Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Chapter 297: Chapter 297: The Empress’s Plan, an Estimated Two and a Half Years

The commotion at the Martial Arts Hall was like a boulder dropped into a calm lake, sending massive waves across the entire Jing University campus.

In just one afternoon, the battle for the title of “Future Empress” settled in a way no one could have ever imagined.

Su Yingxue, once favored by countless people and hailed as the most dazzling new star of the Capital City’s younger generation, was still defeated in a single move by that mysterious mosquito even after using a Forbidden Technique to forcibly raise her power to the Seventh-Grade Realm!

Ultimately, the backlash from the Forbidden Technique caused her realm to plummet, sending her tumbling from the heavens down to the mortal realm.

And just like that, the curtain fell on a rising prodigy.

Meanwhile, Gu Yuexi and her shape-shifting Contracted Beast, the mosquito, ascended to a divine pedestal with an indisputable, crushing show of force!

The Five Stars Broken Army Medal!

Defeating a cultivator at the Peak of Fifth-Grade in a single blow!

Her Contracted Beast defeating a Pseudo-Seven Grade master in a single move!

Any one of these achievements, taken alone, would be enough for a student to make a name for themselves at Jing University!

And now, these three legendary feats had all happened to the same person!

On the campus forums, all those previous posts questioning and mocking Gu Yuexi had long been deleted without a trace.

In their place were countless posts of frenzied praise and adoration!

“I declare, from this day forward, Gu Yuexi is my one and only goddess! What ’Future Empress’? That’s thinking too small! This is the damn descent of a true Empress!”

“If anyone calls that mosquito an ornamental pet again, I’ll fight them! That’s literally my dream beast, okay? Handsome and fierce, taking out a Seventh-Grade in one move—what kind of divine Contracted Beast is that?”

“Say no more. I’ve already set a screenshot of the mosquito’s transformation as my wallpaper. I worship it every day, hoping it’ll bless me so I don’t fail my finals…”

“Lord Mosquito! From this day on, you are my one and only lord!”

Unlike the title “Divine Mosquito” from Hong Kong University, at Jing University, Chu Sheng’s title had inexplicably become “Lord Mosquito”…

Throughout Jing University, from ordinary students to the arrogant prodigies, everyone completely acknowledged Gu Yuexi’s status.

No one dared to question her again, and no one dared to provoke her.

…

Despite the storm raging in the outside world, Gu Yuexi, who was at the center of the incident, seemed completely unconcerned.

To her, all of this was merely the resolution of a minor problem.

Su Yingxue’s fate was her own doing.

The path of the Martial Dao was inherently cruel; one wrong step could lead to eternal damnation.

However, the fame from this battle did indeed bring her some expected conveniences… which was precisely why Gu Yuexi had agreed to the duel in the first place.

For example, when she went to class the next day, the professor approached her with a cheerful smile and told her that with her strength and insight, these basic courses were a complete waste of her time. He said she didn’t need to attend anymore and that he would give her full credit for the course.

Naturally, Gu Yuexi gladly accepted.

She never planned to spend a quiet four years at Jing University anyway. Six months at the fastest, or at most… two and a half years would be enough.

For her, Jing University, or rather, the entire city of Kyoto, was just a stepping stone in her reincarnation plan—the second stop after Hong Kong Island.

Here, she needed to use Jing University’s resources to raise her strength as quickly as possible.

Among these, the most important target was the one that would only officially open to students in about six months—Jing University’s Secret Realm Zero!

A very rare Demigod-level Secret Realm!

In her past life, it had taken Gu Yuexi several years to make her way to Kyoto and enter Secret Realm Zero.

But in this life, relying on the foresight from her rebirth, she had laid out her plans years in advance. Right now, Secret Realm Zero was still in the exploration and evaluation phase by the university’s upper management and had not yet been opened.

However, she wasn’t in a hurry.

