153 fires.”

”Fifth is Liu Dehua, a master betrayer proficient in disguise, and has betrayed 36 gangs, enterprises, and organizations. He also has the highest bounty in the clan.”

”Sixth is Yanzi...”

”Hey, hey, don’t just stand there, how do you find my idea? I give you ten-eight, giving you 20% commission.”

”No deal,” Hei Bing No. 2 extended his hand, ”At least split it fifty-fifty!”

”Damn, why don’t you just rob!”

”No deal, I’m leaving.”

”Deal, deal, come, come, wife, take him to the secret chamber.”

The boss gave the boss lady a look, and she reluctantly stood up.

”Making business is troublesome for you. Unlike me, I just lie down and it’s done.”

’How come fifty-fifty?’ the boss lady sent a message.

’Do business with him twice, then kick him out, we’ll do it ourselves.’

A hidden door lifted, and the trio walked in.

Meanwhile, the news was just broadcasting the last criminal.

”Debt Collector, forces people to sign huge debts, then collects them through various means, including but not limited to extortion, robbery, brainwashing, murder, and torture.”

”The latest news is that tonight, ’Evil Jade Clan’ plans to bomb Twin Tower, the tallest building in the city. Several major crime organizations—excuse me for the slip, it’s security-maintenance organizations—have announced they will protect Twin Tower and defeat this new crime organization’s plot.”

”Two guests, any thoughts?” the host asked.

”We don’t doubt this new organization’s fighting power, but breaching Twin Tower requires plenty of heavy weapons. How does Evil Jade Clan handle this? As far as I know, they’ve always gone with the small and elite crime route. Old Xing, what’s your take, knowing you were a renowned terrorist here before imprisonment.”

”In my view...”

”Look, these are our goods, what do you think?”

In the secret chamber, the boss pointed proudly at a row of rocket launchers.

”Where did you get such serious weapons?” Hei Bing No. 2 exclaimed. By Crime City’s style, it’s impossible to have such legit business without modification.

”If you can’t say a plausible source, I’m not doing it, too risky.”

”Hehe, quietly collected them, said to be a bankrupt boss’s debt collateral. Got ahead, bribed the warehouse keeper, rest assured, all procedures legal, relax, that debt collector is dead—”

’Bang’

Hei Bing No. 2 took a quick step forward, two Desert Eagles slid from his cuffs, one aimed at the boss’s forehead, the other at the gap in the Mechanical Body, fired madly.

The boss was taken out in one wave.

”You, you—”

The boss lady stunned, quickly tried to escape, but was shot in the calf, knocked to the ground.

”Sob, sob, don’t, don’t kill me. I can give you—”

Hei Bing No. 2 emotionlessly stepped forward, stomped on her back, unloaded the entire clip.

”You’re late,” Hei Bing No. 2 wiped the blood from his face, lifted his head, speaking to the six player wanted criminals before him.

”Wow, a whole small arsenal, this time we can finally go big!”

”Heh heh.”

Hei Bing No. 2 twisted a smile, staying in this city long enough, how do you know I’m not perverted too.
