Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

At the moment the sun came out, many people were looking at it.

The continuous heavy rain that lasted for many days made them long for sunlight.

But what they didn’t expect was that the sun, which originally symbolized hope, dealt them a harsh blow.

Some good things, when exceeding human tolerance, can also harm people.

Sunlight symbolizes warmth, and when it becomes too much, it turns into burning.

At that moment, many people experienced temporary blindness in their eyes and hurriedly lowered their heads, crawling to places untouched by the sun.

Oil City.

Besides the personnel on duty who were still vigilant in the watchtower of the wall, everyone else was ordered by Ju Tianrui to stay indoors.

Two hours after the aurora passed.

The sun came out.

Some of them looked at the sunlight outside through the windows of the watchtower.

In an instant, their eyes were scorched by the sun and they experienced temporary blindness.

However, fortunately, they were inside the watchtower, and by squatting down immediately, they avoided the chance of their skin coming into contact with the sun.

”My eyes, they hurt so much.” A team member only looked for two seconds and his eyes felt like they had been pricked by needles, causing immense pain.

He squatted down, and tears streamed from his eyes.

They had already been informed by Ju Tianrui to be alert for abnormal situations but always did not know what these abnormal situations would be.

But at this moment, they understood.

They all avoided the sunlight, but still, three or four people, due to directly looking at the sun, experienced temporary blindness.

”Quick, go tell the Camp Commander.”

”Okay.”

One of the team members looked at the radiation protection clothing previously brought up into the watchtower, and at this moment he suddenly understood its use.

He hurriedly put it on and rushed to the central building of Oil City.

Meanwhile, Ju Tianrui, who had been awake all along, was in the conference room, watching the sudden brightness outside.

It was too bright!

The curtains were not drawn, and the sunlight pierced through the glass, shining on the floor inside.

The whole room seemed to warm up by several degrees.

Ju Tianrui thought for a moment, extending his fingertips slowly towards the sunlight.

Sss!

So hot!

”So it is the sun!” Ju Tianrui thought to himself.

Then he shouted to the others in the conference room, ”Don’t expose yourself to the sunlight, draw all the curtains, fast, fast, fast!”

At this moment, a team member who ran down from the watchtower came in wearing radiation protection clothing.

”Camp Commander, the sun outside is fierce, we can’t look directly at it, three of our brothers’ eyes were burned.”

Seeing him wearing radiation protection clothing, Ju Tianrui understood everything.

This is what Director Li warned them about, that’s why they were advised to stay indoors after the aurora and why radiation protection clothing was sent to them.

”Carry the injured brothers down, use well water for cold compresses on their eyes, and notify everyone to be cautious of sunlight, draw the curtains, and stay indoors.” Ju Tianrui instructed.

”Okay.” The team member in radiation protection clothing quickly ran out.

”Dong Tai!”

Ju Tianrui shouted loudly.

”I’m here.”

”Count how many sets of radiation protection clothing we have in total, except those placed at the watchtower, bring the rest here.” Ju Tianrui said.

”Okay.” Dong Tai nodded and then put on an explosion-proof helmet, wrapped in cloth, and walked out with his back to the sunlight.

A dozen minutes later.

Dong Tai came in with seven or eight team members, all wearing radiation protection clothing, and even sporting goggles.

”Camp Commander, apart from the eighteen sets placed at the watchtower, there are thirty sets of radiation protection clothing. In total, there are fifty-eight sets, besides, each radiation protection clothing is paired with goggles.” Dong Tai said as he walked in.

Ju Tianrui contemplated for a moment and spoke: ”It’s enough, assign one set to every duty personnel, give five extra sets, and keep the excess for emergency use.”

Dong Tai nodded, then handed over five sets of radiation protection clothing to Zuo Ruxue and the others.

At this moment, six or seven people came down from the wall, supporting team members with eyes burned by the sunlight.

After they laid them down, Zuo Ruxue quickly poured some slightly cold well water over their eyes, then soaked towels to apply on them.

”There’s no eye drops, give them an anti-inflammatory drug each to prevent infection first.” Zuo Ruxue said, taking out a medical pack.

Ju Tianrui nodded at these words, ”Alright.”

An hour later, these team members with eyes burned by the sun attempted to open their eyes.

Bloodshot, as if suffering from conjunctivitis.

Even though their eyes were still dry and swollen, at least since they didn’t stare at the sun for too long, the damage was limited. Additionally, after cold compresses, they could now open their eyes and see.

Seeing that they didn’t suffer too badly, Ju Tianrui finally breathed a sigh of relief.

”You three take a break from duty for now, I’ll have someone take over, you rest in the room and recover.” Ju Tianrui said as he noticed they could open their eyes.

”Okay, thank you, Camp Commander.” The three responded.

...

Big Camphor Tree Base.

Outside, zombies were avoiding the scorching sun.

Zombies, who naturally preferred darkness and disliked sunlight, were greatly affected by the intense solar radiation.

Their movement slowed, the previously piled-up zombies collapsed within just a dozen seconds.

The outer white skin emitted a pungent burnt smell.

They staggered away from the wall, fleeing to dark places.
