Pokemon: Reborn As Ash, I'll Conquer Every League

Chapter 40: Chapter 40: Super Queen Gardevoir appears!

Chapter 40: Super Queen Gardevoir appears!

”Dragonite, let’s have a capture battle!”

Ash looked at the massive creature before him with fervent eyes.

Sensing the intense fighting spirit from Ash, Ancient Dragonite did not refuse.

Ash was her hope of finding a contemporary of her kind, and she had a premonition that by following this human, her strength would recover quickly, and she might even have the chance to break through racial limitations again.

That’s right, this type of Dragonite, in ancient times, had broken through the Quasi-Legendary limitation by her own ability, achieving Secondary God status; it was just that she was unlucky and never found a suitable divine position for herself.

Dragonite flapped her small wings on her back and flew from beneath the cliff to the open space in front of the lighthouse ruins, indicating that this was the battlefield she had chosen.

”Ash, are you really going to battle this big Dragonite?” Misty asked in a low voice, her tone filled with worry.

Brock and Bill also showed concerned expressions.

”Don’t worry, I never do anything I’m not confident about.”

Ash confidently threw out all his Poké Balls except for Feebas and Metapod.

The main combatants in this battle were Pikachu, Giant Onix, and Kirlia; Pidgeotto, Charmander, and the others were just there to gain experience and assist.

”Pikachu, maximum power Thunder!” ”Kirlia, use Dazzling Gleam!” ”Charmander, use Dragon Pulse!” ”Bulbasaur, use Charm, then Seed Bomb!” ”Squirtle, use Blizzard!” ”Onix, use Sandstorm!” ”Pidgeotto, use Air Slash!”

Seven Pokémon simultaneously unleashed their skills. Even though Ancient Dragonite had the idea of becoming Ash’s Pokémon, she had no intention of holding back. She could feel a deep bond between these Pokémon and Ash, and holding back would be disrespectful to their fighting spirit.

Dragonite gathered Ice-type energy in her right hand and unleashed a powerful Ice Punch, deflecting most of the damage. Only Pikachu’s and Kirlia’s moves caused some damage to Dragonite.

After all, Ancient Dragonite’s size was too massive; Pikachu’s Thunder had no chance of missing, and Kirlia’s move was super effective against Dragon-type.

”The level gap is too big. Only Pikachu, Kirlia, and Giant Onix can cause damage to Dragonite,” Brock said with a serious expression.

”If Kirlia can evolve, Ash still has a chance to win. Gardevoir is Psychic and Fairy-type...” Professor Bill analyzed.

”I believe Ash can definitely defeat Dragonite,” Misty said firmly.

”Ancient Dragonite is truly strong. In that case, let’s go all out!”

Ash flipped his hat backward, his eyes gradually becoming sharp, and a faint blue light appeared in his eyes. His Aura, Viridian Power, and Psychic power converged and erupted, all empowering the Pokémon on the field.

Under the enhancement of Aura and Psychic power, Pikachu and the others’ battlefield perception sharply increased, and their coordination gradually became more harmonious. Furthermore, their sustained combat ability also improved with the continuous support of Viridian Power.

”Kirlia, teleport Squirtle closer and use Ice Punch together. Onix, use your tail to throw Pikachu over. Pikachu, seize the opportunity to use Iron Tail.”

Kirlia placed one hand on Squirtle’s shell, and with a flash, appeared at Dragonite’s feet. The two Pokémon, one in front and one behind, unleashed Ice Punch. Pikachu, using Onix’s strength, completed a slingshot start, and a powerful Beast Slice struck Dragonite’s plump belly.

This Beast Slice made Ancient Dragonite let out a painful roar.

The sound was so loud that Ash and the others felt as if their eardrums were tearing.

Then came Dragonite’s counterattack, a mighty swing of her massive Dragon Tail.

Seeing this, Ash quickly raised an Aura Shield to block the attack for the Pokémon off the field.

All his combat-ready Pokémon were on the field. If they were hit hard by this Dragon Tail, even if they didn’t lose their combat ability, they would all be forcibly returned to their Poké Balls. At that point, he would probably have to go down himself and fight Dragonite hand-to-hand.

