Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Chapter 937: Chapter 650: The Forgotten Ones (Part 2)

Just like now, access has been granted to extra staff to come inside, but cooperative personnel have not yet been allowed to seek refuge.

This inherently provides extra staff with a slightly different level of treatment.

....

Li Yu came down from the wall and saw Zuo Ruxue, Zhu Xiao, Guo Peng, and others.

He said to them, ”Everyone has worked hard. Let’s go into this greenhouse and experience it.”

Luo noticed Li Yu’s expression and agreed, ”Yes, yes, it’s terribly cold out here.”

Everyone entered the greenhouse they had built with their own hands.

The greenhouse they constructed measures approximately: 150 meters in length, 12 meters in width, and 4 meters in height.

In total, there are thirty greenhouses within the inner and outer city.

Each greenhouse is eighteen hundred square meters.

Old Qin, Ju Tianrui, and others entered the greenhouse where the ventilation system had been predetermined during the framework construction; they merely awaited completion of the sun panels before installing the ventilation equipment to save time.

Upon entering the greenhouse, they could still hear the wind howling outside, but it was somewhat warmer than outside.

At least they no longer had to tightly clutch their clothes to prevent the wind from getting inside.

Li Yu had only had a bit of porridge in the morning and was busy with the construction progress of the greenhouse until just after one o’clock, so he was feeling quite hungry.

So, without further ado, he said directly, ”From now on, you’ll stay in the greenhouse; the heating and ventilation systems will be set up in the afternoon. Uncle Qin, you can take them to the First Outer City greenhouse later.”

These extra staff members were somewhat puzzled about why they weren’t allowed to stay among the residents of the Second Outer City this time.

However, people in the Outer City could guess some of it; the base was only so big, and they had heard about the Zombie Generator. Since Li Yu was reluctant to explain, they too would not speak out for the benefit of the base.

Upon hearing Li Yu’s instructions, Old Qin quickly said, ”Alright, okay, Zhu Xiao, you and the others will follow me later.”

Li Yu looked at Xiao Qian and Xiao Liu standing in the back and said to them, ”Xiao Qian, Xiao Liu, after you have lunch, bring people to install the water and electrical systems and the ventilation system in the greenhouse. If you encounter any technical issues, you can have Xu Zhen and Lao Zhou come over to help you.”

”Oh, and make sure Li Hang and He Bing come over to help; they are quite familiar with these things too.”

Upon hearing Li Yu call them, Xiao Qian and Xiao Liu quickly replied, ”Alright, we’ll handle it later.”

Li Yu saw their faces, reddened from the cold, shook his head, and said, ”No rush, a man is as strong as steel, and rice is his bar; have your lunch before getting to work. You can’t function on an empty stomach.”

Zuo Ruxue couldn’t help but chime in from the side, ”We can help too.”

Guo Peng nodded vigorously, saying, ”Yes, yes, I used to work in renovations, doing water and electricity; I’m good at it. The base provides us with shelter, so it’s only natural we don’t just stand by. Director Li, instruct us whenever necessary, we’re ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work.”

Li Yu looked at Guo Peng in surprise; this enthusiasm was great.

Since they wanted to help, that was certainly welcome.

So he nodded and said, ”Fine, Xiao Qian, you coordinate, and if help is needed, let them assist.”

Hearing that more people would be helping, Xiao Qian was slightly pleased, believing that having more hands would make things easier.

Feeling more confident about getting the systems set up today,

he confidently told Li Yu, ”Okay. With their help, I am confident we’ll get everything done today.”

Li Yu said a few more words before leaving.

After Li Yu departed, Old Qin took Zuo Ruxue and Zhu Xiao and returned to the First Outer City.

They also helped move their belongings to the greenhouse in the First Outer City.

Each greenhouse was two thousand square meters, more than enough to accommodate these hundred-plus people.

Zuo Ruxue and the others moved their luggage into the greenhouse. Although most of the ground here was dirt, there was a small patch of cement in the center, initially intended for placing shelves and other items.

But since that hadn’t been set up yet, this area was temporarily left vacant.

The place was quite large, and they picked some spots, choosing areas in groups of threes and fives.

On the soil, there were places with accumulated snow, but some snow was slowly melting away.

The entire greenhouse, nearly two thousand square meters, seemed a bit empty with just over a hundred people in it.

Zhu Xiao chose a central spot, far enough from the ventilation and the door so that the cold wind wouldn’t rush in every time the door was opened.

The ground was somewhat damp, so they smoothed it out a bit, then took out water-resistant mats from their luggage to lay down, pitching their tents on top.

In the doomsday, survivors more or less possessed tents, which were needed for shelter when going out to scavenge for supplies, so they had some tents.

Some people had very simple tents, while others had fairly luxurious ones.

But the tents, regardless of their quality, all shared a common trait: they were sturdy.

Zuo Ruxue’s group was located in the same area as Group 7’s Li Qi.
