Chapter 225: Defeating Electabuzz with Bare Hands

”Who I am is not important; what matters is that you are under arrest, Dr. Namba.”

Ash slowly and unhurriedly took out his Alliance Inspector identification.

”Alliance Inspector? Hmph, I am about to realize my dream, so I won’t just surrender. Go, Electabuzz!”

Dr. Namba took out a Pokémon, still intending to put up a desperate fight.

Just like the Pokémon of Cassidy and her partner, Electabuzz also wore a rage-inducing device on its head.

”Heh, you think you can resist with just one Electabuzz? What a joke.”

Looking at the Electabuzz, which was slightly above Gym-level, Ash didn’t plan to send out any Pokémon to battle. He rolled up his sleeves and prepared to step into the fray himself.

Dr. Namba sneered and said, ”You want to contend with a Pokémon using a human body? How arrogant. Electabuzz, show him what you’ve got!”

”Whether I can or not, you’ll find out in a moment.”

”Arrogant! Electabuzz, use Thunder Punch!”

Electabuzz bared its fangs with a ferocious expression, its right fist glowing with white Light as it swung toward Ash.

Ash blocked the attack with his elbow, neutralizing it, and simultaneously threw a punch at Electabuzz’s abdomen.

With just that single punch, Electabuzz was forced back five steps.

”What?”

Seeing Ash withstand Electabuzz’s move and even knock it back, Dr. Namba was shocked.

Ash closed the distance, leaped forward, and delivered a front kick that sent Electabuzz flying behind Dr. Namba. ”If this is all you’ve got, you have no right to talk big.”

”Damn it, the power must not be high enough!”

Dr. Namba would rather doubt his own machine than believe that Ash was not a human.

As he turned up the power on the rage-inducing device, the expression on Electabuzz’s face became even more ferocious.

”Electabuzz, use Thunder Shock!” Dr. Namba roared.

Electabuzz raised its hands, electricity surging through its body, and a bolt of yellow lightning shot out from the center of its hands.

Ash raised his hand and released an Aura shield to block the electric current.

Seeing a transparent Light Screen blocking Electabuzz’s electricity, Dr. Namba’s expression turned blank. He finally understood. ”You... you are actually a Psychic?”

”Only just realized it? Don’t you think it’s a bit late?”

Ash walked over slowly and slapped Electabuzz hard across the face.

Slap!

With just that one slap, Electabuzz was sent reeling, dazed and confused.

After being slapped three or four more times, the device on Electabuzz’s head overloaded and exploded, and Electabuzz passed out.

Seeing that the situation was dire, Dr. Namba tried to slip away, but it was too late. As soon as he opened the door, he ran into Lucario, who had finished clearing everything up.

”Lucario!” (Ash, everyone has been subdued.)

”Good. Tie that guy up too, find a submarine, and stuff everyone inside.”

After giving instructions, Ash looked at the trapped Lugia. ”I’ll let you out in a moment, but you must restrain yourself. This base is my territory now.”

Lugia nodded, feeling somewhat ashamed. ”Okay!”

To be caught so easily without any ability to resist, Lugia really wanted to find a hole to crawl into.

After the device was opened, Lugia landed softly and carefully, afraid of damaging the floor.

”Your existence has been targeted by an evil organization called Team Rockets. What are your plans for the future?” Ash asked.

”Hmm...” Lugia fell silent. She had lived in the Whirl Islands for nearly a hundred years; if she were to leave, she really had nowhere else to go.

Ash raised an eyebrow and said, ”If you really can’t think of anywhere to go, you could consider the human who battled you just now. His background is quite substantial; protecting you and your child wouldn’t be a problem.”

”My Lord, what is your relationship with that human?”

Lugia was indeed tempted. After all, Gary had already gained the following of two legendary beasts, and had even almost defeated her just a moment ago.

”He is a childhood friend of mine.”

”I can go with him, but I have a request. I hope you will agree to it, my Lord.”

”Let’s hear it.”

”I want my child to follow you, my Lord...”

”If you really want to find a Trainer for your child, you could consider the girl traveling with me. She is one of my girlfriends... hmm, you can think of it as a partner.”

Ash had been worrying about not having a chance to have the baby Lugia join Misty, and he hadn’t expected this mother to offer the opportunity herself.

Hearing the first half, a clear look of disappointment appeared in Lugia’s eyes, but the second half came as a pleasant surprise. Without thinking, she agreed: ”Okay!”

After packing the entire base into an empty capsule device, Ash drove the submarine filled with Team Rockets members and leisurely returned to the original island.

That Lugia followed closely behind the submarine.

In the end, Gary and Misty each captured a Lugia. After capturing them, both were sent to Professor Oaks Laboratory for a preliminary physical examination.

As for Ash, he gained an underwater base belonging to Team Rockets, as well as a sum of Alliance merit and a bounty.

After the Lugia incident concluded, Ash and his group returned to Red Rock Island to participate in the Whirl Islands tournament.

This tournament was still a comedy of errors just like in the original work; Ash and Misty met in the very first round of the main tournament.

Although Misty knew that Ash was competing with Totodile, she was still quite cautious and sent out her trump card, Milotic, which soundly defeated the little crocodile.

The final Champion of this tournament undoubtedly fell into Misty’s pocket.

Come to think of it, Misty’s current strength is not that of the weakling in the original work who only had a few ornamental pets. Her trump cards, Milotic, Kingdra, and Psyduck, are all solidly at the quasi-Elite level, and her others are also at Gym-level strength. Competing in a low-tier water-type tournament like the Whirl Islands can be called a dimensionality-reduction strike.

After the Whirl Islands tournament ended, Ash contacted Jasmine. Upon learning that the Ampharos, Light, had recovered and the Gym had reopened to welcome challengers, Ash decided to end his trip to the Whirl Islands and return to Olivine City.

After a thrilling flight, Ash and his group returned to Olivine City without any major mishaps.

After spending the night at the Pokémon Center, a well-rested Ash planned to head to the Gym to challenge it.

”By the way, Ash, do you know what kind of Pokémon Jasmine specializes in?” Misty asked curiously.

”Jasmine specializes in Steel-types; her main Pokémon is a Steelix,” Ash said.
