Pokemon: Reborn As Ash, I'll Conquer Every League

Chapter 220: Chapter 220: Corsola

Chapter 220: Corsola

With the support of five Psychic-type Pokémon, Ash successfully restored the damaged environment.

However, it would still take some time for those Water-type Pokémon to return to this area.

Seeing that the environment had truly been restored, the native Lugia of the Whirl Islands left with peace of mind.

After the Team Rocket Trio finished recording every Pokémon Ash had displayed today, they slipped away silently.

The reward given by the system for capturing Rayquaza was 100,000 points, 5 Master Balls, 5 Rare Candies, and two pseudo-plates of the Dragon-type and Flying-type.

The only disappointment of the trip to Pidgey Island was for Misty; the reason, naturally, was that the Corsola she wanted to capture was not on the island, so she didn’t even have a chance to try.

Fortunately, after experiencing this event, the Pidgey on Pidgey Island regained their longing for the sky, and they began flapping their wings, wanting to fly into the blue sky.

Ash’s group also continued their travels through the Whirl Islands.

After experiencing the migration event of Chinchou in a small town, they arrived at Huangyan Island.

Seeing a shop selling handicrafts, Misty exclaimed, ”Wow, look at that, how beautiful!”

Ash took a look at the pink handicrafts and said, ”These are handicrafts made from processed Corsola horns.”

”Corsola horns?” Misty looked at the handicrafts in surprise.

”This customer has a great eye. These are indeed souvenirs made from Corsola horns that have been shed. Would you like to buy one as a memento?” the shopkeeper asked with a smile.

”Corsola horns! So beautiful. I want to get you more and more—Corsola!” Misty said confidently.

”Wow, what a cute Pikachu!” the shopkeeper exclaimed upon seeing Pikachu.

Ash smiled and replied, ”Thanks for the compliment!”

Eevee said with some jealousy, ”Eevee!” (You really have no taste!)

”Pikaㄟ( ▔, ▔ )ㄏ”

”The people of Huangyan Island really like yellow Pokémon!”

”I have yellow Pokémon, too.”

Before Misty could finish her sentence, Psyduck popped out on its own.

”Waha, what a cute Psyduck!”

Seeing that wise look in its eyes, the shopkeeper became even more excited.

Apparently, a purely yellow Pokémon like Psyduck was more popular than one like Pikachu that had other colors on its body.

”Quack?”

Psyduck tilted its head in confusion, then turned and ran off in a certain direction.

Before long, Psyduck led Ash and the others to a beach.

Misty, unable to find Psyduck, said anxiously, ”Honestly, where did Psyduck run off to?”

Seeing this, Ash could only remind her, ”Misty, your Psyduck is right behind those rocks over there.”

Just as Misty looked over, Psyduck walked out from behind the rocks and pointed anxiously in a certain direction while calling out.

”Ash, what is Psyduck saying?” Misty turned to look at Ash.

”Someone is in danger over there; Psyduck wants us to save them,” Ash said.

”In danger?”

Then, the group saw a wooden house drifting on the sea, with a Corsola and a little girl on it.

”Ash, are you sure they are in danger, and not just a house floating on the sea?” Misty asked, looking at Ash with confusion.

”Misty, who would put a house adrift on the sea? Especially a wooden one...” Brock said, speechless.

”Help!”

The little girl on the wooden house saw Ash and the others and hurriedly shouted for help.

Misty finally realized and believed Psyduck, ”Eek, something terrible has happened!”

”How should we save her?” Brock asked.

Ash pulled out several coils of climbing rope and said, ”We use Pokémon, of course. Come out, Totodile, Lucario. Misty, bring out your Pokémon too.”

”Okay.” Misty nodded.

”Lucario, take the rope, jump onto the wooden house, and tie it up. Totodile, you guys hold the rope and pull it back.”

Ash briefly explained the rescue plan.

After all, since they were rescuing a stranger, Ash didn’t intend to expose his special abilities.

Lucario had sufficient speed and jumping power; it ran to the reef closest to the wooden house and leaped onto it.

Once the rope was tied, the group of Water-type Pokémon worked together and quickly pulled the wooden house back to the shore.

As soon as the wooden house was pulled back, the little girl’s family arrived.

”Thank you all so very much.”

”Thank you for saving my little sister.”

After some conversation, Ash’s group learned that the little girl’s name was Luga, and her family lived on the reef where Corsola lived. The wooden house drifting away was purely an accident.

Because a wild Corsola had run into their home and liked to use the Impact move on their family’s Corsola, eventually their family’s Corsola disappeared. Without the Corsola, the reef hardened, and their home fell into the sea, appearing before Ash’s group along the ocean current.

”This Corsola didn’t use the Impact move because it wanted to cause trouble; it was just its way of expressing affection,” Ash explained.

”Wait, you just said this Corsola is wild, which means I can capture it!”

Ever since seeing this Corsola, Misty’s attention had been entirely focused on it.

”There are other things to do before that.” Finally able to get back at Misty, Brock said with a straight face, stopping her actions.

”Before that, we need to find those Corsola first,” Luga’s father said.

”They are still on this island.”

”Okay, after I help you find them, I want to capture this wild Corsola.”

In order to capture the Corsola, Misty was going all out.

And so, Ash’s group began an operation to search the whole island for the Corsola.

Just as they were planning to go into the forest to search, they encountered the Team Rocket Trio stealing Corsola handicrafts. This time, there was no need for Ash and the others to intervene; the Team Rocket Trio got a severe beating from that wild Corsola.

After two and a half hours of searching, Ash and the others helped Luga’s family find all the missing Corsola.

The reason these Corsola had run away from home was, just as Ash had expected, that they were scared by this wild Corsola’s unique way of expressing affection.

”Alright, all the Corsola have been found. Next is the capture battle!”

Misty excitedly started the battle to capture the Corsola.

”Milotic, I’ll leave it to you. You absolutely cannot lose!”

”Milotic, use Water Gun.”

Milotic sprayed a stream of water at the Corsola.

In the face of the huge level gap, the Corsola was knocked down immediately.

However, before Misty could throw the Poké Ball, a yellow light lit up around the Corsola, and it subsequently recovered its stamina.

”Recover? Very good. My desire to capture you has become even stronger. Milotic, next use Aqua Tail!”

Seeing that the Corsola also knew the Recover move, Milotic didn’t hold back; with a powerful Aqua Tail, it struck, directly knocking the Corsola unconscious.

Misty took the opportunity to throw a Poké Ball and captured it.
