Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Chapter 1834: Chapter 988: One Ton of Explosives, Earth-Shaking Tremors (Part 2)

“Alright, got it. Old Qin, keep the car steady,” said Third Uncle.

As he spoke, he snapped the helmet onto his head, opened the sunroof, and leaned halfway out.

The car slowly descended the steep slope, reaching the lowest point at the mountain’s foot. Third Uncle drew his dagger and cut the rope tying the dead pig to the car roof.

“Bring up the bucket with the blood,” Third Uncle called down.

Someone in the car quickly passed up a bucket filled with pig blood.

Third Uncle unscrewed the lid and forcefully splashed it onto the concrete ground.

The ground was covered in fresh blood!

A pungent scent of pig blood filled the air.

Excited, the zombies behind them howled ceaselessly.

Thud!

Third Uncle tossed the empty pig blood bucket to the ground.

He hurriedly ducked back inside the car.

“Speed up! Drive faster! We only have a few minutes,” Third Uncle urged.

Old Qin, already fed up with the days of slow driving, floored the gas pedal.

Vroom!

The car accelerated to its top speed, charging towards the hill ahead.

Meanwhile, the zombies behind them swarmed to the dead pig lying on the concrete.

There were so many nuclear-radiated zombies that those behind detoured around to lick the fresh blood on the ground.

Buzzing——

A drone appeared in the air, hovering approximately fifteen meters above the ground.

“Beep beep, my love is the vast horizon…”

The drone’s loudspeaker blared out a famous song.

The booming sound lured the following zombies to rush forth.

Quickly.

Third Uncle and his companions ascended and descended three slopes, eventually spotting the Jackals’ vehicles atop a hill.

Screech——

The vehicle came to a halt.

Third Uncle got out of the car and opened up the Jackals’ car door.

“So, show me what’s happening over there,” Third Uncle said as he got in and spoke to the Jackals.

Jackals, controlling the helicopter, frowned and said to Third Uncle, “There are too many zombies; the ones behind haven’t caught up yet. It’ll likely take a while for all the zombies to reach this mountain foot.”

Xiao Jun made room for Third Uncle to sit down.

Once seated, Third Uncle looked at the footage from the drone.

He saw the place they had just driven down from, where a steady stream of zombies descended the hill into the middle of the field.

The number of zombies in the field was increasing, all swarming under the drone.

“Take your time, no rush. Try to handle all these zombies in one go,” Third Uncle said.

The loudspeaker’s sound was so loud that, even over two mountains away, they could still hear the music.

It was a good choice by Xiao Jun to choose this location, resembling a small basin where the music echoed around.

The song’s stimulation made the zombies increasingly agitated, but with the drone in the air, the zombies were utterly helpless.

Zombies from behind gradually descended into this small basin.

Jackals had placed nearly a ton of explosives in this small basin.

With so many explosives, it was enough to kill these zombies and collapse the mountain, burying them underneath.

They waited for nearly twenty minutes.

Finally, seeing no more zombies descending the hillside, suggesting most of the nuclear-radiated zombies had arrived,

Third Uncle, observing the scene, said to Jackals, “It’s about time. Detonate it.”

Agreeing it was ready, Jackals turned off the loudspeaker and raised the drone to a height of more than two hundred meters, flying it quickly towards their direction.

Meanwhile, the zombies below, losing their target, seemed disoriented and began to scatter.

Tick tock!

Xiao Jun pressed the remote control in his hand.

One second later.

Boom!

A massive explosion echoed, causing the earth to shake.

Bang bang bang!

A chain reaction, several explosions boomed consecutively.

Even those like Third Uncle, two mountains away, could feel the car body shake violently.

In the small basin where the explosion occurred,

a dense mass of zombies was blown to smithereens, then fell to the ground.

Soon after, parts of the steep mountain slopes collapsed on both sides.

Large amounts of dirt and trees tumbled down, burying the zombies beneath.

After a long while,

Third Uncle shook his head, his mind buzzing.

He got out of the car with his helmet on, taking a sharp breath upon seeing the cracked concrete road.

A couple of cracks, each a dozen centimeters wide, split across the road underfoot.

Thankfully, they weren’t where the car wheels were.

In the distance, thick smoke billowed, as if there were fires there.

The black smoke in the sky obscured part of the sunlight.

“Jackals, how much explosive did you use? Why is it so powerful?” Third Uncle asked Jackals.

This exceeded his expectations by far.

Jackals coughed awkwardly and laughed, “It’s just to ensure we handle all those zombies at once, so we don’t have to do it again. Used a bit extra, didn’t expect it to be this strong… maybe it’s due to the soil conditions there….”

Looking at the road behind them, the closer to the explosion point, the more cracked the ground was.

“Check out the situation over there,” Third Uncle said.

Jackals nodded and operated the drone to fly back.

The smoke was too thick to see clearly.

So they waited for a bit, and finally, ten minutes later, they saw the scene they had anticipated.

Both mountains were partially blown away, filling in that small basin in between.
