Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Chapter 283: Chapter 283: The Power of the God-devouring Needle, the Empress is Sucked Unconscious

’Su Yingxue. Isn’t this the so-called Future Empress of Kyoto? What a coincidence!’

’An Empress? I like the sound of that!’

’Well then, let me test the quality of this Future Empress!’

Chu Sheng chuckled inwardly, his interest piqued.

He scanned his surroundings, then silently hid in a corner of the dorm room, waiting patiently.

Since arriving in Kyoto, he had remained in his Primitive Form, never revealing the true form he had attained after seven full evolutions.

Finally, Chu Sheng sensed the Mental Power fluctuations in the Cultivation Chamber slowly subsiding. The sound of running water came from the bathroom. A moment later, a figure wrapped in a bath towel emerged, radiating damp steam and the sweet scent of shower gel.

Su Yingxue was out!

Chu Sheng took a good look… ’Whoa, not bad at all.’

He had to admit, this Su Yingxue definitely had the goods.

Her features were delicate, her skin fair, and her figure was simply fantastic. Although she was just a tiny bit inferior to Gu Yuexi overall, she was still a top-notch beauty.

Her aura was also a bit like Gu Yuexi’s.

Su Yingxue also carried an air of confidence and pride. But in this regard, she was a far cry from Gu Yuexi!

Gu Yuexi’s pride came from the very core of her being, while Su Yingxue’s seemed more like… the kind of arrogance cultivated from being constantly fawned over.

Under Chu Sheng’s secret gaze, Su Yingxue dried her hair, changed into her pajamas, and soon lay down on her bed, entering a meditative-like state of sleep.

Even her sleeping posture was perfectly proper, with her hands crossed over her abdomen and her breathing steady and deep.

’Now’s my chance!’

Chu Sheng beat his wings and flew silently to her bedside.

He observed her closely. This Su Yingxue had to be a Spiritual Mind Master, and her talent was indeed quite good. Her Mental Power had already reached the Fourth-Grade Realm and was extremely condensed, far surpassing others of the same rank.

Between her brows, her Mental Power had condensed into a semi-corporeal state, emitting a faint glow.

Especially during sleep, Mental Power tends to unconsciously leak out and gather between the eyebrows.

This phenomenon was very common for those in the Middle-Grade Realm of Mental Power, indicating that she had an exceptionally solid foundation in her spiritual cultivation.

’What excellent material!’

Of course, Gu Yuexi was a different story.

Although Gu Yuexi’s Mental Power was even more condensed, Chu Sheng had never seen it leak. She had long since entered the state of complete internalization characteristic of the High Grade Realm.

After observing for a while longer, once he was sure Su Yingxue was fast asleep, Chu Sheng rubbed his little… hands… together and began his operation!

He floated down and landed lightly between Su Yingxue’s brows, slowly aiming his God-devouring Needle at the wisp of semi-corporeal Mental Power.

Then, he pierced it.

’Time to feast!’

However, something unexpected happened.

This was the first time Chu Sheng had absorbed a human’s Mental Power since his Soul-devouring Demon Spike had upgraded into the God-devouring Needle.

His previous few feedings had been on either Elixirs containing Alien Race Energy, an Insect Beast contaminated by an Alien Race, or, even more extreme, the consciousness clone of that Evil God!

He hadn’t yet adjusted to just how terrifyingly efficient his newly upgraded proboscis was at sucking ordinary Mental Power!

On top of that, from sucking Alien Race Energy, he had developed a habit of taking huge, unhesitating gulps of three thousand points at a time.

So…

This time, he sucked a little too hard!

“Ngh…”

On the bed, Su Yingxue, who had been sleeping peacefully, suddenly furrowed her brow. Her body instinctively curled up as if she were enduring some immense pain.

Before Chu Sheng could even process what was happening, he felt a surge of energy, dozens of times more potent than any Fourth-Grade Mental Power he’d absorbed before, flood into his proboscis!

’This feeling… is pretty damn good!’

But while he was enjoying himself, Su Yingxue was in misery.

