Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Chapter 255: Chapter 255: Crystal Core Absorption Complete, a Step Away from the Seventh Evolution

’Time Realm?’

’So badass!’

’It seems to be the most mysterious of the Ten Great Realms!’

’What am I waiting for? Let’s get to absorbing!’

[Time Origin detected (extremely small amount). Absorbing…]

If you simply touched this Star Source Crystal Core, which contained Time Origin, you wouldn’t notice anything unusual about the Crystal Core itself.

However, trying to access the Time Origin within seemed to subject one to its influence, producing some sort of temporal effect.

For instance, the simple act of trying to prick its surface with the Soul-devouring Demon Spike had just taken Chu Sheng a full several hours.

And now, the absorption process was the same.

Despite there being only a minuscule amount, it still took the better part of a day before the system’s voice sounded again:

[Ding! Absorption successful. Congratulations, Host, on comprehending a new Realm: Time Realm.]

[Current Time Realm Comprehension: Minor Success 501/2000]

’Minor Success?’

’Not too bad, I suppose. After all, it was only a minuscule amount of the Power of Origin.’

’I just wonder what effects the Time Realm will have at the Minor Success level!’

…

Next, Chu Sheng pressed on, absorbing every single Star Source Crystal Core until they were all spent.

In the small underground chamber, over one hundred Crystal Cores had been reduced to dull, worthless stones, while all of Chu Sheng’s Realm Comprehension levels received a massive boost.

“System, open my Realm panel.”

[The Host’s current Realm Comprehension is as follows:]

[Fire Origin: Initial Glimpse (10,000/100,000)]

[Gold Realm: Great Perfection (8,600/10,000)]

[Thunder Realm: Perfection (7,000/8,000)]

[Spatial Realm: Great Success (4,800/5000)]

[Earth Realm: Great Success (4,500/5000)]

[Water Realm: Great Success (4,200/5000)]

[Wood Realm: Great Success (3,800/5000)]

[Destruction Realm: Minor Success (870/5000)]

[Life Realm: Minor Success (550/2000)]

[Time Realm: Minor Success (501/2000)]

’A massive boost! A truly massive boost!’

First off.

I didn’t even need to mention the Fire Origin. Although its Domain ability was temporarily unusable, all my fire-related Skills had seen a qualitative improvement.

Whether it was Soul-Bursting Flame Feather, the Nether Flame Battle Armor, the Soul-devouring Nether Flame, or Amaterasu’s Eye, their power had all been greatly enhanced.

Take the Celestial Flame triggered by Amaterasu’s Eye. Although it had the overpowered ability of being inextinguishable until its target was burned to ash, its power had only been average because Chu Sheng’s own grade and Fire Realm Comprehension were insufficient.

Previously, when it had burned Ghost’s face, he had managed to nullify it at the cost of slicing off his own skin.

But if it were now, one blast of Amaterasu’s Flame from Chu Sheng would force him to cut off at least half his head!

And what happens when you cut off half your head?

You die.

Secondly.

My Spatial Realm was still only at Great Success, which was a bit of a shame, but it wasn’t far from Perfection.

The Great Perfection of the Gold Realm massively increased the piercing power of all my attacks, allowing them to even ignore Defense! Most importantly, the power of my [Realm-Breaking Claw] was also enhanced.

If I tried to claw through the Silent Annihilation Battle Armor’s Barrier now, it would take at least half the time!

My Thunder Realm Comprehension also went from Great Success to Perfection, with the main upgrades being to [Celestial Thunder Illusion] and [Nine Tribulations Thunder Prison].

The duration of the Celestial Thunder Illusion increased from one hour to a full twelve hours, and its strength was now half of my main body’s base power!

This would greatly enhance the practicality of the Celestial Thunder Illusion.

As for Nine Tribulations Thunder Prison, my desperation Skill… well, not much to say there. Its power was enhanced, but since I’d never used it, I didn’t have much of a feel for it.

’If I used Nine Tribulations Thunder Prison while the Silent Annihilation Battle Armor was at its tenth level, the power should be pretty incredible, right? I’m just worried it would drain me completely dry!’

