Pokemon: Reborn As Ash, I'll Conquer Every League

Chapter 34: Chapter 34: Conquering

Chapter 34: Conquering

”Are they your friends too?” Melanie asked curiously.

She had never seen such a unique duo before.

”No, they are notorious Team Rockets members, a group of bad guys who specialize in stealing other people’s Pokemon,” Misty explained.

”Haha, since you know how terrifying we are, why don’t you quickly hand over that Pikachu and Kirlia?” Jessie yelled.

Ash said helplessly, ”You’ve been caught by Jenny twice, and you still haven’t learned your lesson!”

”Tch, Ash, that’s just because we weren’t prepared. This time, we’re fully prepared. We’ll gladly accept your Pikachu and Kirlia. Meowth, get to work!”

”Don’t just focus on Ash’s two Pokémon; all the Pokémon here must be taken, Meow!”

Meowth pressed the red button on the remote control in his hand.

The flying robot extended a long pipe, aiming at Ash and the others, and emitted a powerful suction.

Some smaller Pokémon, facing this suction, were completely unable to resist and were sucked in as soon as the machine started.

Seeing this, Bulbasaur quickly extended its Vine Whip to pull the Oddish back from mid-air.

”These guys clearly have amazing skills, but they insist on using them for bad deeds.” Ash could only deploy an Aura barrier to block the suction.

”Bulbasaur, Bulbasaur!” (Ash, thank you!)

Bulbasaur looked at Ash gratefully.

”Bulbasaur, protect your friends. Pikachu, Kirlia, go, knock them flying.”

”Bulbasaur!”

Bulbasaur nodded heavily.

”Pika!!”

”Kirlia~~~”

Kirlia and Pikachu Teleported to Team Rockets’ flying machine. Before the Team Rocket Trio could react, Pikachu hit them with a Thunderbolt, sending them flying into the sky and paralyzing the huge flying machine.

”What a nasty feeling!”

”It’s finally quiet, but where did those guys get such a flying machine and vacuum cleaner?”

Misty couldn’t help but ponder the origin of Team Rockets’ machine.

”That suction device should be the one stolen from Cerulean City. As for this flying machine, perhaps they stole it from somewhere. In any case, it’s better to contact Jenny to handle this,” Brock said.

”Brock is half right. Some of these machines are stolen, and some are built by them from purchased materials. That Meowth’s creativity is very strong.”

To be honest, Ash really wanted to catch Meowth, but unfortunately, its intelligence already surpassed that of most humans, so catching it was impossible.

Melanie saw that Bulbasaur and Ash had clicked. ”Ash, you seem interested in that Bulbasaur. If you don’t mind, take it with you! This child shouldn’t be confined to such a small place.”

”Bulbasaur!” Bulbasaur looked at Ash, then at Melanie and the other Pokémon at her feet. For a moment, it didn’t know what to do; it couldn’t bear to part with either side.

Melanie crouched down and stroked Bulbasaur’s head, saying softly, ”It’s okay, Bulbasaur. If you leave, these children still have me, and they can’t stay here forever anyway. Sooner or later, they will leave.”

The other Pokémon understood and gave Bulbasaur a reassuring look.

”Bulbasaur, Bulbasaur!”

Feeling their intentions, Bulbasaur also made up its mind. He took a few steps back and assumed a battle stance.

Ash smiled, ”A capture battle? No problem, go, Pikachu.”

”Pika?” (Ash, are you serious?)

Pikachu looked at Ash doubtfully. This was a future partner, was it really okay to let me bully it?

”Pikachu, I believe in you.”

Ash was sure that Bulbasaur wouldn’t fight seriously. His other Pokémon either couldn’t act well enough or weren’t strong enough, so he could only let Pikachu, the master actor, go on stage.

Kirlia, Milotic (one of the two transferred earlier), and Pidgeotto were all higher level and stronger than Bulbasaur. The remaining Feebas and the oddly colored Metapod had almost no combat ability.

”Pika.” (Alright _)

Pikachu’s expression changed, and he charged at Bulbasaur fiercely.

Bulbasaur was not to be outdone, its two Vine Whips constantly lashing out at Pikachu.

”Pikachu, Quick Attack!”

Pikachu’s speed suddenly increased, and he crashed into Bulbasaur, sending it flying.

”Bulbasaur!”

Bulbasaur rolled twice, its eyes gradually turning fierce, and with a twist of its body, several Razor Leaf flew out.

”Bulbasaur’s Razor Leaf, what a powerful move!” Misty, who was watching the battle, exclaimed.

”Pikachu, use Iron Tail.”

Pikachu’s tail gathered Steel-type energy, and its entire tail was covered in white light. In just a few moves, it broke through Bulbasaur’s Razor Leaf and even smacked Bulbasaur with its tail.

Ash seized the opportunity and threw a Poké Ball at Bulbasaur. The Poké Ball accurately hit Bulbasaur, and then the device in the middle of the Poké Ball released a red light, dragging Bulbasaur inside.

Perhaps Bulbasaur had completely recognized Ash, as the Poké Ball only chimed once, completing the capture of Bulbasaur, and then steadily fell to the ground.

”I caught Bulbasaur.”

”Pika Pikachu (Kirlia~)!”

”This is the best outcome, Ash.” Melanie was also sincerely happy for Bulbasaur.

”Miss Melanie, I want to stay here in place of Bulbasaur, alright?” Brock said, getting infatuated.

”Alright, don’t stay here and interfere with her work.”

Misty decisively intervened and cut off Brock’s thoughts.

”Miss Melanie, I will take good care of Bulbasaur.”

”Then I’ll leave it to you.”

”Ding, detected host has captured Bulbasaur, received reward: one thousand points, one bottle of Overlord Essence.”

Overlord Essence: After any non-overlord Pokémon consumes it, its bloodline will be promoted to an Overlord Pokémon, its aptitude will also slightly improve, and its size, defense, HP, attack, etc., will receive certain enhancements.

This system is quite understanding!

Hearing there was a reward, Ash grinned.

Although this system had many side quests and the rewards were decent, he wasn’t really interested in grinding quests. After all, he had been reborn, and this kind of disguised labor was fine to do occasionally; there was no need to work himself to death for the system.
