Pokemon: Reborn As Ash, I'll Conquer Every League

Chapter 25: Chapter 25 The Moon Over the Mountain

Chapter 25 The Moon Over the Mountain

”You three really never learn,” Misty said, looking helplessly at the Team Rocket Trio.

”little girl, you have no right to say that!” Jessie couldn’t stand being lectured.

”You guys, you should just obediently go to jail and reflect.”

”They are?” Brock looked at Ash and Misty in confusion.

”Damn it, there’s another Ash, it’s getting harder to catch Pikachu and the shiny Kirlia,” the Team Rocket Trio thought to themselves.

”They come from an organization called Team Rockets, an evil organization that specializes in stealing other people’s Pokemon, but these three are clearly new, so they can only do some petty theft.”

Ash explained.

”Ash, what do you mean? What do you mean we’re new?”

”Exactly, Ash, if you’re so capable, let us go, and see if we can commit evil deeds.”

”That’s right, Ash, if you dare to let us go, see if we can snatch your Pikachu and Kirlia.”

The Team Rocket Trio shouted defiantly.

”They do look like newcomers,” Brock murmured, stroking his chin.

”...”

”Alright, save it, Jenny will be here soon. Pikachu, give them a little lesson with Thunderbolt first.”

Ash directly ordered Pikachu.

Pikachu’s eyes immediately changed, and then a strong electric current completely enveloped the Team Rocket Trio.

In just an instant, the Team Rocket Trio turned charred black, their eyes rolled back, and they fell stiffly to the ground, twitching uncontrollably.

After dealing with Team Rockets, Ash’s attention shifted to the Clefairy caught in a large net.

”Pikachu, use Iron Tail to get the Clefairy out.”

”Pika!”

Pikachu gathered steel-type energy in its tail and quickly swiped a few times, cutting open the large net.

”Pi”

”Clefairy”

With their restraints removed, the Clefairy regained their freedom. They excitedly tossed Pikachu high into the air, then circled around Ash and his companions to show their gratitude.

”Clefairy, long time no see, do you still recognize me?” Ash asked a particularly lively Clefairy in front of him.

”Clefairy ~” (I recognize you, you are Ash.)

”Clefairy, are you still going to continue living here?”

”Clefairy ~ Pi” (Yes, this is our second home.)

”But this place has already been discovered by bad guys. If you continue to live here, you might be caught again.”

”Pi...”

This bad news made Clefairy very disappointed.

”I’ll see if I can turn this place into a protected area and have the Alliance send people to protect you.

I know every full moon night is very important to you, but you also need to be vigilant.”

”It’s really amazing, they’re actually communicating!”

Misty watched Ash communicate with Clefairy, her face filled with envy.

”It is indeed amazing,” Brock nodded silently.

”Oh, by the way, Clefairy, I have a friend who wants to take in a Clefairy as a companion to travel with...”

Ash explained Misty’s idea of catching a Clefairy.

”Clefairy ~” (Ash’s friend? No problem.)

Clefairy nodded, then hopped into a certain passage.

Soon, she came back holding a pink Pokemon egg.

”Pi!” (Here, Ash, this child is about to hatch!)

[Pokemon: Cleffa (unhatched)]

[Gender: Female]

[Level: 0]

[Ability: Attract]

[Potential: Elite]

[Skills: Pound, Splash, Mimic, Heal Pulse...]

”Thank you, Clefairy.”

Ash took the egg and thanked her.

The potential of this egg was much higher than most Clefairy, which showed Clefairy’s extreme trust in Ash, otherwise, she wouldn’t have given such a precious egg to Ash.

He turned and solemnly handed Clefairy’s egg to Misty, ”Misty, it’s yours from now on. You must take good care of it.”

”Don’t worry, Ash, I’ll be good to it!”

Besides Water-type Pokemon, Misty’s favorite Pokemon were those that looked cute, like Clefairy.

”Pokemon eggs need special incubators and nutrient solutions. It seems we need to speed up our journey.”

Brock, who aimed to become a top breeder, was quite knowledgeable about Pokemon egg hatching.

”No need, I have ready-made incubators and nutrient solutions in my backpack.”

Ash opened his backpack and took out an incubation device and several cans of nutrient solution from it.

He had obtained these items from the Alliance using his doctor’s identity before he left. Anyway, they were deducted from his annual research funds, and now that he was traveling, it was a waste not to use these funds.

....

Jenny from Pewter City was very fast. After receiving Li Ke’s alarm, she drove a police car over.

”Mr. Ash, thank you very much for catching these Team Rockets members. Their bounty has increased since they escaped from Viridian City last time. The subsequent rewards will be sent together to the Pokémon Center in Cerulean City. At that time, you can show your Pokedex to Nurse Joy to prove your identity and claim them.”

Jenny left this message and then pulled the Team Rocket Trio towards Viridian City. The police force of the Pewter City police station was not on the same level as Viridian City. Since these three had escaped once, it was inevitable that they would escape again if confined in Pewter City, while Viridian City’s prison supervision became stricter after the incident with these three.

Hearing that Team Rockets’ bounty had increased, Ash was overjoyed. Maybe this time, he could even make Giovanni spend a lot of money.

With everything handled, and dusk approaching, Ash and his companions had no choice but to camp on Mt. Moon.

That night, Misty and Brock were fortunate enough to witness the Clefairy’s moonlight dance. And the Clefairy who gave Ash the egg also evolved into Clefable.

The next day, early morning.

When Ash and the others left, that Clefable gave each of them a Moon Stone of excellent quality.

”Thank you, if we get a chance, we’ll come back to see you again.”

The three thanked them and then set off again for Cerulean City.
