Chapter 217: A Battle Full of Martial Virtue

When they were only a few hundred meters from the ground, Ash saw a black dot approaching in the sky.

He excitedly muttered to himself, ”Finally, it’s here?”

Deoxys truly lived up to its reputation as exclusive bait for Rayquaza. Ash was stunned after seeing Rayquaza’s appearance clearly; the effect was too good, directly hooking a Shiny Rayquaza.

This wave was truly a huge profit.

”What do you mean by ’finally here’?” Misty looked at Ash with Telekinesis.

Ash shook his head, ”It’s nothing. You guys go down first. Mewtwo and I have some business to attend to.”

After speaking, he released Mewtwo, gave a few simple instructions to Pikachu and Eevee, and then followed Mewtwo as they flew up into the sky one after the other.

”???”

This strange behavior made everyone in the hot air balloon basket feel very puzzled.

But when they looked up, they were instantly stunned. They actually saw a strange black Pokémon rushing straight toward them.

”What is that thing?” Jessie looked at Misty and Brock curiously.

”How would we know?” Misty also wanted to know, but Ash hadn’t disclosed anything to her, so she didn’t know what was going on either.

However, she was certain that Ash’s earlier behavior of searching the sky was to find that black Pokémon.

Mid-air, Ash mentioned to Mewtwo, ”Mewtwo, the opponent in this battle is a bit tricky!”

”It has no divine position, and its level is only at the Secondary God tier. With Mega Evolution, it is no match for us,” Mewtwo replied calmly.

Ash and Mewtwo blocked the path of the Black Rayquaza, ”Rayquaza, I want to capture you. Come and battle me!”

”Roar!” (Human, move aside!)

Rayquaza’s gaze remained fixed on the Deoxys below Ash and the others, showing no intention of paying attention to them.

”Rayquaza, I know what you want to do. The Deoxys you sensed is my partner, so you should know our purpose. Let’s battle!”

”...”

Rayquaza was completely dumbfounded by Ash’s directness. So, you were using it as bait to fish for him?

It opened its mouth and unleashed a Draco Meteor at Ash and Mewtwo.

Seeing Rayquaza attack directly, Ash couldn’t help but curse inwardly; wild Pokémon don’t talk about martial virtue.

He immediately commanded Mewtwo to counterattack, ”Mewtwo, block it with Aura Sphere.”

While Mewtwo was forming the Aura Sphere, Ash took out two more Master Balls and shouted, ”Come out, Dragonite, Gengar!”

The two massive Super Ancient Pokémon immediately surrounded Rayquaza.

Originally, Ash wanted Mewtwo to have a 1v1 with Rayquaza, but since Rayquaza didn’t talk about martial virtue first, he had no choice but to show Rayquaza what it means to be full of martial virtue.

”Dragonite, Gengar, attack together and beat it into submission. Mewtwo, MEGA Evolution!”

As his voice fell, Ancient Dragonite and Super Ancient Gengar simultaneously used Ice Punch from the ”Farmer’s Three Punches”.

Watching the two cold-laden fists approaching, Rayquaza panicked slightly and immediately whipped up a powerful storm to protect itself.

”Mewtwo, quickly use Psychic to break its control over the storm.”

Mega Mewtwo Y unleashed its Psychic power on Rayquaza without reservation. In an instant, the storm released by Rayquaza lost control, and Dragonite and Gengar seized the opportunity to fly over and land a punch.

Ice Punch was not a STAB move for Ancient Dragonite and Gengar. Despite the type advantage, Rayquaza had been active in the ozone layer and the vacuum of space for a long time, so its resistance to cold was quite high, and it only suffered minor injuries.

However, its body plummeted straight down several hundred meters.

On Pidgey Island, as soon as Misty and the others landed, they saw the Pidgey on the island hiding under the trees, shivering, with their heads almost buried in the ground.

”They seem really scared, Meow!”

Meowth looked at those Pidgey with Telekinesis.

”Meowth, just look at the sky and you’ll know what they’re afraid of. That Dragonite and Gengar are so huge!” James’s legs were also trembling a bit.

He didn’t expect that Ash would carry such terrifying Pokémon with him.

”Hmm...”

Meowth looked up and instantly fell silent. He moved closer to Pikachu, feeling a bit scared.

”Pika?” (What are you trying to do?)

Pikachu looked at Meowth with Telekinesis.

”Pikachu, we’re friends, aren’t we? You’ll protect me, right? Meow.” Meowth hugged Pikachu’s leg and said.

He just wanted to find a safe shoulder to lean on and wait for those big guys in the sky to disperse.

As for why he didn’t hug Deoxys’s leg, it was naturally because they weren’t close, and Deoxys looked strange too; Meowth didn’t think it would be more reliable than Pikachu.

Eevee glanced at Meowth and said disdainfully, ”Eevee” (So shameless.)

”Brock, do you know what Pokémon is battling Ash?” Misty asked, looking at Brock with concern.

”I’m not sure, but looking at the battle situation, it seems Ash has the advantage. That black Pokémon should be one that’s always active in the sky. Maybe we should contact Professor Oak and ask.” Brock suggested.

”Oh, right, Professor Oak!”

Misty quickly took out her phone from her backpack and made a video call to Professor Oak.

Not long after, the call connected, but it was Tracy who appeared on the other side, ”Misty? Professor Oak is busy right now. Does Ash need something?”

”Tracy, hurry and let the Professor answer the phone. Ash is battling a mysterious black Pokémon.”

As she spoke, Misty pointed the phone’s camera toward the battlefield in the sky.

At this moment, Rayquaza’s situation was not very good; under siege from three sides, it was seriously injured.

”Gengar, use Dazzling Gleam to suppress it! Dragonite, continue with Ice Punch! Mewtwo, use Psystrike!”

Gengar flew above Rayquaza and unleashed a colorful radiance with all its might. Rayquaza closed its eyes tightly, struggling to endure this wave of damage. Just as Dragonite and Mewtwo’s moves were about to hit it, it forcibly unleashed Dragon Pulse.

Boom!

Accompanied by a deafening roar, Rayquaza plummeted straight into the sea.

Ash and the three Pokémon descended rapidly toward the spot where Rayquaza had fallen.

Just as they were about to approach the sea surface, a strong white light shot out from under the sea.