’It’s also possible I wouldn’t be able to use it at all. After all, the moment I activate the tenth level of the Silent Annihilation Battle Armor, I’m already drained dry.’

As for the Time Realm at Minor Success, it was a special case. The system said its abilities would only manifest after my next full evolution…

Finally.

The most important point concerned the issue of evolution, which was tied to my Realm advancements!

There were Full Evolutions and Minor Evolutions.

Regarding Minor Evolutions.

My Earth, Wood, and Water Realms had all advanced from Minor Success to Great Success, which meant I had three opportunities for direction-specific Minor Evolutions.

In other words, three brand-new Realm Skills would emerge.

However, I didn’t plan on undergoing these three Minor Evolutions right away. Instead, I would wait and do them all at once during my next Full Evolution!

As for Full Evolution—my seventh, to be precise.

The requirements for my next Full Evolution were…

100,000 Qi Blood (Fifth-Grade Early Stage)—current: 94,300. That’s easy, a matter of a couple of bites.

60,000 Mental Power (Fourth-Grade Late Stage)—current: 41,800.

10,000 Evolution Points—current: 16,027. More than enough!

Comprehend at least two Great Perfection Realms—the Fire Realm plus the Gold Realm. Requirement met!

In other words!

Basically, the only thing I’m still missing is Mental Power, and I’m short by a fairly large amount!

About twenty thousand Mental Power… Normally, spending a dozen or so days absorbing in the girls’ dorm would be enough.

’A dozen days… That’s a bit too long!’

Chu Sheng was already feeling unbearably thirsty… no, that wasn’t it. He was just incredibly impatient.

Suddenly, an idea sparked in his mind.

’That’s right!’

’It’s been a while since I last visited Mu’s Spirit Plant Manor to absorb Mental Power. The Spiritual Plants that weren’t mature last time should be just about ready by now, right?’

’Even though there aren’t many left, absorbing around twenty thousand should still be a breeze, right?’

’Hehe, it’s settled then. Time to pay the Mu Family another visit!’

’It’s the perfect opportunity to see what tricks the Mu Family has been up to since Mu Linyuan’s death.’

…

「The next night.」

After resting for a day, Chu Sheng used Instant Teleportation once again to arrive at Mu’s Spirit Plant Manor.

Having been here once before, he was familiar with the layout.

The Mu Family had an Elder who had comprehended the Spatial Realm, and they were also at the Great Success Realm.

The Eighth-Grade Spiritual Plant on the fourth floor of Mu’s Spirit Plant Manor had originally been meant for this Elder to advance their Realm, but Chu Sheng had intercepted it, completely shattering the Mu Family’s plan to infiltrate the Ancient Sunken Star Vein.

In truth, however, even if that Mu Family Elder’s Spatial Realm had reached Perfection, it would have been impossible to ignore the age restriction at the entrance to the Ancient Sunken Star Vein and “smuggle” people inside. They had thought of the Ancient Sunken Star Vein as far too simple.

Mu’s Spirit Plant Manor was protected by a Spatial Array, precisely to prevent people with a Spatial Teleportation ability from getting in to steal things.

Chu Sheng’s Boundless Wings were formidable, but their main advantage was their vast Instant Teleportation range. His Spatial Realm was still at the Great Success level, so even now, he was unable to ignore the Space Array.

But it didn’t matter. He could just dig a tunnel!

“Come, my children!”

“Time to get to work! Let’s dig!”

Chu Sheng directly summoned a group of his Spirit-Devouring Worm minions, who instantly dug a secret underground passage into the manor.

Inside the Spirit Plant Manor, a small hole suddenly appeared in the ground, and Chu Sheng flew out… however, in the next second, he was completely dumbstruck.

’Wait, where are the Spiritual Plants?’

He saw that within the manor, the grounds where vast fields of Spiritual Plants had once been planted were now completely empty.

Not a single one was left!

Chu Sheng inspected the area carefully and discovered that all these Spiritual Plants seemed to have been harvested and taken away just recently!

What’s more, it was a forced harvest. Everything had been cleared out, regardless of whether it was mature or not!

’Something’s not right. Something is very wrong!’

’What is the Mu Family trying to do?!’
