Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Chapter 902: Chapter 638: Rapid Enemy Slaughter! (Double-Length)

On the Unimog, Li Yu and Dapao, along with others, inquired Zhu Xiao about the situation with the bandits.

Zhu Xiao answered each question.

An hour later, Li Yu had a rough understanding of the bandit situation.

So he began to formulate a battle plan, a simple plan he thought of while asking Zhu Xiao earlier.

After explaining the plan to them, Dapao and the others found no issues with it.

Especially Yang Tianlong, when he heard about the idea of ambushing the bandits inside the truck, he strongly requested to be part of the ambush.

Seeing Yang Tianlong’s eagerness, Li Yu had no choice but to agree.

There were a total of three trucks, Dapao, Old Lv, and Xiao Jun each driving one, and inside each truck were Ju Tianrui’s people and Old Lv’s team members, with Zhu Xiao and others lying in ambush.

Zhu Xiao praised this idea and strongly requested to be part of the ambush.

Li Yu considered his injury and initially didn’t want him to join.

In response, Zhu Xiao did twenty push-ups inside the Unimog to show he was fit for the task.

Li Yu, helpless, had to agree with him.

From Big Camphor Tree Base to the destination wasn’t far; before Doomsday, the journey took only about four to five hours.

Due to road conditions, this time would need an extra one or two hours added.

Which meant they could reach there by around three in the afternoon.

According to Zhu Xiao, the bandits robbed on a highway fifteen kilometers outside Shishi.

But to be safe, just past noon, Li Yu instructed Old Lv, Dapao, Xiao Jun, Zhu Xiao, and Yang Tianlong to prepare.

The food was tied to the roof of the trucks, creating an illusion that they were so full that even the truck interiors had a surplus of food.

These three trucks drove ahead, with Li Yu and Ju Tianrui following closely two to three kilometers behind.

Communication was maintained through walkie-talkies, while drones monitored the situation from above.

Such a setup ensured thorough preparedness.

Vehicles sped along.....

.....

Meanwhile, at Big Camphor Tree Base.

Ding Jiu, Father Li, Luo, and others didn’t idle; they accelerated the construction of the greenhouse framework.

They aimed for seamless integration when Li Yu’s team returned with PC Sun panels.

The weather was getting colder.

Each morning, a thin layer of ice formed over Mountain Pond.

Many newly sprouted plants outside were hit by frost and looked worn-out.

The resilient sunflowers, however, regained their vigor as soon as noon’s sun shone on them, regardless of the cold.

Second Uncle led Song Min and others to transport machinery from a food factory to the Inner City, placing them in a pre-agreed factory area with Li Yu.

Li Hang was tasked to spare some time to adjust the circuitry here, making it more suitable for food processing.

Meanwhile, An Ya, Xiao Shi, and others were nurturing rice seedlings and new seeds.

Once the greenhouses within and outside Big Camphor Tree Base were completed, an immense amount of seeds and fertilizer would be needed.

Previously, only a few acres were cultivated indoors, but now with several dozen acres, the pressure on her was immense.

The entire base was bustling; no one was idle.

....

Time passed slowly.

Li Yu and his team drove on the highway smoothly, without any incidents.

The drone above ascended to a higher altitude, offering a broader view.

Almost every two hours, Li Tie would land the drone; he had mastered the skill of landing it precIsely at speeds of seventy kilometers per hour on top of the Unimog.

Once the drone was on the roof, Li Tie would open it, retrieve the drone, and replace its battery.

After replacing the battery twice, they finally entered the Shishi area.

Li Yu looked at a blue sign on the right, which clearly read: Shishi.

One of Zhu Xiao’s men in the electric vehicle held the driver’s walkie-talkie and reported to Li Yu: ”Director Li, it’s time to exit the highway; after exiting, it’s about 30 kilometers to where we were ambushed by the bandits last time.”

”Alright.”

At this moment, Dapao and Old Lv had already exited here.

The drone in the air was monitoring, able to zoom in to enhance view details.

After driving about another ten minutes.

The Jiangnan region is mountainous; one hill follows another.

Suddenly, Li Tie pointed at the drone screen and said to Li Yu: ”Brother, look, there are people ahead, right before Dapao and the others, at the left turn, then a right turn, and they’ll encounter them.”

”Zoom in.”

Li Tie zoomed in on the screen; due to the drone’s high altitude, the pixels weren’t high-resolution, but it was still evident that a group was standing twenty meters from the corner.

And in front of them, there were stones and horizontal trees blocking the entire road.

Seeing this scene, Li Yu quickly used the walkie-talkie to inform Old Lv and the others.

”Dapao, Old Lv, Xiao Jun, Tianlong, Zhu Xiao...get ready, there are people blocking the road at the corner ahead, prepare yourselves.”

”Roger that.”

”Roger that.”

....

Zhu Xiao, brimming with excitement, gripped his weapon tightly.

There were six people inside his truck.

They originally wanted to bring more people inside, but considering safety and other reasons, they decided not to overcrowd the truck.