Her tightly shut eyes fluttered open unconsciously, the whites showing, and her body convulsed violently twice, and then…

And then she went completely still, having passed out cold.

[Mental Power +200]

The system notification arrived belatedly.

’Holy crap?!’

Chu Sheng saw the system prompt, then looked down at Su Yingxue, whose face had instantly turned ashen-white as she lay completely unconscious. He was a bit dumbfounded himself.

’What happened?’

’Two hundred points?!’

Although it couldn’t compare to his previous hauls of three thousand at a time, based on his past experience, the bit of semi-corporeal Mental Power that leaked and gathered between the brows of an ordinary Fourth-Grade Spiritual Mind Master would, at most, provide him with about twenty points.

’This two hundred points… don’t tell me I used the spiritual medium between her brows to shove my proboscis straight into her Sea of Consciousness and forcibly suck out a huge chunk of her “reserves”?!’

’Ah, this…’

’What a sin, what a sin!’

Chu Sheng muttered to himself as he looked at Su Yingxue, who was now pale as a ghost.

’No way, right? One sip and she’s knocked out?’

’Looks like this God-devouring Needle is just too powerful after its upgrade. I’ll have to be more careful.’

He buzzed twice at Su Yingxue in silence, a gesture of his insignificant apology, then beat his wings and made a swift getaway.

’Gotta go, gotta go.’

’Since this Su Yingxue is called the Future Empress, her spiritual talent must be excellent, like her recovery rate and all that. So, she’s definitely not dead!’

Next, Chu Sheng found a few more girls’ dorms.

However, having learned his lesson, he was more careful this time, not daring to suck so recklessly.

He took each sip cautiously, tasting lightly before stopping, ensuring he wouldn’t knock anyone out again.

In the end, after a whole night’s work, he had harvested nearly a thousand points of Mental Power.

[Ding, Mental Power +998]

[Current Mental Power: 148,998 (Fifth-Grade Early Stage)]

Although it was far less than what he got from sucking Alien Race Energy, one had to remember that the reason that energy was so potent—three thousand points in a single gulp—was because it was Alien Race Energy of the Evil God Level.

Even if it was just a partial will of a clone, it was incomparable to that of an ordinary Alien Race member.

So, he definitely couldn’t complain about the amount!

’Later, I’ll look for the dorms of the Spiritual System-related academies. With the increased efficiency of the God-devouring Needle, if I move a little faster, I should be able to get even more each night!’

…

「The next day.」

「Jing University, Beast Taming Academy, S-Class Classroom.」

Gu Yuexi arrived here, with Chu Sheng in tow.

Although she didn’t need a teacher to instruct her, since she was new, she still had to attend class.

Only after demonstrating sufficient talent and ability could she hope to enjoy certain privileges!

Chu Sheng had been busy all night and was now catching up on sleep, perched atop Gu Yuexi’s head.

This year’s Beast Taming S-Class didn’t have many students, only twenty in total. Gu Yuexi was the last to arrive.

When she pushed the door open and walked into the classroom, all eyes turned to her in unison.

The classroom fell silent for a moment, followed immediately by a wave of low murmurs.

Awe was everyone’s first reaction.

Gu Yuexi’s looks and aura were too outstanding. Even at Jing University, a place teeming with geniuses, she was unforgettable.

But after the initial awe, a variety of gazes—scrutinizing, curious, and even doubtful—followed.

In a place like Jing University’s S-Class, looks alone were far from enough. They could even become a burden, causing one to be seen as mere eye candy.

At the front of the class, a middle-aged instructor pushed up his glasses and motioned for Gu Yuexi to introduce herself.

“Hello, everyone. I’m Gu Yuexi.”

Gu Yuexi’s tone was calm, and she was a person of few words.

The instructor was taken aback for a second before reminding her, “And your Contracted Beast?”

Gu Yuexi paused, then raised a slender finger and pointed to the top of her head, right next to a slightly rebellious cowlick.

“It’s here.”

“My apologies. My Contracted Beast is a bit of a sleepyhead.”