”How amazing! Ash actually blocked Dragonite’s attack using Psychic power!”

”This is truly eye-opening.”

Bill was also very surprised by this scene. He had heard of Psychic users before, but this was the first time he had seen one capable of contending with an Ancient Pokémon.

”Kirlia, Dazzling Gleam Encore!”

”Kirlia!!”

Kirlia erupted with unprecedented power, a strong light shone, forcing Ancient Dragonite to retreat half a step.

Just then, a blue-white evolution light emanated from Kirlia.

As the light dissipated, a graceful and elegant figure unfolded. Her original short skirt transformed into a flowing, pure white gown, and the Psychic Queen, Gardevoir, made her entrance!

[Pokémon: Gardevoir (Shiny)]

[Gender: Female]

[Level: Late Quasi-Elite]

[Abilities: Synchronize, Trace]

[Potential: Champion]

[Moves: Moonblast, Future Sight, Dream Eater, Dazzling Gleam, Misty Terrain, Trick Room, Triple Kick...]

”Evolved? Very good, Gardevoir, let’s show our bond, Mega Evolution!”

”Gardevoir!!”

Ash revealed his key stone, and the super evolution stone on Gardevoir’s chest resonated simultaneously. The key stone and super evolution stone simultaneously shot out several beams of light, which connected, and the Mega Evolution light instantly bloomed.

Gardevoir’s pure white gown transformed into black, and her Aura became even more noble and mysterious.

”Gardevoir can still evolve further?!”

Misty and the others were once again shocked by Gardevoir’s transformation. After all, the Mega Evolution system had not yet been fully researched, and Mega Evolution was only prevalent in the Kalos region. In a beginner-level region like Kanto, let alone seeing it, probably few people had even heard of it.

[Pokémon: Mega Gardevoir (Shiny)]

[Gender: Female]

[Level: Early Elite]

[Ability: Pixilate]

The chasm between Elite and Quasi-Elite was quite large. Even though Ash had laid a solid foundation for Gardevoir, she only crossed one small realm after Mega Evolution.

However, the ability change almost laid the foundation for victory in this battle.

Ash also used Aura to have Pikachu and the others retreat first, as it was Gardevoir’s turn to shine.

”Gardevoir, use Moonblast!”

Gardevoir’s eyes sharpened, and she condensed Moonblast with both hands, launching it towards Ancient Dragonite.

Ancient Dragonite, either because she hadn’t battled Mega Gardevoir before or was overly confident in her strength, opened her mouth and unleashed a powerful Dragon Pulse to meet it.

The powerful Moonblast, with its type advantage, directly shattered the Dragon Pulse and struck Dragonite’s head.

”Very good, Gardevoir, teleport to Dragonite’s head and use Dazzling Gleam to finish her!” Ash conveyed via Aura.

”Gardevoir!”

Gardevoir appeared above Dragonite’s head, placing both hands on Dragonite’s forehead, gathering energy and unleashing a pink beam of light.

Dragonite staggered a few steps, her expression showing bitter defeat.

Large in size and with thick HP, even after taking Mega Gardevoir’s Dazzling Gleam head-on, Dragonite still hadn’t lost her combat ability.

Ash tossed the Master Ball he had just pulled out, clicking his tongue, ”Still not down?”

”Gardevoir, final Ice Punch!”

Under Ash’s final command, Mega Gardevoir, while Dragonite hadn’t recovered, continuously unleashed Ice Punch on Dragonite’s large head.

After a few thumps, Ancient Dragonite’s eyes rolled back, turning into swirls.

Seeing this, Ash quickly threw the Master Ball in his hand.

Bang!

The Master Ball touched Dragonite, emitting a red capture light.

This Master Ball was obtained from the system and was much better than those low-grade ones on the market. Although it didn’t have the miraculous effect of a one-ball capture, it could pretty much guarantee a successful capture of any Pokémon that had lost consciousness.

After Dragonite was drawn in, the Master Ball began to shake.

Ash nervously stared at the Master Ball...

Thump!

Thump!

Ding-dong~

The sound of a successful capture rang out, and Ash let out a long sigh of relief.
