Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

The other side.

Dapao slammed on the accelerator, racing through the corridor in the Western Alliance at top speed, heading towards the West Gate.

In the car, Li Tie controlled the drone, keeping his eyes on the West Gate.

He saw a dozen people climb onto a pickup truck, which was full of passengers in the bed.

”Not good, they’ve found a vehicle and are going to escape!” Li Tie shouted to Dapao.

Hearing this, Dapao immediately floored the accelerator, speeding towards them.

Yang Tianlong thought for a moment, opened the weapon cabinet inside the car, and took out a rocket launcher, loading it.

Then, he pulled down a portable step from behind the heavy machine gun, on top of the car.

He climbed up and opened the roof again.

This car wasn’t fitted with solar panels, so the roof space was very large and had already been heavily modified beyond recognition.

With the roof opened, Yang Tianlong sat on top, holding the rocket launcher and aiming at the vehicle ahead.

”Dapao, keep the car steady, I can’t aim properly,” Yang Tianlong said after attempting to aim several times, speaking into the microphone.

Dapao glanced back and tried to stabilize the vehicle, slowing it down.

Yang Tianlong immediately took aim.

Woosh—

The trigger was pulled instantly.

The bomb shot forward, carrying sparks straight towards the pickup truck fifty meters away.

In the truck bed, people saw the bomb flying in their direction.

The bomb grew larger in their pupils.

”Turn...”

Before finishing the sentence, the bomb arrived.

Bang!

The rocket launcher bomb hit the pickup truck’s bed, flipping it over. The people in the bed were blasted into the sky like paper.

Bodies were torn apart, mingling with steel components of the vehicle, scattering into shards.

Almost every piece of the vehicle fell with blood.

The entire vehicle was disassembled, leaving no survivors.

Yang Tianlong glanced at the rocket launcher, then at the pickup truck ahead, and once more at the rocket launcher.

His eyes slightly squinted, seemingly surprised by the launcher’s power.

”Alright, let’s go meet up with the boss,” said Li Tie, giving Dapao directions for driving.

Dapao didn’t turn back immediately but drove past the overturned vehicle and then turned around at the end.

Yang Tianlong felt the rocket launcher was more thrilling than the heavy machine gun, so he came down from the step and loaded another bomb.

He climbed back up, ready to attack any enemy that appeared with another shot.

Li Yu picked up the handgun beside the person he had just killed, checking Li Gang’s wounds.

Li Gang wasn’t injured; the bullets were all blocked by the anti-explosion suit and helmet. He felt lucky to be wearing them, otherwise, he would have been dead.

The two collected guns from the places they had just captured, and Li Yu certainly remembered the gun at the container earlier.

After gathering everything, the two stood at the first target point, waiting for Li Tie and the others to arrive.

Soon, Dapao drove up in the Unimog.

The car door opened, and Li Yu tossed the guns he had collected inside.

He followed the vehicle to the next target point.

...

After a morning of clearing, they had dealt with most enemy points noted last night.

Some houses did not have any enemies, evidently having escaped to other houses.

The Western Alliance was too large, inevitably leaving some out.

During their sweeps, they occasionally cleared zombies inside some houses, those left behind from last night.

Li Yu and the others cleared them out.

They moved quickly, almost resorting to loudspeakers demanding surrender and firing the rocket launcher at those not coming out.

In the Western Alliance, some wooden houses existed, but most had collapsed and were empty.

Their method involved first targeting window blasting with the rocket launcher, then Li Yu and Li Gang went in for cleanup.

The power of the rocket launcher was such that two shots could kill most inside, leaving Li Yu and the others with little resistance.

Soon, the morning had passed.

In the storeroom of spare supplies, under the basement of the antique room.

Gan Xiong could hear occasional bombardments below, spending the morning curled up on the couch on the second underground floor.

In front of him, a ground scattered with cigarette butts.

It seemed he never stopped smoking, trying to ease the terror inside him this way.

Who were the enemies? What exactly did they want?

He didn’t know at all, facing unknown fear and the explosion sounds that came now and then, causing Gan Xiong to tremble all over, eyes bloodshot. Clearly, he hadn’t slept well last night.

...

In the car.

Li Tie pointed to a location on the map, speaking to Li Yu resting in the car, ”Brother Yu, there’s only this place left. According to Wayne’s interrogation results back then, this is one of the most fortified places within the Western Alliance.

It’s the grain depot. The exterior is made of concrete, looking like a bunker. It won’t be easy to handle.”

Upon hearing this, Li Yu nodded, ”Alright, drive us there, let’s locate the place first.”