Before Secret Realm Zero opened, Jing University’s other Secret Realms, numbered 1 through 10, also possessed excellent resources that were more than enough to help her rapidly advance her realm.

According to her plan, before leaving Jing University, her realm had to reach at least the Sixth-Grade!

…

While Gu Yuexi was contemplating her grand development plan, Chu Sheng, on the other hand, was also calculating his own growth strategy.

’From the looks of it, I’ve temporarily found a source for Mental Power.’

’With so many high-quality “leeks” in the Jing University female dorms—especially in the S-Class dorm area, where every student is a promising seedling full of spirit and with a solid foundation—I have enough to feed on for a while.’

’But what about Qi Blood?’

’The Qi Blood absorbed from humans is impure and riddled with contaminants; the conversion rate is far, far too low! It’s nowhere near as pure and efficient as Demon Beast Essence Blood.’

Moreover, Jing University didn’t seem to have a dedicated Simulation Ecological Zone on campus like Hong Kong University, where a large number of Demon Beasts were raised for students to train against.

’In that case, if I want to find a place with a high concentration of Demon Beasts, there’s only one option… the Secret Realms!’

’Coincidentally, I currently have just over sixty thousand Evolution Points, still a far cry from the one hundred thousand needed for my next full evolution.’

’It’s time to go on a killing spree in the Secret Realms and farm a wave of Evolution Points!’

BUZZ. (’Let’s go get some credits!’)

Gu Yuexi was in complete agreement. They immediately set off, flying towards a special location on campus.

…

Jing University, Credit Management Office.

This place was better known to students by another name—the Credit Hall.

It was a grand, ancient-style hall with flying eaves and interlocking brackets, exuding a magnificent aura. Located in the central area of the campus, it was one of the most popular places at all of Jing University.

It was also a must-visit place!

The Credit Hall was a core institution born from Jing University’s implementation of a Sect-like management system.

It primarily served three functions:

First, managing and recording all student credit fluctuations.

Second, issuing all sorts of “credit missions.” Students could earn credits by completing these missions.

The variety of missions was vast. They ranged from small tasks like completing chores for the student council or serving as a professor’s teaching assistant, to large-scale endeavors. These could involve entering dangerous zones to find top-tier cultivation materials or representing the university on highly difficult commissions, all for a substantial amount of credits.

Furthermore, the ones posting missions weren’t limited to just university officials.

Individual students could also post private missions in the Credit Hall, such as requesting teammates to explore a Secret Realm or posting a bounty for a certain item. Upon completion, they simply had to transfer the credits at the Credit Hall.

Third, credit exchange.

Many of the precious resources circulating within Jing University could be exchanged for credits.

Everything from Demon Beast Essence Blood of various grades and common Heavenly and Earthly Treasures, to powerful Cultivation Secret Techniques, could be obtained here.

Take Cultivation Techniques, for example. Jing University naturally taught students Cultivation Techniques, Martial Techniques, Spiritual Techniques, combat skills, and so on—all of which were top-tier!

However, the rarer and more powerful Secret Techniques had to be exchanged for with credits by the students themselves.

This included entry into Jing University’s publicly accessible Secret Realms 1 through 10, which also required credits to enter and train in.

The points system that Du Nan City First Middle School had implemented when Chu Sheng and Gu Yuexi were students there was, in fact, an imitation of Jing University’s credit system.

It was just that the scale and the rarity of the resources were on completely different levels.

Finally, and most importantly!

Whether you were earning credits by taking missions or spending them by exchanging for resources, you had to abide by one prerequisite.

At the end of each semester, your credit balance had to be above the passing line set by the university.

For instance, during the first semester of the freshman year, the minimum requirement for regular students at Jing University was to earn 100 credits. Anyone who failed to meet this would be expelled directly, with no room for negotiation.

As for the prodigies in the S-Class, the university had an additional requirement: they had to reach 200 credits by the end of the semester. If they failed, they wouldn’t be expelled, but they would be mercilessly kicked out of the S-Class and demoted to a regular class.
