Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

On the cave side, Li Yu had everyone move the surrounding corpses further away, leaving no corpses near the cave.

Li Yu stood with his flashlight and, seeing Dapao and the others coming up, shouted loudly, ”Hurry, hurry.”

Just now, they had moved Black Snake and the man with the high-pitched voice into the cave, and Captain Luo and his two team members were also let in.

Despite the urgency, they had taken some measures to block the zombies.

One of which was to use some stones to block the cave entrance; these stones had now been moved inside the entrance and would just need to be blocked from inside later.

When it was light tomorrow, it would also be convenient to remove these stones.

Dapao and the others walked towards Li Yu, heading into the light, and when Dapao got closer, Li Yu noticed that Dapao was carrying a person on his back.

Panting heavily, Dapao said, ”Song, Song Min, when she was coming back, she ran too fast and sprained her foot, got injured.”

Li Yu nodded and said, ”Okay, go inside first. It looks like the zombies aren’t far away.”

Dapao gasped, ”Alright,” and walked towards the cave entrance.

After watching Dapao and Deng Ben enter, Lao Lv and others outside turned to Li Yu and said, ”Director Li, can we start moving the trees now?”

Li Yu nodded; just now, they had also cut down some trees, not the century-old ginkgo trees, but ordinary pine trees.

These pine trees grew quickly, and it was springtime, the season of flourishing grass and singing birds, with plenty of branches. Li Yu had Lao Lv and others cut down seven or eight trees.

They then surrounded the rocks near the cave entrance with these trees, creating some devices to obstruct the zombies.

While the effect might be limited, they could at least hinder the zombies somewhat.

These trees, wedged between the rocks and outside the cave entrance, formed a circle. If the zombies wanted to come over, they would definitely get stuck by the branches. Of course, if there were too many zombies, that might not hold true.

Li Yu helped to press a tree firmly against the rocks.

Then he clapped his hands; that should do it.

The sound of zombies was getting closer, and the stones that had been stacked at the entrance were starting to pile up.

Li Yu took one last look around and quickly dove into the cave.

Inside the cave, the light was bright. Li Gang had placed three flashlights on the cave walls, providing ample lighting inside.

Third Uncle and Lai Dongsheng were vigorously lifting a large flat stone and placing it towards the cave entrance.

This stone was flat but large in area, weighing over 500 pounds. It required six or seven people to lift it together to move it inside.

This stone had not been brought in from outside but was originally inside the cave and could now be put to good use.

Seven or eight people were swiftly stacking stones near the entrance. Everyone inside could hear the sound of zombies outside.

The stones at the entrance piled up quickly, thankfully they had prepared beforehand. Now, they just needed to stack the stones from inside the cave.

The stones they selected were all quite heavy, with the lightest one weighing over a hundred pounds.

The speed was fast; in just a few seconds, a stack of stones had grown to the height of a person.

In the night, Li Yu, wearing night vision goggles inside the cave, saw zombies approaching from dozens of meters away from the cave entrance.

But these zombies didn’t head directly towards them; instead, they rushed towards the distance on both sides of the entrance.

Those sides were the places where they had just dealt with the corpses, and it seemed that the scent of blood had attracted the zombies.

”Quicker,” Li Yu said.

He also went to lift stones and piled them up.

The higher they piled, the more difficult it became as they needed to prop up some height from below. Fortunately, with many people on their side working together, they stacked quite rapidly.

The cave entrance was narrow, allowing only two people to enter side by side. If two zombies entered, they would find it hard to knock down the stones.

Everyone was racing against time!

And the number of zombies outside the cave entrance was increasing. They had almost completely filled the entrance, leaving only a small hole about 40 centimeters in length and width.

Everyone looked around and found a reasonably fitting stone.

Just then, Li Yu saw some zombies at the entrance being attracted by the noise and slowly heading their way.

Li Yu pulled a hand grenade from his waist, pulled the pin, and threw it towards the cave entrance.

Boom~

The hand grenade exploded, blowing away the zombies that were approaching the entrance.

Li Yu immediately squatted down, and along with Third Uncle, wedged a broad stone, the one they had seen fitting, into the last gap.

Instantly, the cave entrance was sealed, fitting perfectly in size.

Inside the cave, it suddenly became much quieter.

But the distance to the zombies was still too close; the sounds from the zombies outside the entrance were still very clear.

If you listened carefully, you could even hear the zombies outside chewing on bones.

The sound of bones being gnawed, rattling and snapping, was chilling.

Lao Lv and the others were still placing suitable rocks into the gaps among the stacked stones to block any cracks.

Inside the cave.

Li Yu looked around at everyone’s condition:

Shang Xue’er was brought over by Dapao to treat Song Min’s foot injury. Every time they went out, Li Yu and the others would always carry some emergency medical supplies, just in case.

Shang Xue’er was skilled in some simple first aid techniques, as were Li Yu and Third Uncle, but Li Yu’s methods were more brute and direct, often causing some pain.
