Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Chapter 285: Chapter 285: An Empress’s Presence? It Has to Be Gu Yuexi

The entire area fell dead silent.

Time itself seemed to have frozen.

Every student from the Beast Taming Academy’s S-Class, Zhao Haotian included, stood rooted to the spot as if hit by an Immobilization Technique. Their eyes were wide, fixed on the Crystal Stone in Gu Yuexi’s hand, which emanated a soft, moon-like glow.

That fluctuation of Energy, that unique halo… That was it. The mission objective—the Moonlight Crystal Stone!

Zhao Haotian’s mind went BUZZ and then completely blank.

A second ago, he had been basking in his own meticulous, logical deductions, mocking Gu Yuexi’s recklessness and ignorance with the air of a senior lecturing a junior.

He had even imagined the pathetic sight of Gu Yuexi getting scared witless by the Sixth-Grade Demon Beast, forced to teleport back with her tail between her legs to beg for help.

But now?

Reality had just dealt him a resounding slap in the face!

That slap… It was too fast! Too painful! Too loud!

From the moment Gu Yuexi left to the moment she reappeared, had even a full minute passed?

No!

Absolutely not!

Using Instant Teleportation to reach the lair of the Sixth-Grade Demon Beast, the Furious Python, snatching the Moonlight Crystal Stone from right under its nose, and then teleporting back completely unscathed, all within a minute?

That… sounded simple, didn’t it?

No!

Even a Sixth-Grade expert would find that nearly impossible!

First, there was the distance. Reaching the depths of the Secret Realm was a journey of at least ten thousand meters. Was that little mosquito’s Instant Teleportation Ability really that powerful?

Second, a Sixth-Grade Demon Beast isn’t an idiot. It’s not a training dummy!

The Moonlight Crystal Stone is usually hidden deep within the python’s nest. To get it, you have to face the Demon Beast head-on.

And that Furious Python was known for its Speed and power, a king among Sixth-Grade Demon Beasts!

This Gu Yuexi… and that frail-looking mosquito of hers… What kind of monsters were they?!

Zhao Haotian felt his entire worldview shatter under the unprecedented impact.

He was the captain of Jing University’s S-Class, a top-tier prodigy by any measure.

But in this moment, he clearly recognized just how incompetent and ridiculous he was.

His much-vaunted leadership skills, his meticulously planned tactics—they were all a childish joke in the face of absolute power.

He opened his mouth, but his throat felt as if it were stuffed with cotton. He couldn’t utter a single word.

It wasn’t just him. The other students on the team were all dumbfounded.

They stared at Gu Yuexi’s face, as placid as an undisturbed lake, then at the mosquito dozing on her shoulder, and their minds were thrown into turmoil.

’Holy crap! Who the hell is this new student?’

The students who had previously echoed Zhao Haotian, sneering at Gu Yuexi, now felt a burning sting on their cheeks.

The more arrogant they had been, the more embarrassed they felt now.

’So humiliating!’

…

Watching Gu Yuexi already walking toward the entrance of the Secret Realm, the others exchanged glances before obediently following her.

’Well, guess we got carried to victory.’

「Meanwhile.」

Outside the Secret Realm, the two supervising teachers were observing the situation inside through a monitoring screen.

When they saw Gu Yuexi suddenly disappear with her mosquito, they were both astonished.

“A Space System Contracted Beast? That’s the rarest of the rare!” the teacher from the Spiritual Mind Master Academy exclaimed in admiration.

The teacher from the Beast Taming Academy smiled smugly, but he was also a bit nervous. ’This Gu Yuexi is too much of a maverick,’ he thought. ’Can she really handle a Sixth-Grade Demon Beast?’

The very next second, however, Gu Yuexi’s figure reappeared on the screen, the mission objective now in her hand.

The expressions on both teachers’ faces froze instantly.

“This… That was so fast?!”

“From entry to exit, was it even three minutes total?!”

The Spiritual Mind Master Academy teacher’s expression changed in an instant. He took a deep breath and, with a sense of resignation, used the Secret Realm’s communication device to recall his students.

“All students, return to the exit immediately. The exercise is over.”

Deep in the forest, Su Yingxue and her group were advancing cautiously when they heard their teacher’s command, their faces filled with confusion.

“What’s going on? We just got here, didn’t we?”

“Sir, why are you calling us back?”

The teacher’s weary voice came through the communicator:

“The exercise is over. We… lost.”

Lost?!

How is that possible?!

It’s only been a few minutes since we started, and we’ve already lost?

None of the prodigies from the Spiritual Mind Master Academy’s S-Class could accept this outcome!

It takes time to travel deep into the Secret Realm, and even more time to defeat a Sixth-Grade Demon Beast! This is completely illogical!

When they returned to the Secret Realm’s entrance, filled with resentment and confusion, the first thing they saw was the Moonlight Crystal Stone in Gu Yuexi’s hand, glowing softly amidst the group from the Beast Taming Academy.

HISS!

’The mission objective… they really got it!’

Su Yingxue’s gaze shifted from the Moonlight Crystal Stone to Gu Yuexi’s face.

For some reason, the very first time she laid eyes on this woman, a powerful sense of danger welled up from deep within her.

It was as if she had met her fated nemesis.

「At that moment.」

Gu Yuexi had already handed the Crystal Stone to the teacher and was preparing to leave.

’As long as I get the credits, that’s all that matters.’

She had no interest in sticking around to entertain this crowd with their drama of shock and awe.

However, she had only taken two steps when a voice stopped her.

“Wait a minute!”

It was Su Yingxue.

She hadn’t wanted to speak. A loss was a loss, and saying anything more would just seem petty, unbecoming of an Empress.

But!

Seeing that air of “indifference” about Gu Yuexi—an aura more imperious than her own, the Future Empress—she finally couldn’t hold back!

Gu Yuexi stopped.

“Is there something?”

Since Su Yingxue had already spoken, she decided to go all in.

She took a step forward, her tone accusatory.

“Excuse me, I’d like to know what just happened.”

“It’s impossible to obtain the Moonlight Crystal Stone in such a short amount of time.”

She paused, trying her best to remain composed, and added:

“I don’t mean anything by it. I just hope you can explain it to everyone.”

This was the question everyone present wanted an answer to, especially the students from the Spiritual Mind Master Academy.

Gu Yuexi finally turned around slowly, her cool gaze falling upon Su Yingxue’s face for the first time.

The two “Future Empresses” stood together for the first time. Yet, no matter how one looked at it, Su Yingxue seemed inexplicably a head shorter.

Chu Sheng buzzed:

“BUZZ BUZZ (Haha, so this is that Future Empress from Kyoto.)”

’The Future Empress of Kyoto?’

Gu Yuexi then remembered. She sized up Su Yingxue, and instead of answering, she unconsciously uttered a sentence.

A sentence that made everyone on the scene gasp.

“You… are very weak.”

“An Empress? You’re not worthy.”

Gu Yuexi’s tone was calm, as if she were merely stating her initial assessment.

However, Su Yingxue, who had been maintaining her faint, aloof aura, exploded on the spot.

She could no longer control her emotions.

“What did you say?!”
